HUGE SCAM! I challenge anyone ANYONE to tell me that their portfolio of $35,000 has "grown slightly" in two years. Slightly! Guy had it 50/50 with btc and om hahahaha

your idea can potentially work in illiquid markets and is a type of market manipulation but one key aspect people who discuss hypothetical short seller manipulation is they always leave out the part where they need to buy back their short to close it out! every once in while some “geniuses” come along and attempt such game, actually some JP Morgan derivative traders have tried such in Gold, not only does it often blow up in their faces, but remember the minute ANYONE else with LARGER pockets than you learns of your attempt, you are done, you will lose all of it. That’s the short squeeze! and that one works really well, like really well, because the limitless risk of a short position is asymmetrical and means limitless losses, meaning all your collateral. re sha256 you seem to not really understand the role it plays. I’ll repeat. Your comment makes much more sense in the context of elliptic curve cryptography not sha256. And yes the Bitcoin network burns energy that is intentional and a feature, it’s also heating swimming pools, growing food and flowers, and numerous other waste heat applications, even home water heaters. Bitcoin LN already delivers immediate and extremely cheap micro transactions using Bitcoin. It works perfectly, I’m using it and paying for good and service on it, and deposits to CEXs. Not only that but with Bitcoin funded debit cards you can live entirely from Bitcoin self custody wallet and only fund your cards or fiat accounts on an as needed basis. This will also become unnecessary in the next 10 years when LN and other L2 open payment networks roll out with POS support. Square and other Block products are already available. Lastly. hedera is pointless. nobody needs or wants a KYC or AML. this is silly.

No shit! I was reading through all these responses and barely any of them even mention UTXO’s! If they are new to this concept, then I kind of get it, but that is the reason you never stop researching and learning about bitcoin! Always be asking questions, watching interviews, listening to podcasts, reading books, etc! It’s going to save people a while ton of money (not to mention headaches) when they are looking at a ten year pilot of little tiny $20 digital receipts everywhere… PSA: FOR ANYONE READING THIS, DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND LEARN ABOUT WHAT A UTXO IS AND HOW TO MANAGE THEM PROPERLY. IT WILL SAVE YOU LOTS OF MONEY!

A private key is your unique code to access all funds in that crypto wallet. It’s important to take the necessary steps to protect your private key. If you loose that private key or someone steals it, say goodbye to all your crypto in that wallet. Once you get your Trezor, and set up your wallet, it will generate a code for your wallet. What’s good about these types of cold wallets is that they will generate the private key strictly inside the hardware, not connected to any internet. This is a crucial step to protecting your private key. To store you private key: Once your private key is generated and on the trezor, write it down on paper and store it some where safe, such as a safe or a deposit box. A few pieces of advice: - NEVER EVER SHARE YOU PRIVATE KEY TO ANYONE!!! Regardless if it’s someone personal or someone online, NEVER EVER SHARE IT!! - Never store your private key online. If it’s online and your device gets hacked, they can access your wallet and all your funds. - Buy crypto from a hot wallet and swap into your trezor (cold wallet). This minimizes risk and saves money from fees. (Cold wallet platforms charge more if you buy crypto directly from the platform.) - Be vigilant and recognize scams, grifts, or malicious links. Don’t click on any links you don’t trust, they may have access to your wallet. Never sign any malicious contracts you don’t trust, they may access your wallet. - Always double check transactions and signing contracts. Some contracts can be modified in a way that when you sign it, it can drain those specific coins you signed for or even worse, your whole wallet. Overall, millions of wallets get hacked and it’s not the platform or companies fault. It’s user error. If you can be on top of safety and minimize risk, your chances of getting drained / hacked is minimal. It all starts with the users first and foremost. It’s your responsibility to protect your asset and keep it safe. That’s why it’s called “DeFi”. “Decentralized Finance”, meaning, no one has control over your assets except for the person who has the private key. There’s a saying that’s popular in crypto and it goes: “Not your keys, not your coins” Stay safe my friend.

