Not with a single Antminer S17. Believe me on this, I mine on 4 ASICs + live in a very cold part of the world XD. It doesn't really heat when it's cold to much effect but it definitely overheats if it's hot. I think a cool climate is best because you never overheat your gear.

Thanks for this:) Yes the strats performance in a standard bear market is the thing which has me on the edge of my seat. Backtest says it should be able to but the live test will actually verify if this is true XD Especially now that BTC is correcting and may return to $60k lows and below this is the perfect time to watch my strategy's performance And no I don't have a setup to detect attention/sentiment spikes, I am using a sentiment/narrative API for my setup. There are a few of them out there, I've been using Ruma Fun API so far.

The main thing I tried to be careful about was timestamp alignment between when a narrative spike actually appears in the dataset and when a trade decision would be made. That said, I agree sentiment backtests are particularly prone to leakage if not careful Survivorship bias is also something I’ve been thinking about - the universe I used was the top tokens over the test period rather than just today's survivors, but it’s definitely an area that can distort if mishandled On validation: the results above were from a train/test split rather than full walk-forward. The goal was more to test whether the narrative momentum effect **exists at all** in this sense rather than produce a production-ready strategy. I agree that live performance will almost certainly capture some fraction of backtest returns. How to maximise this fraction/how much it captures is something I am currently testing XD At the very least the thesis was proven that narrative momentum consistently precedes price moves across a large sample Still very much experimental at this stage
