Well, in a vacuum and speaking short term, the TRUMP coin was a bajillion times better because even non-insiders had a chance to buy it and make a good multiple if you were paying attention that day. I think I bought TRUMP at $7 and sold at $28, but I doubt any non-insiders were able to profitably trade LAPTOP. Obviously TRUMP has gone down only after that, with unlocks accelerating it, but at least it had a pump to start whereas LAPTOP started at a ridiculous valuation.

IMO Hunter's supporters are a little more coy than Trumps crowd was back in 2025, so Hunter needs to dress the scam up a bit. I believe the same lowlife people are preparing another similar 'campaign' at the moment and gathering their shady group. At this point I am pretty much done with stupid side crypto projects. All is scam beside bitcoin... but here is how I got targeted, hopefully i can help others not to fall for it... I am member in a few private crypto groups and chats. One of them I have enjoyed for over 4–5 years and I ve spoken with the admin a couple of times, he was always very chill. Obviously I am suspicious he was part of the scheme now but he denies it... still giving him the benefit of the doubt. He says "someone" paid him to pin it as sponsor advice. In beginning of July he pinned a post about up and coming crypto token "JW7 Token" with full analysis and praising of their project. It was not the first time he promotes coins... but the first time we got obliterated in one. I researched briefly, witnessed the token being promoted in few other places... eventually decided to exchange around 70 SOL and put into it, which was approximately 5k $ at the time. 1 JW7 was traded at $46 then and the advice we got was to sell at $80 which "was inevitable by the end of july" (i get it i look like a clown lol) ... there was big analysis and promises you know how these shit tokens work. 5–6 days later, over the course of about 6–7 hours, the coin got obliterated with one big insane red candle and then slowly it got down to what is today: $0.7 (from over $50). I can only assume "the right people" sold in the first red candle and the panic of people like me destoryed it till $0. I will attach chart of the scam coin, but you can search and find it yourself too. I lost almost 90% of my investment by the time i sold. Classic pump and dump. Not the first time, definitely the last - i told myself. Then a week later one of my crypto buddies who also lost money in same jw token, contacts me and send me screenshots of some weird website with weird link (i had no idea back then how dark web onion works). Apparently my buddy was crying in some place about the losses and another guy contacted him exposing him the entire scam explaining to him how we got finessed with the bills to proof. In one of the screenshots clear instructions for the JW7 initial pump with deadlines when to sell and bunch more info about their whole scum operation (i will upload screenshots you can see it). I used AI to teach me how to go to dark web and in no time I download Tor Browser and load their link. And you can't guess the name of this website LOL TRUMP GONE WILD (see screenshot) so this website look just like regular website... you can register as investor or insider. You have ratings, levels of accounts, reviews just like regular shop online. Insiders post campaigns - Investors joins them. One provide the scam operation, the others investing money for pump or whatever is required from them. Obviously this is very illegal, from what chatgpt told me, criminals can hide in dark web and be anonymous without single worry and these sc\*ms have built an entire community that is robbing us, the regular crypto ret\*ards from god knows how much time... I mean we all knew pump and dumps are happening, but i had no idea how organised their deeds are. Today one of their "main guys" created and posted new scheme with introduction where he says "he need XX number of investors and once they put their money in low - he will activate his marketing machine as usual"... and this is most likely who sponsored the post in my group chat... It's not FUD because true FUD is generally baseless (hence the uncertainty portion) pointing out the cyclical nature of Cryptocurrency, the seasonality - which is heavily reinforced by structural data - exists to build certainty and to allow people to invest smarter. Bitcoin (and crypto at large) isn't doing anything it hasn't already done before and in fact it is right on schedule. It's also not FUD to say that 80-90% of all cryptocurrencies are shitcoin scams meant to seperate desperate stupid people from their money. I dabble with small amounts in small projects that I like from time to time but even most of those small projects don't end up making it. Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana are about the only projects with real staying power - TRON performs well but I really don't like Justin Sun, I am highly skeptical of XRP and Cardano/ADA for different reasons. The only longer-term top-20ish coins I think will survive and grow long term are ZCash (and related assets like ZKS), LINK, and AVAX. The "small" projects that I think are worth dabbling in - but the risk/reward will always be higher with emphasis on the risk - will be things like ONDO, Uniswap (exchanges tend to win long term), and maybe JASMY, depending on how macroeconomics continue to play out in Japan relative to Cryptocurrency. To me, most everything else is higher risk than their peers in this list but with the same level of return (so why take the higher risk), straight up useless memecoins, and lastly just blatant scams like what Trump and his family kept shoving onto the market in 2025 (WLFI, TRUMP, MELANIA.)

I know that's not what was said verbatim, but I think some of them neglect to identify areas of prudent holding or buying that may remain. I think if liquidity comes in massive amounts again it will be in those assets that tradfi is embracing - the ones given clarity by the SEC and CFTC. Most alts will indeed die and never return. A few will still get pumped and dumped by big money and waves of retain to board the track before it crashes (ala PEPE and TRUMP coin and similar). I get a sense of cryoto is dead, it likely won't return and it's not safe to stay from these posts. I'm hoping the gist of mine is the opposite.

A huge segment of crypto enthusiasts and small market makers was absolutely destroyed by the TRUMP coin maneuver last year so until there's a base in the markets again it's true that much of the crypto (market) space is an echo chamber for wall street but with fewer referees. Also, > 90% of the space now feels like low IQ online gamblers repeating slogans they heard from influencers while pretending everything is random because they personally cannot think beyond surface level narratives. If your personal 'space' is twitter and telegram you're asking for this. I haven't opened telegram in almost a year and my whole perception of Earth is improved by it.

If people voluntarily choose to buy TRUMP coin, I don't see a problem. American's are forcibly scammed every day by the devaluation of our money and wasting our tax dollars on bullshit and fraud.

Ok - so I'm here to tell you that YES you can launch a coin for practically free (a few pennies in gas probably) and it will show up on DEX. Everyone CAN do this, that's why there are SO MANY coins out there. Clanker, Bankr, Pumpfun, Bagsapp... all options to launch for free and easily swapped (after bonding in the case of pumpfun). And here's the thing - if you make a TRUMP coin right after the real TRUMP coin is launched, you can easily catch a few people trying to buy as quickly as possible and rake in the fees AND sell them. Honorable? No not at all. Possible? Yes extremely. Nobody said this has to be on a CEX... of course that is a lot more work.

Side note worth flagging on the "official $TRUMP" discussions: on Ethereum alone, i've indexed 36 contracts using the $TRUMP ticker over the last 30 days - 14 of them are honeypots or hidden-owner rugs. (And since the initial scan, it's perhaps much more than 14.) If anyone sees "$TRUMP" promoted on Uniswap or in a Telegram pump, the address matters way more than the ticker. Easy way to lose money chasing the wrong thing while the actual coin is on Solana.
