It's spread over a multitude of addresses. People who speculate that it's 1 million are doing an educated guess as there's no way of knowing if it's just an EARLY miner or it's satoshi himself until it goes onto a fiat onramp/off ramp and then there's a clue.
To be fair to prediction platforms it is not easy to forsee how 3% of the world's population will react to an asset like bitcoin. For your safety and sanity, the best approach will always be to buy bitcoin when you can afford to lose. I am 70% certain 2% of that figure is actively in memecoin trade, which is why most memecoin still get attention irrespective of the frequent rugpulls associated with memecoins. Back to Bitcoin, looking at the innovative and DeFi aspect of Bitcoin you can expect that 3% to hit 4 or even 5% in 12 or 24 months. Whether that 1 or additional 2% will come from the general crypto 7% can be anyone's guess. I originally set a retirement goal for myself in 2014. I had it planned out investing in the S&P 500, and using standard assumptions I would hit my retirement number sometime between the years 2040-2044. Enter Bitcoin. I went in with 40% of my net worth several years ago. Now it's likely I will hit that retirement number in 2025, almost 20 years early. Problem is, I am greedy and that number isn't enough for EARLY retirement. But if I keep working through this next 4 year cycle, I should be where I want to be.
The issue I have is that most of this sub is pure BTC maximalism. They act as though BTC will someday, somehow become the only asset of value, will replace all money, and we will shift our entire world to base our economy on nothing but BTC. And then at the same time, they take any argument contrary to that to be a “buttcoiner” take, and that MUST mean they are “normies” who “don’t get it”. “I was at thanksgiving and I was telling my 87 year old grandma that she’s going to be left behind if she doesn’t transfer all her money into BTC, but the stupid old bat wouldn’t even agree to do HALF?!??! We are SOOOO EARLY!!!!” - this sub probably

Class of 2017 even though I knew about bitcoin as early as 2012 but my goldbug brain told me “it’s not physical so it has no value” and after seeing China failed at stopping bitcoin in 2017 I saw how robust it was. 2017-2021 playing the “alt coin” casino thinking it would get me “more” than just DCAing bitcoin and was throwing loaded dice with RUG PULLS AND PUMP AND DUMPS. I still have many of these garbage “crypto project” tokens but the market cap for a majority of earlier ones has collapsed and it’s too hard to sell or it’s so low it’s worthless. I got a ton of NFTs too most lost over 90% of its value and never recovered. 2021-2024 I had to save very hard to catch up for lost time and now I have enough to RETIRE EARLY whenever Inhave had enough of the working world. I have had WAY LESS STRESS at work now because I have a financial safety net… I no longer stress about lossing my job and it feels like a weight was lifted off my back. Bitcoin was my tool to retake the value siphoned off from me via a corrupt fiat debt monetary system… I WORK LIKE A BEAST OF BURDEN for 20 years only to be compensated with literal DEBT TOKEN FIAT TRASH that gets devalued at 6%/year in real purchasing power. When other people think that bitcoin is “gaining value,” I reframed it and say “BITCOIN IS RETAKING VALUE that was stolen from the working class and gave it back to those who switched from fiat to a harder/sounder monetary ledger which is BITCOIN. Gold at best just stabilizes/buffers the loses from fiat debasement/thieft… but bitcoin is the ONLY ONE that retakes the value the fiat system stolen from you for the decades you were payed in fiat fugazi “money.”
Lessons learned: 1) obvious (but it ALWAYS needs to be stated) - Only invest what you can lose. Why? It prevents you from revenge trading or trading emotionally. I bought ETH at $1500 and DOGE at 0.15, and both of those dropped 33%, and i had to stomach those drops for at least 1+ month. Now they’ve both over 2x’d. Just put the phone away and stop checking. 2) invest in the top 5-10 during bears 3) when something pops off that clearly signals a bull run (like BTC or DOGE popping 10% on trump’s win), that was a huge signal to buy in. Even after a 10-20% run up. BUY 4) if investing a coin, narrative is everything. What has the best narratives? Memes. But the meme MUST be bases on a mass media phenomenon, like pnut, chillguy, GOAT, etc. 5) if investing in a meme, it should be a mascott, and animal mascots perform best, because it feels more real. The mascot should also be an actual name, it shouldn’t just be some random generic “cat coin” or “snake coin” The mascot should also be something that has real popularity that’s actually unique, new, or funny. 6) Do NOT invest in “abstract idea” memes, like winter arc or “being happy”. 7) do NOT invest in celebrity coins. Those are all shit 8) if you find a coin that has a solid narrative (that has lasting power) and is still around 25-50m MC, then BUY and BUY EARLY. I saw chillcoin meme when it was $40m MC and thought “nah thats too high,” but the meme was so strong that it shot up to 500m MC. 9) if your coin dips 50-80%, but it has a solid narrative and lasting meme/popularity, then HOLD. Eventually it will shoot back up.

