14% increase in Total futures OPEN interest. That's the amount of people opening Short positions thinking Bitcoin is going to $50,000 When you borrow such positions via leverage on perpetual Futures you increase the demand for Bitcoin making it even more demand than it was before . Even though I was planning on Bitcoin coming to $57,000 the point of interest for smart money based on the huge volumes that come in FED cut rates , I can tell you , we won't see below $60,000. The demand for short positions will surely drive the market. There's absolutely high chances that we will see the breakout. 14% increase ??? In short position?? In open interest ??? Most of September we were at most 4% . But 14%???? Bitcoin is on the verge of a Breakout . The Bullish pennant flag .

First of all, AMAZING QUESTION. That's awesome to hear :) I agreed that we are definitely flying under the radar, but I have a feeling that is going to change very soon. We have been consciously a bit stealth; until we had our messenger integrations up and ready :) As is always the case, I can't reveal any specific projects / teams but I CAN say that the initial batch of projects launching on our LINE Mini dApp infrastructure will be comprised of cool up and coming teams AND established blue-chip teams - all well versed in the general dApp AND TON mini dApp spaces. Also since the audience on LINE is different to TG; definitely more "Web2" - we're also going to be strategic in making sure that we also have "consumer dApps" that will appeal to "web2 users" as well as the more crypto-first Dapps. Initially, the LINE Mini dApps will live on a separate sub ecosystem - the LINE Mini dApp ecosystem will have its own discovery functionality (dApp portal etc.); BUT those mini dApps will also be accessible via external browsers (dependent on the team and project, and obvious the UX won't be as streamlined). Eventually though, the plan is OPEN UP the LINE Mini dApp ecosystem to all builders. The initial round of launches is being whitelisted because we're testing out new waters and we want to make sure that the best experiences go live first, as so they can act as a case study for future LINE Mini dApp builders.

Give me 1k and ill make it into 50k in 8 hours with forex. Crypto is manipulated by whales, ive seen people with open positions in a LOSS of 5mil+, mind you, OPEN position, meaning they have 10x that amount as collateral. And that is not even a whale, big companies are diving into the crypto market now. I've quit, played around forex trading and managed to get 1k+ after starting with 20-50$. Ofc i lost about 3k in total, and made 5k in total last year. These are 7-9 trading sessions in a whole year. If i had 1k sitting in my account while trading, i wouldn't lose a dime. Not like having 20$ and it flies away by a single tick. Im being legit, consider even starting with 10$ with me, and see for your self.

This could be good news for you. Once my ledgers LCD display died and I replaced it easily from watching a YT video. Got LCD from Aliexpress. Now the procedure to OPEN ledger is same. You will have access to buttons directly after opening. If you open it up, the inside board will be still working without the outer case and the 2 button knobs. Use a pen or something to press buttons.

If it’s a great project why not? I think from the many projects that I’ve seen coming and going, these guys at OPEN actually made it happen for 6.7 mln tickets. Their strategy by using a web2.5 approach seems clever. I thank the OP for posting. It’s not a new project for me, but I do like to see it appear more and more. I would follow upcoming announcements around taking football OnChain closely…

> 1 - Get a hardware wallet. No excuses. Get a hardware wallet. Learn how to use it. And make sure that hardware wallet is OPEN SOURCE. **Do Not Buy A Ledger.** Closed source code cannot be trusted. Ledger can't be trusted: [1](https://np.reddit.com/r/CryptoCurrency/comments/13v80ri/the_questions_ledger_owes_us_answers_to/), [2](https://np.reddit.com/r/BitcoinBeginners/comments/1btw3tv/ledgers_wallet/kxotjya/) A hardware wallet with key extraction code cannot be trusted! (Only Ledger does this). It's not about whether or not you can trust Ledger today (Spoiler: You can't). The real issue is whether or not you'll still be able to trust Ledger years from now. If you buy a hardware wallet that runs only open source code - fully open source code - you don't have to trust the company that makes it since the code itself can be verified. Don't trust. Verify. There's a reason Bitcoin is open source. Your hardware wallet should be open source too.