If you have a cold wallet transfer it. Never question the security of your funds. A small amount of bitcoin today could be worth a lot tomorrow and will be worth an unbelievable amount in the future. Im also a parent and I would suggest investing in a plate for your seed phrase. Look up seed phrase storage for a metal plate. NEVER EVER SHARE YOUR SEED PHRASE WITH ANYONE!! EVER EVER EVER

Even the VERY LAST person to adopt Bitcoin on the planet will see prices fall all around them towards the margin cost of production, forever. It's wise that ANYONE adopt bitcoin as soon as possible Read books, listen to "Bitcoin Audible" readings. I truly want to see abundance for EVERYONE like we have never seen as a species.

**HIGHLY RECOMMENDED YOU DELETE YOUR POST AS ANYONE WITH YOUR SEED PHRASE HAS CONTROL OF YOUR FUNDS** As far as your question goes, you need your public address for the account (platform) you want to send to. There should be a withdraw function on the platform you want to transfer from and you will use this to put in the amount and the public address of the account you want to move the funds to.

First of all you are 21 .... that means (excuse my French) you know don't shit about f#ch AND your family knows that you don't know shit about f#ck. ... now ... the fact that WE KNOW that you happen to be right about Bitcoin, this means nothing. You still don't know shit about f#ck AND you shouldn't try to convince ANYONE (least of all your family!) about ANYTHING. Stop giving your family financial advice!

You didn't get burned by Celsius, you got burned by your own incredible stupidity. ANYONE could have seen that Celsius was at the very least taking tremendously irresponsible risk but more likely committing outright fraud. This is OBVIOUS from the rates/yield that were offered. I am SHOCKED and often wonder what kind of stupid person would fall for this scam, but now that you are here I have my answer. Do not spew nonsense suggesting that Strike and Jack Mallers are anything like Celsius and the fraudsters who scammed you. It is YOUR failure to see an obvious scam that is the problem, NOT legitimate lending against bitcoin as collateral. Return to your circus, daft clown

Why is bitcoin 62% of the crypto market?? 🥴 I bought $20 of PEPE a couple of days ago, other than that EXPERIMENT, all the other assets in crypto are scams! 99%! And it’s just way way too easy to rug pull, and times are tough so people are desperate to keep their families going, so no I don’t trust anything but bitcoin. We will see how PEPE does and in the mean time I AM open minded and want to learn, but it’s hard to trust ANYONE!

Do NOT...I repeat, do NOT tell ANYONE to buy ANYTHING when it comes to crypto. They WILL blame you when it goes down, and most will never understand it. Just deny you know anything about crypto and move on (to other topics). The most any of us should do, IMHO, is tell a person to go research about X, Y, Z, and then make a choice of their own.

I certainly would for a fair wage.. that's the point. It's honest work, but it's being exploited.. I'm neither a Republican or a Democrat, because bribes and corruption exists on both sides of the aisle and there are filthy people who play a role in both sides bought off by oligarchs outside of this country.. cough cough -WEF... I do apologize to you for in any way offending you and making the assumption that you're brainwashed, but truthfully and respectfully speaking, many people here in this country are, and it's sad, but then laughable when you realize they CHOOSE to be that way!.. it's a sad case that one can't feel so bad about because you'll only end up losing energy and care for certain opinions... I am a Mexican immigrant who was brought to this country before I could even realize what was going on, I studied and worked here legally, and paid my dues as well as continue to pay taxes.. and I learned by not jumping to conclusions that there is too much propaganda for one to just get carried away, especially by news titles and media which is evidently controlled by rich men (skin color doesn't matter at this point, Jay-z being an example) who work for and hold an agenda.. there is plenty of evidence for why things are the way they are, and Trump isn't playing a role in those games, evidently by the way he attacked THEIR agenda and was multiple times almost offed for doing so.. it's history repeating itself... They did it to Washington, they did it to Lincoln, they did it to Andrew Jackson, they did it to X, King jr, JFK, and to ANYONE who opposes their plans! The same agenda formed by free Masons from the beginning, is still being worked to achieve today.... They often want to distract us and misdirect us from the TRUTH, but the fact is.. History cannot be fully hidden... They can only try every thing to censor those who keep the truth alive. I could NOT share this kind of conversation on YT or Facebook.. it's wild. The only way to see these things is to spend less time arguing about opinion, and spend more time studying and learning the facts.

