You’re actually in a reasonably good position if you still have the original Electrum wallet file and some idea of what the password may have contained. You don't necessarily need a btcrecover-tokens-auto.txt file to start testing candidates. BTCRecover can work from a token list you create yourself; the important part is using the correct BTCRecover version/fork and pointing it at the original wallet file with the appropriate token list. Before doing anything else, make a copy of the wallet file and work only on the copy. If you post the exact BTCRecover command you're running and the exact error message it returns — without uploading the wallet file, seed, passwords, or private information — it should be possible to identify where the setup is failing. Also, keep the wallet file and password clues private. Don't send them to anyone who contacts you by DM.

The primary goal was to eliminate the middleman such as a bank or credit card company from online transactions. In digital systems data can easily be copied & pasted. Before Btc a central database like a bank ledger was required to ensure a user didn't spend the same digital $ twice. Btc solves this by publicly broadcasting every transaction to a global network of computers which must all collectively agree on a single, chronological order of history. The network is kept honest with a consensus mechanism called Proof of Work. Basically miners must use computer processing power to solve complex math puzzles. The first to solve it secures a block of transactions & updates the ledger earning newly minted Bitcoin as an incentive. Transactions are permanently hashed together into an ongoing immutable chain of data. Tampering with any historical block would require an attacker to redo all subsequent computer computational work, making fraud mathematically impractical. Brother, investing in crypto is not for the faint of heart. The space is rife with scams that you can easily fall victim to without even knowing it. You probably already have a bunch of DM’s claiming to be support simply from the comment I’m replying to. Crypto is self custody. This means you are in control all of your crypto assets and where they go. If you fall victim to a scam whether or not you know it, it’s gone. There is no getting it back. Getting a really good grasp on how crypto works takes years of learning with mistakes along the way. If you just plan on buying and parking your BTC, that’s cool, but be aware that the ups and downs of crypto are insane to conventional investing. Your $4,000 might turn into $1,000 or it might turn into $10,000. It can happen in a blink of an eye and you may panic. My best advice to you is that I hope the $4k you invested is money you’re ok with physically burning. Invest money into crypto that you’re already ok with losing. That’s the mindset you should have because when the market tanks, it **fucking** tanks.

Start small, stick mostly to BTC and ETH while you learn, and never invest money you might need soon. DCA beats trying to time every pump. Super weird story, please finish reading, it is too absurd and specific to be a scam: I saw a post where you suspected funds in an old Blockchain.info wallet, but there were none when logging in. I had a similar issue with an account I knew contained BTC, that didn't show them anymore. After 9 months of messaging with their support I actually recovered the funds myself, because their web interface is simply broken. That original thread is locked, though, so I can’t reply. I also can't DM you. So I searched for one of your most recent posts, which is this one. Honestly, these fintech companies don't care about anything except their own bottom line, and waiting on their email is just a complete waste of time. My advice: Don't stay passive. Open the in-app chat (Profile > Help > Chat) and keep spamming "live agent" until you get a human. At the same time, send a DM to @RevolutSupport on X (Twitter) and tell them you'll file a formal complaint with the financial ombudsman and post publicly about this if your funds aren't unfrozen immediately. You have to threaten them with escalation so they actually take you seriously and act fast.

Your email should provide you the address where you moved your coins. Copy that address and check on any reputable blockchain explorer to see if the balance is correct. Now if you lost your wallet or access to your wallet there's not much you can do. If you have your 12 or 24 words, enter them in a hardware wallet (NOT in any website) and see if you can access the coins with the hardware wallet. Do not answer DM's. They are all scammers.

The first question isn’t whether Revolut is a bank or an exchange. It’s who controls the keys and what you can do if access to your account is restricted. Check three things: * Can you withdraw each asset on its native network to an address you control? * Do you control the private key or recovery information? * Can you recover the wallet independently if the company or app becomes unavailable? If the service controls the keys, it’s custodial. That isn’t automatically insecure, but you’re accepting company, account-access and withdrawal risk. Self-custody removes that dependency but replaces it with the risk of permanently losing or exposing your recovery secret. If you decide to self-custody, don’t move everything at once. Start with a small withdrawal, verify the correct network and receiving address, and test the complete recovery process before storing a meaningful amount. Keep recovery material offline and ignore anyone offering setup help by DM.

Maybe do some more sophisticated testing on short term with more observations. *Keep in mind w backtesting and examining results that the last month was abnormally good, so perhaps your model is just designed for flat market.
