Is holding FSKAX and SPY in the same account redundant?

I've moved a portion of my investments to cash, or cash equivalents. My gut feeling is that the AI bandwagon is going to crash badly, and take the rest of the market with it. I'm investing in Healthcare stocks, like ABBV, COR, and also FPHAX since people don't stop getting sick. Also, consumer staples like WMT, CPB, COST (even though their P/E concerns me), and VDC.
Index fund advice? 13.73% VOO 20% VUG 13% VGT 7% FXAIX 4% IHI 5% VXUS 3.5% AVDV 5% XLE 3% FPHAX Recently new to investing. What do you guys think about this fun? Long term goals are to retire comfortably, any advice on if any of these are redundant or not worth? TYIA
I suggest Insurance, IAK. Also Pharma. I picked a mutual fund, FPHAX. There are similar ETFs. Also Defense. I chose PPA. Be aware that its holdings include Boeing, which has been a bit of a drag on PPA. Also Utilities. RSPU, FUTY, and UTES.
There is no world economy without "tech". That reliance will only increase. For a young person, what better sector to focus on? I'm newly retired. My core positions are all index-oriented. I keep about 20% to 25% cash right now. That's a 5% return safe haven, for now. I overweight three "non-tech" sectors (which are all completely dependent on technology anyway, of course). I do the overweight because I see that these sectors tend to pull the S&P 500 upwards. I am thinking more "concentration" rather than diversification. I believe in finding the sweet spots and hitting them hard. Insurance - IAK Defense - PPA Pharma - FPHAX As posted elsewhere, REITs and Utilities (totally dependent on technology) look favorable due to changing monetary policy. REITs - O, VNQ Utilities - RSPU I also like BDCs somewhat, in spite of the changing monetary policy - MAIN, BCSF
I wanted the purest Pharma play possible. This was the best that I could find. I prefer ETFs, I didn’t find one that I liked as much as FPHAX. It’s been very good thus far.
Does FPHAX have an ETF equivalent?
Well, be aware that the S&P 500 beats the pants off both PPA and ITA, long term. I’m retired, I’m hold three sectors as a hedge against a large S&P 500 drawdown: Defense (PPA), Insurance (IAK), and Pharma (FPHAX mutual fund). If I wasn’t retired, I wouldn’t hold any of these. Most importantly, congratulations on investing at age 16. That’s awesome! You are way ahead of me at that age.
I wanted a strictly Pharma ETF. I didn't find one I liked. I went with Fidelity mutual fund, FPHAX. It's as pure a Pharma play that I could find, which I wanted, with a long, solid track record. I've been happy with it, looks like a good long-term investment. I believe Pharma is a sub-sector that may outperform the overall S&P 500 in the next 10 years or more. We shall see!
Im also looking at FPHAX to diversify further