Yeah, I see posts like this all the time and it's not good. It clearly is just people getting caught up in the moment and act impulsively which they later regret. Never ever do this, as it's all about the slooooooow money. You want to get in as EARLY as possible and then just build compound interest over time, not just going all in with all your savings on literally ATH prices, lol! It's just bad. Yeh I wasn't saying you disagreed, nor am I saying the owner of the wallet in question in this thread has sold the majority. What I'm stating is there aren't many of, IF ANY, early miners who have, and have had, access the whole time, who haven't sold a single sat. I guess you could consider myself somewhat of an earlier miner, I mined to 20 or so different addresses myself. And NO not this kind of EARLY, but early enough not to have presumed or been completely biased of the outcome, I still knew it was a good idea not to have 1 address. I also mined to different addresses with a purpose, that's how I kept track of my Hashrate when I was outside etc, i.e. if wallet 3 was falling behind the others I knew miner3 had a problem, I'm sure others done something similar.

What’s great is that Radix is really awesome and there is something there for everyone! The HUG community isn’t as active or degen as EARLY but it is big. EARLY is wild with a lot of energy. I certainly wouldn’t bet against them! And $DAN is a cool project with passive income built in. Super interesting stuff!
$EARLY community is insane - it's the place to be. Can't go wrong with $HUG either, but $EARLY has the biggest potential on Radix. It's also really friggen entertaining.
Radix meme coin season is picking up tremendous steam. $HUG, $EARLY and $DAN are the real leaders here. $HUG is amazing, but market cap and community activity put it second to $EARLY. You really can't go wrong with any of these 3 coins though. All are low market cap but have passionate long time Radix community members backing them and are consistently growing their base of investors. Boolish on these guys.
I hope you like what you saw! Radix is a really awesome chain. We were just flipped by marketcap this past week, but our FDV is still neck and neck with Early. Mcap is actually the only metric that early has us beat by in this small window of time. Early launched one week after we did and they have been behind us in mcap 95% of the year or more. Sometimes quite substantially so. We also just finished going through a massive downtrend, while early is sitting at ATH. The two other times they flipped us in the past, HUG then went on to break into a new ATH smashing records on Radix. If you are looking into the Radix ecosystem and believe in buying dips, HUG is probably a great option for you. All of that said I really like EARLY a lot, and I am very bullish on it as a project. I am, of course, just a bit more bullish on HUG.

I start putting in short orders at about 100 ticks above the local high of the day before the news. (No, intel announcing a new deal isn't a sell the news. A sell the news is more like elon going on SnL, or BTC halving. Aka, anytime something is announced beforehand with a certain date. The news starts to price in. Bitcoin is nascent tech that your average bitcoiner barely understands; so of course a financial advisor steeped in markets running atop a Keynesian economic system that's been in place for many decades would advise against it. We only just this year got enough regulatory clarity that legacy financial institutions can finally begin to play with it. USB, Wells Fargo, and one more that I am missing are just about to get to a place where they can even begin to pitch it to customers. WE ARE STILL EARLY! By the time it is obvious to most, bitcoin is going to be worth a whole helluva lot more than it's worth now. And OP, I wouldn't say that you are late at all. We haven't gone parabolic, so there is still time. I mean, the most general projections are BTC @100k-125k (most say by the end of 2024, who knows?) at least so that is at a minimum a 2x. And you are very early when it comes to your age. There is a saying. Money makes money. Some people don't realise that fact until they are 30 and feel ashamed for wasting so much money on meaningless games and partying. Most people don't learn that fact and die ignorant. You realising that you need to up your game at the age you are is VERY EARLY. So well done! $400 is nothing. You'll earn millions during your lifetime. Treat this is an important EARLY lesson. And while I have your attention reminder once you start working put aside at least 15% of your income to contribute to a 401k, leave it in index funds, and never touch it before age 59.5.
I got into BTC back in 2013 when it was under $100. I bought into the mindset that it was the currency of the future, an unfuckable money that the government couldn't control. I made it a point then just as I do today to rarely, if ever "spend" my bitcoin. If and when I do, it's for an activity or event. Something that I feel you can't put a price tag on. For example, traveling the world, seeing new places and experiencing new things. It's been a great ride and anyone still on the fence, just know... WE ARE STILL EARLY!
My friend, 0.2 or 20% of a Bitcoin is actually a hell of a lot to have at this point. You'll definitely feel more like that in a few years from now especially. Most people will never own that much, think about that. Assuming you understand economics, how can your statement make sense? Isn t it obvious that all market is the investment vehicle? No one can see the future, and is not all about btc, btc has had more rise in % but there are plenty stocks that have had given a good return to EARLY investors. Now remember btc has a limited supply, as many other investment vehicles, and now shift your attention on the Fiat and the printers that go on and off depending on the rate they want to diminish our buying power or you could put it also as they be printing money so we end up selling our time cheaper and cheaper. Now shift it again at the reply stating "they deserve to be broke" isn t what everyone gets? If they don t use investment vehicles? Even if they have a good daily income when they be turning printers on you make actually less and less.