Look for fundamentals, real-world problem-solving solutions utilizing blockchain. You'll quickly find there aren't that many. Make sure you can easily understand. One use case I have spent a lot of research on is ticketing. Bringing tickets onchain can have many benefits, including preventing ticket scalping and fraud, building deeper artist-fan connections, pre-event financing. It solves real-world problems and it's easy to understand that the one (or few) nailing that can conquer a $150Bn industry (both primary and secondary market). There have been 200+ companies trying it. Yet, one withstood COVID lockdowns, and multiple bear markets, they are one of the few that actually use the transparency of blockchain to show they sell millions of tickets onchain every year and it's only increasing. Check out OPEN Ticketing Ecosystem for yourself, for example, the explorer let's you check all tickets sold onchain in real-time!

Mentions:#OPEN

To each point: - Scamming will not exist. Each ticket is tied to a phone number and has a rotating QR code to enter the venue. There are no fake tickets because they are on the blockchain and are verifiable. To date, OPEN has processed 6.5 million tickets and has 0 cases of fraud. - (Points 2 and 3): It costs fractions of a cent to generate and send NFTs. Also, many of the excessive fees come from the secondary markets, which cannot be controlled. With a blockchain-based system, the ticket stays within the ecosystem and has clear and reasonable fees. - No crypto is needed at any point. Event goers pay with fiat, and transferring or reselling tickets is done just as if it were a traditional app. - The wallet is built into the app, no seed phrases are necessary (although a password might be needed as usual).

Mentions:#OPEN

The venues are often stuck with a contract with Ticketmaster, but the contracts eventually end and they can then move on. Several large Dutch venues already use OPEN, and they have been doing Thriftcon events in cities across the US too. The overhead is not too excessive. The system is already built and has processed 6.5 million tickets. Anti-trust regulation might help, but the technology is critical to eliminating the issues with secondary markets. It also provides a way for event organizers to stay connected to their fans through a ticket whose features continue to evolve after the event is over.

u/justsomedudeonthenet is correct. The only things I'll add to that comment are: 1. If the will or the rules of probate allow it, consider distributing the Bitcoin DIRECTLY to his heirs. Using the seed words you imported to Blue Wallet, you have the power to do this. Each heir will need to set up their own Bitcoin wallet and give you their address, which you should verify in person or at least via a live phone call with the recipient. Even better, send the recipient a nominal amount--e.g. 5% of their Bitcoin inheritance--then have them verify receipt into their wallet before sending the rest. 2. If you must convert the Bitcoin to currency, contact an exchange or two and ask them if it's possible to OPEN AN ACCOUNT UNDER THE NAME OF THE ESTATE. I hope you'll find one that will. Sales of Bitcoin incur capital gains taxes, which will need to be paid by the estate, so estimate that tax liability and keep enough cash in the estate's account to pay the tax bill next year. DON'T open the account in your name, or you'll be on the hook for those taxes.

Mentions:#OPEN#DON

Tickets make alot of sense onchain, and provide value outside of what web2 tickets can, or do the same, just better. Slowly the adoption is happening OPEN having 6.5mil tix onchain is proof of that, with it also being a consistently current application of the tech as shown with the many people trying it. Ticketing takes time, slowly, slowly, then all at once.

Mentions:#OPEN

OPEN (formerly known as GET protocol) is an interesting project. They do on-chain ticketing and have sold over 6 million tickets to date (you can even track it all on their explorer). One of the very few projects with an actual usecase and mass adoption. Only a shame it's so under the radar in the crypto space. But they're growing each year and eventually I believe everyone will be on board.

I read some comments about OPEN ($OPN), that looks like something with a good business case. They are working on two large deals it seems (Azerion and another listed company). When that happens things could change north for them. Worth looking into.

