For BTC to 10x market share vs gold sounds INSANE unless gold's market share plummets to nothing? But if gold even stagnates at 14.5 TIMES that of bitcoin? JUST to achieve parity bitcoin must reach THIRTY TRILLION DOLLARS and then it will be 1X of gold which incidently will be 1.5 million per bitcoin now UPON that milestone gold would have to remain stagnant and bitcoin would have to achieve FIFTEEN MILLION DOLLARS per coin ...(which as far as price is not far off Saylor's long term prediction of 13 million per.) ....Bitcoin's market cap at fifteen million per coin will be roughly THREE HUNDRED TRILLION DOLLARS! Note the ENTIRE M1 money supply of the ENTIRE world is only 50 trillion so a 15 million dollar 10X of gold would be SIX TIMES what M1 is right now! Do people even think before they make these outlandish predictions? But maybe they only mean btc will 10x what it is now and gold will stay where it is for instance? At this point, many "whales" were already loading shorts in anticipation of a big drop. Then, at 4:30 PM ET and 4:49 PM ET, a "whale" purchased over $23 MILLION of shorts. Where it gets even crazier is that longs were liquidated at a 7:1 ratio to shorts, also historically high. This means that the vast majority (likely 80%+) of the 1.6 MILLION traders who were liquidated were levered long. The "whales" then promptly sold shorts into the 5:20 PM ET bottom, just 30 minutes later, as volume crushed longs. Volume was so strong that it led to the first EVER $20,000 candlestick in Bitcoin, a -$380 BILLION drop in market cap, before a V-shaped bottom as shorts were closed. I’m only 6 months into my crypto journey and these lessons have been the most damaging to my portfolio: - I panic sold while the market was tanking 2 FREAKING TIMES (once out of pure fear and once to try and acquire more coins than I had at the bottom of drop). - I chased runners (Top Sellers) almost weekly and ended up paying an ass load in conversion fees! These few mistakes above AND buying at the damn near tops in January have given my portfolio a good ‘ol ass whoopin to start my investing journey.
