FRVO!!!!! What the fuck just happened to FRVO. I unfortunately have a small % but I got a notification saying it’s up 20%!!!!!!
As long as people buy puts and get killed by theta, there will be someone selling the premium because delta is favorable. And if the stock is already down a lot, but misunderstood? The seller of that premium sees assignment as rare, but favorable. A good example is FRVO, totally fits the profile-- beaten to shit--ATH was 42$? Now trading at $15. The trader wants that .10 to .30 Delta, looking for time, maybe 60 to 90 days, strikes in the $8 to $12 range. Premium is really not that much on one contract, slow money, but proven. Like checkers, it's dull, but predictable until something with more conviction/profit comes along. In this scenario, it's doubtful FRVO goes much lower than $12, that's another 20% from $15, after a massive drawdown from $42. Assignment would potentially cost $1200. But most likely the seller collects their premium. Would you rather buy lottery tickets, or sell them?