I'm glad you asked. Ledger can't be trusted. Here's a summary, with links to cite sources. 1: Ledger's word can't be trusted. The following was a lie: > Your keys are always stored on your device and never leave it > SOURCE: [btchip, Ledger Co-Founder, on May 14th, 2023](https://np.reddit.com/r/ledgerwallet/comments/13gs0xn/using_ledger_with_3rd_party_wallets/jk34kcn/) ...that's a lie because they added key extraction firmware to users devices. 2: Ledger's code can't be trusted. It can't be verified: > There's no backdoor and I obviously can't prove it > SOURCE: [btchip, Ledger owner & co-founder](https://np.reddit.com/r/ledgerwallet/comments/13itm7u/is_there_a_backdoor_yes_or_no/jkbvys7/) ...they can't prove it because their code is closed source. 3: Ledger can't be trusted with your privacy. Their CEO said so: > "If, for you, your privacy is of the utmost importance, please do not use that product, for sure." > SOURCE: [Ledger CEO Pascal Gauthier, on video](https://youtu.be/M3VjQUcyZSY?t=2342) ...Ledger's CEO said that about Ledger Recover. "For sure." 4: Ledger's security can't be trusted. They've been hacked: > Ledger wallet users face mounting home invasion and other scareware threats as hacker dumps private customer information online. > SOURCE: [Cointelegraph, December 24th, 2020](https://cointelegraph.com/news/ledger-data-leak-a-simple-mistake-exposed-270k-crypto-wallet-buyers) ...they can't even keep *their* data secure. Don't trust them with your coins. 5: Ledger's code has been hacked. > Ledger exploit makes you spend Bitcoin instead of altcoins > "A vulnerability in Ledger’s hardware wallets enables hackers to prompt someone to spend Bitcoin instead of an altcoin." > SOURCE: [Decrypt.co](https://decrypt.co/37651/ledger-exploit-makes-you-spend-bitcoin-instead-of-altcoins) Ledger took a year to fix it, only after it was reported in the media. 6: Ledger's hardware has been hacked. > In this post, I’m going to discuss a vulnerability I discovered in Ledger hardware wallets. The vulnerability arose due to Ledger’s use of a custom architecture to work around many of the limitations of their Secure Element. > An attacker can exploit this vulnerability to compromise the device before the user receives it, or to steal private keys from the device physically or, in some scenarios, remotely. > I chose to publish this report in lieu of receiving a bounty from Ledger, mainly because Eric Larchevêque, Ledger’s CEO, made some comments on Reddit which were fraught with technical inaccuracy. As a result of this I became concerned that this vulnerability would not be properly explained to customers. > SOURCE: [Saleem Rashid](https://saleemrashid.com/2018/03/20/breaking-ledger-security-model/) Ledger's bounty payments prevent those who've discovered vulnerabilities from reporting them so Ledger can lie and say they've never been hacked. More lies. 7: Ledger has been phished. > A Ledger employee just got phished. DeFi users lost over $600k > Ledger confirmed the attack was the result of a hacker compromising one of its employees via a phishing attack. After gaining access to Ledger’s internal systems, the hacker planted malicious software within the Ledger Connect Kit. > SOURCE: [DLnews, December 14th, 2023](https://www.dlnews.com/articles/defi/a-ledger-employee-got-phished-defi-users-lost-thousands/) Ah, but then Ledger changed the story, admitting it was a former employee who got phished: 8: Why did an ex-employee still have access to the codebase? Ledger won't say. > How a Single Phishing Link Unleashed Chaos on Crypto: "Ledger has confirmed the attack began because “a former Ledger employee fell victim to a phishing attack.” > Source: [Decrypt](https://decrypt.co/209838/single-phishing-link-unleashed-chaos-on-crypto) How many former Ledger employees still have access to their codebase? Ledger won't say, not that we could trust any answer they'd give. 9: Ledger's been hacked multiple times, and yet... > "The bombshell here is the explicit confirmation that Ledger themselves hold the master decryption key for all Ledger Recover users." > SOURCE: [@sethforprivacy](https://twitter.com/sethforprivacy/status/1671532787294191618) ...what could possibly go wrong, eh? Yikes. 10: Ledger Live tracks everything you do and the coins you have: > "Ledger Live is phoning out data on assets you hold in your hardware wallet the moment you access Ledger Live. It’s also sending out tons of other information about your computer and device." > The app apparently transmits data to an external endpoint at “https://api.segment.io/v1/t”, identified as an outsourced data collection service. > SOURCE: [BitcoinNews.com](https://bitcoinnews.com/ledger-live-app-accused-of-collecting-user-data/) 11: Ledger lies are even on the boxes for their hardware. > "WE ARE OPEN SOURCE" > SOURCE: [Their own packaging.](https://i.redd.it/dysdk6j9516b1.jpg) The box for Ledger hardware running closed-source firmware says Open Source. That's intentionally misleading if not outright fraud. **12: Ledger refuses to answer questions.** They [delete questions](https://np.reddit.com/r/ledgerwallet/comments/13itm7u/is_there_a_backdoor_yes_or_no/jkbvys7/) in comments on their sub. They [shadowban](https://np.reddit.com/r/ledgerwallet/comments/144439c/ledger_please_answer_this_question/) users who ask them. They [scrub their website](https://np.reddit.com/r/ledgerwallet/comments/13z1yew/ledger_updates_academy_articles/) to remove claims they made for years. **The worst part is, this is only a partial list!** For example: [Ledger was still promoting FTX after FTX collapsed.](https://np.reddit.com/r/ledgerwallet/comments/z5rxw8/deleted_by_user/ixy5uc0/) I could go on and on. Ledger is inept. Ledger is dishonest. Ledger. Can't. Be. Trusted.

