Did a bit of evaluating today on both options. Im currently in QBTC on Toronto exchange. For me at the time the nice ETF did not exist but now that they do either will significantly reduce my MER. These particular funds in a TFSA (tax fee) account. What I have noticed about QBTC is the diff between ask and sell is significant, and the depth is not great. Im not a high-frequency person but in any moment I want good liquidity. For my purposes the FBTC (canadian in my case) provides a good delta on buy ask and good depth and enough volume for my purposes. Im going to do the swap Monday as in my case either is a good choice LOL

Every time a client from abroad pays me for my services, their bank takes around $25 in fees, and my bank takes $8. Every time. If I have 10 orders a month, on average, that's $330 a month in fees. Almost $4,000 a year. Even before taxes. There are also currency conversion fees, not to mention fluctuation between the USD and my local currency. This is because I don't live in the EU or the US and don't have access to premium services, like some of you do. My options are: 1) Accept my fate 2) Increase my rates to cover the expenses (and become less competitive) 3) Wait for my government to push my country into SEPA or force banks to reduce their fees (LOL, like that's ever happening) 4) Move my entire family and life elsewhere 5) Use bitcoin So for me, being able to receive the amount I'm actually charging is a big deal.