Basically write a small book with a very detailed list of instructions on how to handle the bitcoin and explanations of the basics in as clear text as you can with as simple text as possible without oversimplifying. It should have warnings like "DO NOT SHARE SEED PHRASE WITH ANYONE YOU DON'T 10000% TRUST" and "BE CAREFUL WHO YOU SEND IT TO AND DO YOUR RESEARCH BEFORE SENDING" at the very start so they won't try to do that while looking for answers. It should also have a list of contacts for people who you FULLY trust to help your family deal with the bitcoin when you die. If no such persons exist, then instead make a set of rules for asking advice from forums (stuff like "don't share seed/private key", "be wary of tricks" and "reveal only strictly necessary info"). Put the last word of your seed phrase in an envelope that is given to your heir according to your will. The rest of the seed phrase should be in a safe along with the book of instructions. The keys of which only your heir and you have. This guarantees it's fully secure until the time is right. At least that's what I'd do in your position.

If this is your fear, then make sure she has a cold storage wallet and make sure she's educated on it. Tell her not to share the keys with ANYONE, including yourself under any circumstances and tell her the only reason to send btc from it is if she means to sell or spend it. If she remembers those two steps it will protect her from most btc-related scams.

As a Bitcoin holder since 2017, I ask what are you smokin? Cause I want some. As a bitcoiner, I dont just view the asset as a way to make money. I view the asset as a solution to a systemic issue with the money today. I view the asset as part of a system that represents hope for the future of humanity and of society. A more fair one and one less fraught with moral hazard. Why put ANYONE in a position wherein they could cheat? Bitcoin is the answer. And the sooner the world realizes it, the sooner we can do something even better. 🤝🫡

I would be careful what you say to others. You're in a household where the 3 of you are struggling to make rent? Be careful the others don't snatch it out from under you. Ideally DO NOT TELL ANYONE (except your financial advisor). Large amounts of money make people jealous and do stupid things. If you let on that you're suddenly rich you'll have distant relatives come out of the woodwork begging for money. Financially, I personally would hold onto it in Bitcoin and only take out what I need as I believe it will continue to go up in value forever. But I may also be an idiot.

Firstly secure your bitcoin in a wallet that you are confident in, and that you no the phrase for. If your happy where it is then that's fine Been said previously but get your self a coin base account. Or equivalent. Transfer a small amount of your bitcoin to it, to check it gets there. Go through the verification process before you deposit a large amount. Deposit a small amount of money into you coin base from a bank account you can withdraw to You need to do all this before you try and withdraw a substational amounts to make sure there are no snags along the way. Then you can move a larger amount in. Depending on what sort of numbers we are talking about here, I would not move more than 1btc onto the exchange at a time before cashing it out. That's at an absolute max aswell. Honestly if I was in your situation I would keep the majority of it as bitcoin and only extract the amounts I needed at anyone time. Don't respond to anyone that dm's you. If you are really struggling you can DM someone from this thread that has given you advice and ask for further information. Do not understand any circumstances given out any keys, any passphrases or any information at all really. Do not transfer bitcoin to any address suggested by someone. Only to an address you have from either the exchange you want to use, or another wallet you want to use. In fact anyone asking you for any sort of information about yourself, or your accounts should not be trusted. BITCOIN IS INHERENTLY SECURE. THE WHOLE POINT IS THAT YOU CAN CONTROL THESE COINS WITHOUT THE NEED FOR GIVING OUT ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION TO ANYONE EXCEPT THE EXCHANGE (Because the exchange needs the information because they deal in Fiat)

For starters, DON’T TELL ANYONE, anything about the amount of money you have, not even the people you know irl (friends, family, etc.). Definitely seek a financial advisor so that you can manage having a lot of money. Don’t buy flashy items or flex on social media. Buy a new place to live (or pretend to struggle until you find a better job) and eat quality food.

