I believe it will remain highly cyclical with some of them just reacting to specific events related in some way to them. A few will stay around and grow, imo those will be the ones where the actual MEME already existed way before the coin was created like PEPE and DOGE. I also think that it’s a new asset class in itself and will gradually become more of a fun-ish new way to gamble in financial markets. Memecoin ETFs and tradeable indexes are probably coming one day.

Even MEME like SHiB, Doge, Pepe, Bonk, Caw, etc you could hold them for 5 years you will see some massive sell off and some serious gains if you continue to buy during that time. XRP is a prime example as a lot of people hyped it and it blew up in 2017. I believe he reached over $4 and some people carried those bags and continued to add to their stack. Now that it is back near $2 they are finally seeing green some 7 years later. Same with LINK it peaked around $50 for a few days and dropped back down to $3 again. Outside of the ones I listed, which coins will still be relevant and which ones will be new. I'm a holder for the most part since I got wrecked trying to play the game in buying low and selling high. Sometimes I missed significant gains because I didn't use a bot or I held on too long because I would get busy and a coin would drop 50% in like 8 hours.

I am personally super bullish on $DOG as the most popular token on Bitcoin (runes), cuz it is the most decentralized token out there with super fair distribution. no major whales who could manipulate the price. Nice! Its simple, the United States Government hold SHIB and SHIB keeps being utilized by industries globally so I see it having a use in the physical world. I used to think it was a meme but now I see all cryptos by their use. Like Bitcoin I see being used by Government level and SHIB is being used at the industrial/commercial level. Personally I prefer to stick with the big coins. I have BTC, ETH, and SOL. I'm sure some MEME coins will out perform this cycle but just so hard to pick the winners. If you bet early you get the best return but also the best chance of a zero return, and if you wait until one is high you don't know if you're buying the peak or a digital asset that can still 50x from that point. I dunno, I think I'll stick with the big three as I think there's a decent chance they 5x (or better) this cycle anyway, and BTC in particular is just so likely to keep running up well into the future as well.