CAW, OPEN & ORCA are my more high risk ones, but CAW has a bit of hype surrounding it so it might be a quick sharp rise before it disappears, worth having something in it at this point anyway. OPEN seems like a decent project though, used to be QREDO and it had an ATH of about £7, at 0.02 a coin now it I'd another that might be worth just keeping a small amount in for interest. But I'm a novice trader so these all might be the gambles that don't pay off 🤷‍♂️

Yes the biggest losers from Evergrande are western investors- the Chinese government sacrifices them to protect Chinese investors. Avery simple search will confirm this. [https://edition.cnn.com/2021/10/01/business/evergrande-debt-crisis-latest-update-intl-hnk/index.html](https://edition.cnn.com/2021/10/01/business/evergrande-debt-crisis-latest-update-intl-hnk/index.html) [https://www.theguardian.com/business/2024/jan/30/evergrande-collapse-china-property-developer-liquidation-details-impact](https://www.theguardian.com/business/2024/jan/30/evergrande-collapse-china-property-developer-liquidation-details-impact) This means that foreign bondholders – including Top Shine Global, which brought the winding-up petition against the Evergrande – will be “hung out to dry”, says George Magnus, an economist and associate at Soas University of London. And a bailout is unlikely. The Chinese government “certainly don’t want to give priority to making good the losses of foreign creditors over domestic citizens,” says Magnus. “That just wouldn’t be a good look. So to the extent that somebody is going to pay a price, it will be the foreign bondholders.” OPEN YOUR EYES its happening.

OPEN ecosystem, previously known as GET Protocol They are crypto dinosaurs, started in Amsterdam in 2016, raised ETH in an ICO, and started building the guardrails for on-chain ticketing. Alongside their protocol, they created a ticketing company called GUTS Tickets which became a preferred ticketeer for a major venue in the Netherlands. They were meant as a showcase for the white-label solution but grew to the top of ticket companies in the Netherlands (and it's an insanely crowded landscape for such a small country). The solution includes everything, from the website to the app, to the event organizer tools. Next to that, they have the Digital Twin solution which is an API to use the same NFT ticketing engine as the White Label and more or less the starting point for existing ticketing that wants more data about their ticketing life cycle up to NFTs and web3 entries. To date, they have 20+ integrators in several countries around the world for both the White Label as well as the Digital Twin integrators. They are, for example, working with one of the largest ticketing companies in the Netherlands and the Dutch GP to share in-app unique track collectables and add additional benefits to them. The GET token is used to power the ticketing. Integrators need to buy GET from the open market to be able to ticket events. The GET is locked for the entire event life cycle and gets distributed upon ticket scanning at the event. Portion flows to the DAO (currently containing ~6,25M in GET tokens), a big chunk to the GET Foundation, and a chunk to GET stakers (~33% of circulating supply stakes). The token has a fixed supply. Now, why am I only telling you now? Well.. they have been building and building, survived the black Swan event (COVID lockdowns for 2 years globally), outpacing literally hundreds of NFT Ticketing projects, raised ~5M in the bearest of times last year, and are now ready to push the narrative big time. In the following weeks, • GET will rebrand (with the help of the MC/Beam team) • Open token migration • List on a big CEX • Reveal the on-chain ticketing coalition with major industry partners • Reveal new major contracts • Perform web3-focused marketing for the first time in its existence It still has only a 40M market cap and it has been flying under the radar for a long long time.