Well sir, you are about to learn some life lessons. First, find a financial advisor. Don’t go to the first one you find, find the best one that meets your needs, remember, these are gonna be your money people and you have to deal with them somewhat frequently, make sure it’s people you want to deal with. Second, DO NOT TELL OR GIVE ANYONE A GODDAMNED PENNY…. EVER. The second you tell anyone, you’ll have lots of friends and family, until you run out of $$$ or stop paying for them, and they will all disappear. Yes, even your lifelong friends. Do NOT start paying for things like group dinners unless you want it to be expected weekly for life for people who will feel entitled to your money. If you have to help someone, do it through your financial advisor and do it anonymously. I came into a bunch of money when I was younger, and I’d still have a lot more of it and some of my childhood friends if I had never told a soul. Yeah, never having to worry about money again is great, but once the moochers and bloodsuckers leave, it’s pretty lonely especially if you didn’t grow up in the world you woke up in today. Congrats, your life has already changed for the better, just be extremely careful who you bring along or you’ll be where you were before yesterday before you know it.

Do we have one? One the plus side, border crossing is down. (Although he's also deporting less than Biden did, if that matters.) On the negative side, he's destroying the economy that was handed to him on a platter, he's bombing the markets, he's pissing off ALL of our allies, he's cozying up to Putin, he filled his cabinet with unexperienced knob gobblers who don't know what they're doing, he broke his own trade agreement with our bordered allies, he broke the agreement with Ukraine, he wants to leave NATO, he's negating our influence across the globe, he's breaking federal laws with at least half of the orders he signs (and some directly against the constitution itself), he's destroying and freezing industries left and right because he has no idea how to run a business or a government, to top it off he's letting an unsecure billionaire with massive conflicts of interest into all of our servers to do... whatever he wants, apparently installing stuff, fires all oversight and inspectors, fires ANYONE having to do with his corruption- do I need to go on? Where's this leader putting his country first? Trudeau?

As soon as ANYONE corrects what was said yesterday about Noone being able to hack Bitcoin yet and the truth gets out that's it already been done and they LIE about it so as to not spook the public. There was 184 BILLION made out of thin air a few years ago. They had to reset the whole blockchain to fix it. As soon as someone on television starts to explain to the masses about the difference in utility from Bitcoin (non existing) to XRP ( globally redifinig) then people can start making INFORMED decisions. The only people that can say Bitcoin is "better" are liars. They will only tell you that so they don't lose money. And now that the W.H. won't be buying any new Bitcoin that really hurts em.

Honestly, all you need to do to get ahead with that is have another month's mortgage payment saved up in an HYSA, take it out as the next month's payment comes in and keep stacking up that HYSA interest money as you will be earning about 1% back on money you would be using anyways

The most important characteristic of crypto is that it is permissionless. Everything else (blockchain, decentralization) is just a means to achieve a full permissionless network for transferring value. The desired effect of this, is that ANYONE CAN USE IT, including people you would rather not use it. In a perfect world, scams would be dealt with by law enforcement and they would use the tools that the crypto industry has provided to investigate and prosecute criminals. There are companies that can audit smart contracts to provide information on how easily it can be rugged, there are block explorers that can be used by investigators to trace the movement of money in the same way that Coffeezilla does it. Scams are the fault of law enforcement and regulators, not the legitimate companies operating in this industry, they created what we wanted. A fully censorship resistant network, that anyone can use.

