MoonPay uses one time dynamic addresses so sending without an active session just orphans funds in their system. Recently started using Tangem Pay. Love how they integrated the card account into the wallet. This means you can have all your funds in a cold wallet and only push over what you need to the card as and when you need it. Also, the funds you push to the card is in USDC so you never touch fiat until you use the card. You spend USDC and the merchant gets his fiat. Card limits are also very generous at this stage with a load capacity of $50k max but a loading of $100k per day and up to 24 loads a day. Annual spend limit is set at $10m which is way more than any other card I have looked at or used. It's still in beta though. Currently you can only fund the card in USDY Polygon which is a bit of a headache. Yes it's cheap but I feel USDC Tron (TRC-20) would have been a better choice as it's already so widely integrated with brokers and the like. Tangem has however said they will look at including more payment methods in future so let's see where this goes. Also, at present only virtual cards are available. From what I've read, physical cards are on their way and already being tested in Europe. ATM limits are on the low side but for me personally, this is not an issue. I want a card where I will not run into limits while spending and a virtual card is just fine as it works with Google Wallet/Apple pay. Forgot, no fees on the card account and the exchange rate they use if you spend in anything other than USD is Visa's rate + 1% which is not bad at all. So no major markup of the rate. I think Tangem has done a great job with the card account integrated right into your cold wallet on the app.

The gas thing trips up everyone once. TRON needs a small amount of TRX in the same wallet to pay the transfer fee, the USDT cant pay for its own movement. Two ways out. Buy 10-15 TRX (couple dollars) via P2P and send it to that wallet, then your USDT moves fine. Or if its an exchange account, depositing TRC20 USDT into Binance or Bybit usually works without holding TRX because the exchange covers the deposit gas

The USDC shift is basically a card-issuer decision, not a user one. Circle lined up deals with Coinbase and MetaMask Metal to default new loads to USDC because Ethereum USDC has cleaner regulatory coverage in US/EU. if you are new then please look some basic YouTube videos about crypto, how transfer works and what is gas for transfer. also there is many exchanges what you can use it is much easier than some cold wallet. i use mexc, you need do kyc and after that you can buy usdt/usdc with your creditcard. yeah TRC20 just means the Tron network, not the coin itself. you don’t have to send TRX, a lot of people actually send USDT on TRC20 because fees are super low. the main thing is you need a wallet or exchange that specifically supports withdrawals on the TRC20 network. not all apps do, so that’s probably why you’re not seeing it on Kast. my friends ran into that too and had to switch apps. basic flow we usually follow: buy USDT on an exchange that supports TRC20 withdrawals when you withdraw, pick “TRC20” as the network paste your relative’s TRC20 wallet address exactly send a small test amount first before the full transfer the network part is the scary bit because if you pick the wrong one, it’s basically gone. everyone I know double and triple checks that step lol.

The TRX coin is the coin that acts as the "gas" coin while on the Tron network. I personally prefer the Ethereum network or the Polygon network. But if your relative insists that it must be on the Tron network, then I guess it must be on the Tron network. Instead of "gas", thinking of it as a "postage stamp" might be a better analogy. If you wanted to mail a $100 bill to your relative, you have to put the $100 bill in the envelope but also put a stamp on it. In this example, the $100 bill is the USDT token and the stamp is the TRX coin. In short, TRX is the coin used to pay the fee for using the Tron network. Just like, the stamp is how you pay for using the post office. You can send USDT (or any other TRC20) if you want, but the fee is paid in the "gas" coin. The "gas" coin is TRX.

So how much is a "sufficient" amount of **TRX**? * It's dynamic. It varies based on how busy the network is. Think of it as "surge pricing" similar to Uber. Hi, will try to explain as simple as possible. TRC20 is the transfer protocol on the TRON network. TRX is the crypto token of the TRON network. When a transaction needs to be processed on the TRON network and you are using an app Wallet, it will require small amount of TRX to pay for that transaction. Thanks for the detailed explanation, I really appreciate it. The main issue for me is that I can’t really use direct card → crypto purchases on exchanges. In my country crypto is restricted, and if the bank sees that the payment is going to a crypto exchange it can get flagged and the card may be frozen, so I try to avoid transactions that are clearly labeled as crypto purchases. P2P unfortunately doesn’t help much either, because the price there usually follows the black market rate, so the exchange rate advantage basically disappears. That’s why I was looking into creator / donation platforms as a possible workaround. And regarding USDT, the network I usually use is TRC20, sometimes Arbitrum One as well. They probably want to pay you in USDT on the Tron network (TRC-20) or Ethereum network (ERC-20). I would recommend Metamask, Trust Wallet or Phantom as a decent wallet to use. Crypto wallets are not like bank accounts - when you generate one, only the person with the corresponding private key (usually shown to the user as a 'seed phrase' - a combination of 12 or 24 words) can move funds in that wallet. You have to guard this seed phrase with your life - if it's compromised you can and will lose everything on that wallet. Do not save it online. Write it down on paper and keep it somewhere safe. You can create an account on an exchange like coinbase or kraken etc and send the USDT there to swap for traditional bank dollars and withdraw them your bank account. In my local scenes p2p OTC trading, USDT almost always goes through as TRC20. And I believe it's the same pretty much everywhere an OTC market exists. It's just easier for most people to pick TRC20 than to coordinate a common L2 on ETH. I don't own any TRX, but ironically it's probably the chain where I have done the most. ETH and BTC are being adopted at wall street but TRX has been widely adopted by individuals already.
