Bitcoin-only hardware wallet manufacturers also fund some of the above content creators, but these companies aren't trying to get you to gamble.

The market is humans doing their absolute best to guess the value of things. While humans are trying hard to guess what BTC's true value is, they still have a lot to learn because Bitcoin is a paradigm shift that requires understanding the issues with the current monetary system to be fully appreciated. That requires taking a BIG step back to question "normal" things which is hard for most people. I do think that we are smarter than the market, which is usually rare. We understand something the market does not yet. The sideways trading you mention could indeed be seen as the market not understanding BTC more in the last months. It will come though, more and more people become convinced of BTC's true value and these ideas inevitably propagate. Those people did not buy much BTC compared to people selling for various reasons during these last months, so price has not increased. Even if there aren't more people who get convinced, the price in USD should still rise exponentially just like the M2 supply

See some fake manipulation up move yesterday, a hard sell off from a fake new top, then a skyrocket fast move even more higher, but then immediately a strong sell off pressure again. People are selling the premium price dude. I did go short, get some nice profit. It did again today. Probably down move for the next couple week. The "buy the rumour" phrase is over for now. When people like you get hype up, is time to sell the exciment ;) 66-68k is overhype and too expensive, that's why is the last top. I'm tired and sick of 5x - 6x range. I want to see a nice, BIG RED FAT candle for the next couple week, and a steady 4x range for years. I think 4x range is premium and almost acceptable price, 3x range is normal, 2x range is cheap. Anything above 54k is too expensive and just overhype.

Arbitrage is not as super interesting as it might seem. I've set up bots to monitor through polling, and it is pretty rare that the interchanges differ by more than the fee amounts. Now maybe if you are watching in real time there might be opportunities but certainly in the 30s poll interval there isn't as much opportunity as one might think. This is not to say it can't be done, but you'll want to work out how much opportunity there actually is before you bite the bullet and put a bunch of code in play. Because there some BIG players already doing this all the time. A 3-way triage might work. Or if you match against ETFs, IBKR has an interface for bot trading the regular stock market.

Usually people TP as high as possible (in their opinion, which usually coincide with the historical Ath) ... the fact that a user can limit sell on whatever price spread they want on Binance and such is a BIG issue and leaves place for huge market manipulation from the big whales. Imagine what happens when you know all the TP points of most users ? How easy it is to set your whale sell margins... no wonder BNB is having a blast compared to most of the alt market.

I think old cycles will be relevant to a degree but there is SO much different now its hard to predict. We have BTC as an asset on the stock exchange now and so here to stay (was anyway I know, but for the big money and so affect on alts). Then Trump getting in ( I mean he certainly should, not based on these "weird" MSM shill polls lol).. The strategic BTC stockpile would be interesting. Inflation too.. My alts were in Super Saiyan mode in May but I missed out as had too much going on in life 😭 will catch them the next time (good projects). So I also kind of feel BTC had its ATH this year BUT was that just part of the AI "bubble" popping (which isn't a bubble, computings not going anywhere either) and the economy sucking? I've heard analysts say we may have sideways action for a while then a BIG BTC pump, followed by alts presumably.. I don't know, I just keep dca and buying chunks when everythings down. The trends people are used to have been thrown through a loop. Mt Gox too? The German Govt selling, Japan and the Yen etc etc. Plenty macro will still apply but theres going to be a new look on patterns now IMO, the market always affected crypto before but will be interesting to see how it all plays out in future. For this year, who knows man. I know where you're coming from though.

I feel like if you didn't get in in bitcoin when it was cents--you missed the moment to make BIG money on it. If you want it to actually use it as currency, in the future? It may be worth it. I believe it will probably be 1 of a few crypto currencies that will actually still exist, that already has ATMs in physical locations, in the future. Crypto to me, at this point (it isn't new anymore) is almost like fools good. There are 100s of currencies, nobody is using them as actual currency. Everybody is just trying to invest and hope that particular 1 does like Bitcoin did. There are too many to choose from, too much chance and luck required to pick a big winner... I've stopped investing in crypto. I invested a few years ago, have lost money. I still have some, but have sold some as well. Investing in crypto requires you to be a day trader, like you need to be looking at the market all day, everyday. Regular stocks you can just invest in, and maybe check weekly or a few times a week

I'm sitting on decent gains, but I saw BIG gain wiped away twice now. I have sold off maybe 10-15% of my overall investment over the years and have DCA more weekly but I'm ready for a nice 4x+ from here to hopefully sell somewhat near the top. Plan on DCA out toward the end of this year and then into 2025 if we see the bullrun start in the coming months.

OP is getting shit for semantics but they are *effectively* correct. I like to think of it as buying/owning a piece of the network that we *speculate* will become the final settlement layer for all monetary transactions on Earth one day, and the standard by which we measure any other cryptocurrencies of the future. If we're right, and that's a BIG if, owning almost any amount of self-custodied BTC in the future (even a single satoshi) will be as rare as those who own super yachts today. Even if we're right, we're still decades out from this future, IMO.

I purchased a password book a few years ago. I have all my login info for email, brokerage accounts, hot wallets, cold storage and key phrases. Detailed instructions on how to swap or move it to another crypto wallets. I have a Tangem so one of my cards is in the book also. Ive sat down with my mother and sister (i'm not married) and showed them the book. I have a safety deposit box at my bank that i keep it in. I think the issue with this statement is that the banks have proven they can’t survive financial crisis. The tax payers have to bail the TOO BIG TO FAIL, banks out every time. Now with said, isn’t the article more so about the prevented use of electronic trading exchanges (advancing the technological advances to further prevent efficient market conditions). Combined with by doing so they extracted unnecessary high amounts in fees. Not just the sole particular trade if interest rate swaps, right?