Lol the picture lists the causes, all the things the cameras are pointed at are the things that CAUSE the federal reserve, not the government, to print more money... If you guys would stop playing fucking 21 degrees of conspiracy, Clinton's, and cabals separation....you might see the ACTUAL degrees at which things are separated. Look you can literally predictively dissect the problem backwards it's so simple. If 10 people don't have 9 trillion of the metaphorical 10 trillion printed....we don't have to print more money solves inflation. If Climate change isn't causing us to lose crops, freshwater, housing, and just humans in general...but mostly insurance for all the lost houses. Trillions isn't getting blown back in circulation at insurance companies in coastal cities, mountain cities like salt lake, we don't have to print more money to increase supply, NO INFLATION yeaaa whooo... If 1.7 trillion dollars over the last 10 years isn't given to 10 companies in the form of profit, it hits 100 million Americans with $17,000 extra dollars...PER YEAR of money that could be in circulation and not being held as "stock and non liquid assets" by those 10 companies and you guessed it that means less we would have had to print...meaning ANYONE!? Ben Stein got it folks less inflation, but don't get me started on tariffs. If our military didn't spend 3000 times as much on things that kill humans without any other human using them or using a button, we might not have upside down college debt, which would mean less printed money for haliburton, and large financial institutions to hold on to...wouldn't that mean less inflation too!? If we didn't have supply side economics...We wouldn't have to have a federal reserve to dictate the outflow of wealth from a magic fucking stream into a lake...and we'd follow the lake to the river to the literal ocean of wealth that is waiting to be created by an economy.... instead of just speculating what's giving us water from the stream.... The elephant in the room is the fact that economics is a consequence of humans, not a product, time is a consequence of motion...not a product. One exists in ALL spite of the other, and can be influenced by each other, so says relativity and supply and demand....but neither can ever be over one or the other...so says relativity, and supply and demand. There's not a massive media conspiracy against you, there's not a hypergenius group of individuals in a space station shaped like the Pentagon pulling strings via mysterious pay phone calls and subliminal messages on New York digital billboards, and the FED doesn't control the economy, the Fed attempts to prop up an economic policy that is historically, categorically, and empirically denied as being ever able to work in a non utopian setting. We're fucking idiots ziptying an economy together and calling it perfect, not fucking ethereal mathematicians, fortunetellers, and alchemists, surgically keeping the economy alive. Conspiracies are fun but I swear to God some people believe conspiracies more blindly than they believe we follow the cabal or whatever. THE ENQUIRER IS PROPAGANDA NOT PROOF. Why's this so hard to understand!?

> People should care about centralization vs. Decentralization and premine vs. Fair launch. the private key to the genesis wallet was in public code base. What is more fair than ANYONE can take as much or as little as they like? >Fiat is what crypto is supposed to be the antithesis of, not just fiat 2.0 like ripple is trying to be with a 100% premine. the system has no mining. >It is a joke compared to properly decentralized projects like btc and ltc and will not be a paradigm shift. Provide an example of the centralization of "XRP" that you claim exists. -show how Ripple can doublepsend -show how Ripple can create more XRP -show how Ripple can reverse a transaction -show how Ripple can force a code update on the validators -show how Ripple could censor a user or transaction. Provide any theoretical or practical example like the ones I listed above that prove it is centralized. Ripple control 1 Validator on the network atm. the XRPL requires an 80% super majority to reach consensus. Can you explain how 1 is an 80% super majority? There is no central control over users, transactions, code base, validators, or the network. it is decentralized.

Do not share the words with anyone whatsoever. Period. To access the coins you’ll have to buy a hardware wallet (I use a ledger nano S) and when setting it up you’ll enter the phrases. That’ll give you access to his wallet and whatever’s in it. There’s no telling what the seed phrase is to so it could be Bitcoin or it could be shitcoins. Some wallets are only compatible with certain crypto currencies, but ledger supports various kinds so that would probably be your best bet. Again, do not share the words with ANYONE.

