Yeah sounds great….except you are reimbursed in CRO and have to lock it up. When I applied for a card last time, I watched as the amount I locked up dumped down about 90% before I could withdraw. So that iPhone reimbursement might START as a $1000 reimbursement, but over six months could dwindle down to $100. And now you just paid nearly full price for a new iPhone. Oh and also lost about $3600 of the $4000 you had to lock up. So you lose.

Well. The problem is everyone forget how much work it actually take to take a fiat payment that is not cash. Getting a bank account, get a credit card use a bulky machine, or a website with a load of stuff happening in the background. The only thing is since do all of this stuff is so ubiquitous that every thinks of it as nothing. It is far easier to set up a wallet, and payment system in crypto, then it is to set up a credit card to make payment, and set up a way to receive payments is way easier in crypto then with cards. The problem is there's no way to go enhanced config. They don't even want you to use the CLI and their whole product is designed like that. I mean it's fine when everything runs out of the box and the whole config can be done via WebGUI. But from my experience that didn't turn out to be sufficient. On top if you want to expose services to the outside the only way of achieving that with START9 is via tor. Which for some is a no-go.

Even in a hyperinflation environment where money printing is a clear and away main cause, there are still always multiple factors. 2. Also agree those factors are still unclear and their weighted importance unknown. However, 3. Money printing, when money is printed, is 100% always and every time one of those factors. That is literally the foundational definition of “inflation”: too much money chasing too few goods. When the money supply increases, the “good” is worth more of those dollars. It does not just change its proportional market value because some arbitrary force decided to print more money. That is all money is. A good. A store of value like anything else. And like every other thing on the face of the earth, if you have 1 million potatoes, you may be willing to give 10,000 of them for an iPhone. And be full and happy with the other 990,000. But, if you only have 100 potatoes. You probably aren’t going to be willing to trade more than 1 for an iPhone if you think you may starve to death in a month. Every single thing has a relative value. Money is no different. If you print more of it, the value of the current supply goes down. Yes, a market is infinitely more complex than that example. Yes, governments can print money and later potentially even have deflation, because there are many different variables. But none of those external variables are the printing of the new money. This is so weird to me… if your buy price is $18k and it’s at $20k down from $68k, you missed your buying opportunity because of a measly 3%. Is your goal to sell after like 10% gain so this is a meaningful percentage? Big lesson in trading: if you’re thinking “it just needs to move x% and I’ll buy” and your exit price is significantly greater than x%… just buy it now or at least START to but it now. Same with selling.
