Volume spikes catching fakeouts is right, but the order matters too. A breakout with volume above baseline but price not yet accelerating is usually still building, one that already broke structure and now has volume above baseline is often too late to catch cleanly. I work on Seismova, we score for this ordering rather than just a volume threshold, right now it's flagging CRWV as a premove long at score 84 because volume is 6.4x baseline and open interest is building while funding is still neutral, no price move yet is the whole point. Doesn't tell you if the coin is good, only that positioning is shifting before price does. False positives are still common on smaller caps, that part isn't solved.