>Ripple controls ~50 billion XRP (out of 100 billion total supply) held in escrow ~43Billion * >giving it immense influence over the market and token distribution. correct, if the price goes down they lose the most and if the price goes up they gain the most. giving them the most basic incentive of, drive the price up. >This concentration of supply undermines decentralization. explain how token ownership in a Non proof of stake consensus gives control over the network, users, codebase, nodes etc. >They also oversee XRP’s development they are not the only dev >protocol upgrades they are not the only dev >and strategic decisions Then why did Ripples cheques amendment take them 3 years to get my validator among others on the network to vote yes and approve of the code update? (sounds like to me you dont know what you re talking about) >Unlike Bitcoin or Ethereum, there is no decentralized community-driven governance model (e.g., miners, stakers, or DAOs). Again, why did it take Ripple the company 3 years to get their cheques amendment approved by the validators to then get applied to the code base? > XRP uses a Consensus Protocol (not Proof of Work or Proof of Stake), where transactions are validated by a pre-approved list of nodes. Which every node gets to decide for themselves if they wish to. Ripple doesnt control the dUNL and runs 1 single validator atm. the XRPL requires and 80% super majority to reach consensus. Can you explain how 1 is an 80% super majority? >The network relies on a small set of ~35 validators, many of which are directly affiliated with Ripple. Literally 1 is run by Ripple. The rest have all Voted against Ripples amendments/proposals in the past many times. IN fact even Ripples on Validator has voted No at times against their own amendment/proposals... >Unlike Bitcoin, where anyone can run a node, Ripple’s validator list is curated, limiting open participation. ANYONE can run any of the 3 node types for the XRPL, (stock, Hub, Validator) you can also specialize further into any of the 9 sub node types. https://github.com/XRPLF/rippled Nobody can stop you from running a node, nobody can stop you from being on someone elses UNL list. anyone can make their UNL anything they want, they can choose to publish their UNL or not. open participation is allowed and no one can stop you from doing so. Listen, if you dont understand the topic, just say so. Its very obvious you need to do A LOT of reading. Maybe come back in a week and then delete your post/apologize for posting misinformation.

Important Lesson: NEVER let yourself get rushed into making financial decisions by citing a “unique once in a lifetime” opportunity! Not by ANYONE! Not a salesman, not your friend, not the media. Period “Opportunities in financial markets are like trains. Another one is always sure to come” Often, when everyone around you says you must invest, you are in the middle of a hype cycle. And more likely than not, too late to the party, just before the bubble bursts - If the opportunity was legit in the first place, because creating pressure to buy is also how fraudsters operate

You can copy/paste the wallet address into the Blockchain here: https://www.blockchain.com/ This will show the balance and all transaction in and out of the wallet. DO NOT SHARE YOUR WORDS WITH ANYONE. THEY ARE HOW YOU ACCESS THE COINS. Check the balance on the Blockchain. The second set of characters might be an access password. One does not trust ANYONE that uses or interacts with the network. Its a \*trustless\* system by design. So the gov starting a reserve is no different than someone else... with near infinite resources and access to the Fed banking window... starting their own BTC reserve. It's good for the market as long as they don't pull a fort knox and make tons of paper BTC without any real BTC behind it.

I want to understand it, but you didn't offer an explanation. You defined some terms and identified some participants and then said "its complicated". But like credit default swaps in the 2008 meltdown, I doubt its too complicated to even attempt an explain. We can now explain 2008 in like 3 sentences: mortgages were lumped into groups and resold for a good profit, hiding the viability of any particluar mortgage. This incentivized offerers to give ANYONE a mortgage no matter how risky because they were just selling them. The end result was a lot more defaults, causing a big mis-risking of those CDSes. I'd love a clear explanation of how it all works!

This is what new people usually do, which isn't wrong, but also isn't right. You are investing in high market cap coins, meaning this 100$ maybe has the potential to become 200-300$ in a couple of months or a year or so, WHICH ISNT BAD AT ALL. But to get these 100--->2000$ trades, you look for lower cap coins that are typically around 50 million to 300 million market cap and are utility coins that have a solid future. For example $ANYONE $ZIG $VANRY $SDEX $WOO $NXRA I'm sure you haven't heard of any of those, but in the next couple of months these coins will be known by everyone. Saying it again, there's nothing wrong with your strategy, it has VERY low risk.

You just invited a shit ton of scammers but ill tell you what I know. NEVER EVER TELL ANYONE YOUR seed phrase - essentially that your password for your wallet. Basically your wallet will have 2 access points, one people can send stuff to, and one you operate and send stuff from (the important one). I highly recommend, instead of doing this yourself, Find an FDIC insured broker that will handle it for you. Some sites require a deposit to operate on. Steer clear of those. Instead opt for ones that require identification (passport, driver's license etc), since these ones are usually larger and more in line with keeping customers safe. Beyond that, im not a great resource. You can follow traders, but always pull your trades early and bet only what you can lose.

