If your father invested it and it went greatly up, the first thing to consider is whether you really should sell it all or not. If you want to sell, maybe do not sell it all? I know someone who inherited gold coins and was all too happy to sell them all. And then gold skyrocketed. Same thing happened with people inheriting highly collectible cars: "oh I inherited a Ferrari F50, I've got a great offer for 500 K, I'm selling it". Then a few years later the car is worth 6 million or something. So when you inherit something that went greatly up in value and is already up in value, the first to do is to pay respect to the memory of the deceased and realize how great his insight was and weight the pros and cons of selling and wonder if maybe, just maybe, not selling (or at least not selling it all) isn't an option. Compared to inheriting, say, a Ferrari 275 GTB, the advantage of inheriting Bitcoins is that you can sell only part of it (not doable with a car). As a sidenote be extremely careful: plenty of scammers. All direct messages are going to be from scammers. You can probably discuss with an AI (like ChatGPT or Gemini or Grok) to ask about the technicalities when it comes to moving (some of) the coins. Much better than discussing with a scammer who did send you a PM. Also depending on your jurisdiction, you may or may not be asked to prove the source of your Bitcoins. If you create a new account on Coinbase and start sending Bitcoins there, they may ask you where you got them from.

The run started minutes after its lead investor's ownership filing hit EDGAR showing about 174 million common shares' worth of convertible preferred behind a 19.99% cap. Netcapital traded roughly 10 times its float Thursday and kept going after hours, and VEEA's available shares fell from 50,000 to 20,000 with the fee stuck at 920.1%. I've heard about that, don't remember exact figures like CO2 out over life of ICE cars vs CO2 out over life of EV. Scaling looked like a bottleneck for a bit when EV sales have shot up, but they have cooled down in the last couple years. Charging time is still long and people already line up waiting at superchargers. Unveiling a spot with 8-10 stalls sounds great but there might be 8000 cars sold in the area and can overwhelm that spot. Also the actual KWh.. Gasoline is quite energy dense, 15 gallons is 300+ miles. Many EVs get less, but let's say they need 100 KWh to charge 100 KW battery for same 300 miles, will even ignore the heat and AC to DC conversion losses. Multiply that over how many EVs will all need to charge, let's say all of them at night, though more likely it will be people getting home from work stopping at a supercharger between 6-7PM. It's an added recurring demand the power plants will get hit with. Can they service the spikes in demand as waves of consumers dip their toes into EVs year over year? A family member had a Model Y and going to charge it was kinda fun for a while, you set it up, go in, get your soda or whatever. But after a bit, you're just burning time sitting in there watching the numbers tick up. And on 700 mile road trip stopping 4 times for 45 minutes.. They traded in Model Y pretty shortly for a gas powered compact SUV. Anecdotal experience off one family but to say people's complex (or even straightforward) lives dictate how adoption and demand will play out. If gasoline hits $15 a gallon it would make sense to see a slew of folks grabbing an EV and lining up a supercharger in no time.

The 08/25 vs 08/26 mixup explains it. IBIT's in-kind cutoff being 3:59PM ET means anything published at 1PM ET is either previous-day settled data or an estimate. Worth checking the date stamp on aggregator flow numbers before trading them, they lag more than people assume.

You're 100% right. At EXACTLY 11:50PM, 10 minutes before midnight in the USA, a coordinated dump/short was placed on a slew of coins all at the same time basically mirroring the October 10th crash. The theory is that the exchanges + market makers coordinated this in order to steal millions of dollars of leveraged long's money. Because there are no mitigations post the 10/10 crash and nobody sued their criminal asses, they get away with this blatant stealing and cheating and lying. Anyone who thinks this is NORMAL is a blind sheep! They fucked up the latest crypto rally with many alts still unable to recover because of it.

Thanks! I think once you get to an exposure you're comfortable with, there's no need to keep adding just for the sake of it. I'm still very bullish on Bitcoin long term, but I'm happy with my crypto and PM positions now so most of my new money is going into ETFs to balance things out. He works from home for a family-owned company - which I assume is why there's so much freedom and so little discipline. Out of two monitors, his actual job files take up maybe 10% of the screen space; the rest is trading charts and AI chat windows giving him trading advice, running constantly. But now I’m generally curious what the best way to handle would be. I would be worried it WAS a scam if I received a message from my cold wallet company that I needed to immediately create a new wallet with a new seed and move all my funds bc the current wallet is compromised…. That’s how every scam email and text and PM sounds…. Fascinating
