I don't think so. Nobody knows for sure and crypto does not have a history long enough to prove otherwise. The reason I think we won't is because WS has pumped a ton of money out of the alt coins w/ their corrupt ways of doing business. They started using AI so they know your trade moves better than you do. We also have a crap ton of new coins on the market w/o enough liquidity to go around. The constant rug pulls have turned a lot of folks off and it basically wiped me out. Another fun fact I just learned recently was exchanges like Coinbase will sell your book orders to whoever they can make a buck from. Unfortunately, the greed and corruption of WS and other big money entities have destroyed my hopes for an alt coin season. I know others will disagree and only time will tell. I still own some bitcoin but I won't touch anything else again.

There's better apps/platforms to buy on in Canada. WS charges it's base customers 2% per transaction on crypto. Otherwise WS is solid its just expensive unless your a premium or generational client.

Haven’t you thought about using other exchanges? I have never used WS, but personally, I have never had issues with Binance, and it’s pretty secure, only 0.1% fee! My point is, you could diversify the places where you hold your bitcoin as well, even if low, you can find another exchange that works in your jurisdiction and has a lower fee, thus allowing you to keep more bitcoin!

Yeah I was definitely thinking trezor, I appreciate the advice too on the 0.01 that was definitely something I was wondering, figured I’d just stack on WS for a while since it’s simple although 2% fee, kinda sets a visible goal for me now to get the wallet set up, i have read a little on utxo and I guess it makes sense since most seem to say the most you wanna keep on a market is 0.01

In your TFSA, your gains are tax free. With real BTC (not kept in WS Crypto account, but on your own cold wallet), you have the opportunity to leave Canada and go wherever you want. Beware, withdrawing any appreciable amount from WS will be subject to daily and weekly limits.

I'm going with #1 because I think WS has been doing their absolute best to take all the liquidity they can out of all the other coins. I think they have ruined the chance for another alt coin season possibly ever again. I know that is not a popular belief and I'd love to be wrong but time will tell.

If buying bitcoin is all you want to do, sure. But if you want exposure to tax-free BTC spot ETFs, WS is the game.

You're 100% correct. I use my WS cashback to buy BTC using a crypto account, then send it to my cold wallet every few months.

Lots of WS and PE guys have solana and want it to replace ETH as number two.

not tired, but key takeaway of your rant is when you mention people asking others for whether something is a good advice instead of finding out for themselves by doing the research. the blind trust and faith in experts is one of the weakest links in human society, look how many billions if not trillions those corrupt experts made big pharma during a fake pandemic by suppressing nearly 0 cost treatments for a mediocre flu-like virus by selling them experimental treatment which has never been authorized for use under normal conditions, but was apparently ok to use under "emergency use". same thing with wallstreet. WS is not here to make you money, WS is here to make money off of you, and reward you like 10% of what they make speculating on your money, and if the F up big time, guess what, their friends in big government will bail them out, using which money? well yes, your tax money, causing inflation in the process, which defrauds you of your purchasing power, as they will use the bailout money first to buy assets, and you will get to use this money after it has trickled down and caused higher prices. the game is rigged, it's the central reason bitcoin was invented. I wish there was a bitcoin to completely dismantle the super corrupt global health industry as well. maybe this will be the next bitcoin then *chuckle*

Lol wth is a loss limit. Buy your own coins and move them to your own wallet, not IOU's on WS

A 5% - 10% exposure is not something I would call significant enough to turn things. Perhaps move the needle as we can see with the 8-12% dip but I highly doubt WS will crash BTC

Well the unfortunate reality is that the crypto world now is infiltrated by big boys from WS. They do not particularly care about the individual projects nor the evolution & advancement of the technology. That is just not their MO. Traders be tradin as always for the $$. Sorry but that’s the reality. Liquidations and and liquidity grabs are doing their thing and once things start running up every one of them will be here to exit their positions at next ATHs and such…to leave behind the next gen bag holders collectively licking their wounds and sharing posts of sad sentiment. It’s a cruel world. That’s the nature in investing and this arena is not set up yet to give adequate protection for the avg consumer. Please use your smarts and protect urselves and others from taking on too much risk. There are wolves and there are sheep. No one is out here in crypto assigned to protecting the flock.Be aware and I wish you all the best of luck.

I don't have much so I just keep mine on WS. Don't trust myself with the hard wallet TBH.

Non of you have an absolute idea of what the fuck is going to happen in February and March. This hyper-cycle will truly be historical, NVDA losing 600 Billion, biggest drop ever on WS, the market shrugged it off like a usual red day.