No. What he is doing it’s not a threat to decentralization. That has been debunked over and over again and still people come with ridiculous claims like this. No matter how many bitcoin you own, you can’t control the hash rate nor the protocol. The miners and more importantly, THE NODES, keep the blockchain decentralized, not the entities that hold bitcoin. The fact that one individual, company or government can buy as as many coins as they can, following the laws of supply and demand of free markets, has NOTHING to do with Bitcoin´s "centralization". Bitcoin decentralization precisely allows for ANYONE to participate no matter how rich or poor you are, or if you are a private or public individual, a company, a country or a virtual digital entity or any kind of agentic or autonomous AI. So Bitcoin is universal, now even non-humans can buy it and transact with it. In the future maybe even aliens from other galaxies will use it too.

Bitcoin was designed to be permissionless. This means ANYONE can use it, including governments and large corporations. Satoshi understood this from the beginning. Bitcoin being used by large entities was ALWAYS viewed as inevitable. The fact that anyone can use it doesn't change it's decentralization, distributed ledger, or permissionless access. The more you study Bitcoin the more you'll realize it's price can only be manipulated for a period of time before a reckoning of price discovery must occur. It's like trying to hold a giant inflatable beach ball under water for a long time. Eventually it will pop back up. This is because, unlike gold, bitcoins supply is verifiable and easily portable. Bitcoin can be demanded instantly, whereas taking possession of gold is impractical and unlikely.

Sir, blockchain itself does not imply decentralization. There are centralized and decentralized blockchains. But in order to interact with a smart contract you need data on a blockchain. It does not matter if the blockchain is centralized or not for this. In order for a centralized blockchain to interact with a decentralized one, you need a protocol which accomplishes this. So if a private, centralized bank chain wants to interact with let's say, ETH, it can. Both the private, centralized chain and ETH are blockchains. Bringing tokenized data onto a public blockchain or across to another private blockchain requires that data is packaged on a blockchain already. So, a bank may issue a new tokenized asset via its centralized, private blockchain, and then want it to communicate with other bank chains or public chains alike. You don't need proof of stake or proof of work for this to happen. Centralization is also key to blockchain adoption at scale. Certain entities simply should be the source of truth. For example, if you have a fund managed by BlackRock, should ANYONE be able to create a token representative of that fund? In some cases, we have seen people launch RWAs representative of centralized funds and assets over which they have no real control. There is no underlying. This is dangerous, the token itself only represents an idea of a thing, not the thing itself. Yet, if the asset owner/custodian issues a token, we can somewhat "safely" acknowledge that token is backed by something. It is at least inherently less risky than a decentralized group not associated with the asset telling you the token they created is worth something. Then the next step is proof of reserves, which still utilizes centralized bodies but can be several bodies auditing a reserve. Though it's only a few, it's better than one. The data then can be managed by a decentralized system and we can at least ensure clean data (as long as we trust the data) being utilized in smart contracts, so manipulation of the data is almost eliminated, which enables entirely new product suites. One day it could theoretically be possible (though unlikely) for anyone to have a small IoT device monitoring let's say a banks cash reserves and have thousands or millions of eyes on this, translating the data to the blockchain so that things are decentralized through and through, but for now we will need to settle on some layer of trust or all blockchain tech will ever be is a bunch of doggie doo doo coins and rug pulls. Decentralized applications broadly have no value without external data, and most external data comes from a small set of trusted sources or even a single source. What we do with that data can be fully decentralized, and that is a large value add that blockchain brings to the table.

Well as others have said, you start to think 3x before spending any sats because what you have is an appreciating asset and using it to buy depreciating or transient things is probably not the way to go. However, everyone is free to do as they please. I would say the gotchyas are first going to be possible frauds, swindles so know who or what you are dealing with before you even start transacting. Lots of cons and bots and all sorts trying to get your coins and they don't care whether it's 10 bucks or a million. Other common issues are copy/paste poisoning - where you paste in an address to send to but it gets subtly altered between the copy and the paste and so is gone forever. Double-check before hitting that Send button. Never ever ever ever type in your seed phrase or give it to ANYONE at all. Ever.
