How are they not sufficiently? Our tax system works based on taxing those who have MADE INCOME. Anytime someone makes income (especially the wealthy) it’s taxed. Their assets may continually grow just like mine, yours, and everyone else’s does but they don’t pay taxes u less they actually sell which is called “realized profit”. If they choose to never sell, and never collect income from a job, company they own etc good for them they don’t need to pay any taxes. I realize you probably know all this but I especially think it’s dumb when people think we can just implement a new tax law that taxes unrealized gains which is the most ridiculous idea I’ve ever heard, rich people are very smart and powerful they will just find a way to no longer do things as it was done before. This taxed unrealized gains would simply motivate them to no longer have a “hold long term” mentality (which keeps things stable here in the US markets and allows perpetual growth) and they would simply find another solution to start hoarding their money outside the US control. Don’t be so naive. Instead of thinking us vs them, join them. Do what they do on a much smaller scale. Buy assets, work hard, be smart with your money and your investments, be aggressive when you’re young, go for it, take some risk. Later in life, enjoy! Take loans against your investments TAX FREE because it’s a loan. Enjoy the benefits of what we have in this country.

I bought at the all time high of 2018 at 18000$ and then accumulated at 3800$ and now have 5 full bitcoin & i likley would not have spent that type of money or may have sold if I started at 3800 & then it went to 20gs !! ROTH IRA. ROTH IRA!!! As soon as you have taxable income put as much money as you can stomach into a ROTH IRA and invest it in something not dumb. BTC ETFs would be an option. Regardless of whether you buy Bitcoin or whatever, I can't stress enough how much your future self will thank you for socking away money that's going to grow TAX FREE for ~40+ years. Literally if I could travel back in time and tell my 18yo self one piece of advice, this would be on the short list not far behind "but as much Bitcoin as you can". Read up on IRAs in general. In a ROTH IRA you pay the tax up front but then never pay tax on the gains. And I like a traditional IRA and 401k, the money CAN be accessed before retirement if needed because you're always allowed to withdraw your principal (the amount you've put into it) prior to retirement without penalty or tax. You just can't withdraw any gains, e.g. more than you've contributed. I think this is important for young investors to know because it makes it easier knowing you can use that money if you need it and it's not gone until retirement.

Older guy here in since 2017. Put as much as you can now and forever into a ROTH IRA. Maximize that. Yes you pay taxes on it now but NPT many years later when you need it. Then shift that ROTH to a company that allows BTC. In the future when it 10-100x you can withdraw on any schedule (or not) that you wish TAX FREE. I keep 8-10k in in low cap coins, set a few alerts and swap if I don’t like what I see or learn about what’s going on. I do this cause I was in front of a BTC machine in early 2015 @ 3-4AM. Just got back home from Foxwoods up 20k. A kid came in and bought some, I knew nothing about bitcoin or crypto at that time. I asked him to explain what it was and I would buy him $500 worth, 10% of what I was going to buy. Kid told me it was too complicated and blew me off. I played with the machine, took out the 5k of “FREE Money” I just won and did not buy a single coin, price was around $235-$250. A few months past this 10 year anniversary and I’m looking for gains I could of had. If I lose the 8-10k oh well ,maybe one moons….. Just moving forward not for fomo just cause I know it is possible.

Yes now in this phase market cap has some relevance but long term market cap is completly irrelevant for XRP and few similar protocols out there, XRP price is not effected by basic demand & supply dinamic if that is 2d dimension XRP price dinamic is atleast 4d dimensiona or morel. Basicly XRP price will be effected by FREE circulating supply (witch is curently about 10-13B) and NOT total circulating supply and LIQUIDITY demand (TRANSACTIONS VOLUME) than there comes factors like TURNOVER RATE (how many times can each XRP token turnover on daily basis witch us curently 1500tps) but that is not the only factor we have to input things like XRP parked in those transaction protocols and baking protocols that happen in the background, and this is not all this is just the basics.

I promise I am not trolling, I get what you're saying but you are asking why there is such a behavior as it does not align with their best interest as they would benefit from **full control** , right ? It is akin saying why do people not take safe custody more seriously as there are countless examples of failed exchanges ....? (again human behavior). Even this is their best interest and aligned with the original view, risks exist here. Maybe this idea has not come to fruition yet ? or miners have better plans or for whatever reasons they don't want it...yet ! Their plan (future) cannot be known from an AI. Again, what "should" be is not what "is"... In a perfect word, if you ask me, every user should be a miner, and that might happen if costs of energy drop in a way that anybody can mine for nearly free ( nuclear fusion ?) and Asics are so affordable that anyone can heat his garage for free.....nice wouldn't it be ? I could even tell you that after the last block has been mined, the wealthy hodler people will mine FOR FREE, because there is an incentive for them to be the miners of last resort in a capitalist world....(to protect their wealth)