They're the first to tackle on-chain ticketing, leading in innovation. 2. **Robust Use Case with GUTS Tickets:** Dominating the Dutch market, OPEN’s ticketing platform showcases the practical, real-world application of their tech. 3. **Global Expansion:** With 20+ integrators worldwide, OPEN is scaling fast, indicating a growing demand for its ticketing solution. 4. **Exclusive Partnerships and Features:** Working with top-tier names in the Netherlands and offering unique collectibles and benefits for ticket holders. 5. **GET Token Utility:** Essential for ticketing events, with a fixed supply, indicating potential for value appreciation as demand increases. 6. **Imminent Big Moves:** Rebranding, token migration, major exchange listing, unveiling industry partnerships, and significant contracts on the horizon (adding 10+ million onchain tickets tickets this year alone!) 7. **Decentralised Event Financing**: missed out on previous DeFi explosion. Anything RWA really, wherever there is interest / money to make.. One domain many people don't recognise YET, onchain ticketing. Especially when the ticket inventory from event organizers can be put up as bond to raise funds to pre-finance events. OPEN ecosystem did release this recently https://mirror.xyz/openticketing.eth/XApQNwC9g3eh1-gj-N22W2RgKA8yheTPaJ8w2J3Z_1A

I see so much complaining about ticket master on my timeline that I think people will want to see competition there. I also think that this a very old industry that is yet to be disrupted (like Airbnb and Uber renewed the hotel business and taxi business). I don’t think there has been any innovation in ticketing besides the QR code. So cheers to these OPEN guys. Makes more sense than the next “trillions txs per second protocol”.

Very cool project indeed. It recently rebranded to OPEN. Which is a perfectly cool name, as this is what the industry needs: transparency It used to go under the name of GET. You can even see their 5.6 million ticket transactions to date, https://explorer.get-protocol.io/ True web3 RWA where many grannies bought tickets not knowing it was web3 services ! The blockchain magic happened under the hood out of sight. It was a type of web2.5 approach that really helped them to build and develop.

GET will migrate to OPN on March 28. There will be clear details about how this works in r/OPEN_Ticketing or in the Telegram. So you can buy GET now or OPN after March 28.

- Huge tribalism going on - People shilling their bags That's why I focus on the projects that are chain agnostic and deliver a killer use case. For example, OPEN (rebrand of GET Protocol) is bringing millions of tickets onchain and expanding from ETH and Polygon to Solana, Base, and Tezos.

Met my cousin two days ago to review some finance with him. He is very conservative on his finance approaches. After couple hours conversation, he said still does not see the value BTC offers. He cant make that connection to its like gold but with more versatility. If BTC is becoming a form of gold, or adopted by companies on balance sheet, or used by countries as currency, or being one of the most successful ETF by arguably one of the largest and dominating funds in the world ... LOL, yeah cant convince him and he is truly a smart guy by other standards. Our meeting was involving trust companies and holding companies and personal corporations and how to distribute wealth ... I just found is so odd that could not even convince him to OPEN a WALLET and let me send him a free 10$ of btc. I been in BTC since 2009 and all this time be telling him. In some cases I feel we just at the point where masses will start to be able to know about BTC and we shed that "its for illegal stuff" We shall see.

What problem did the number 0 solve ? It provided us a base layer from which to conduct more advanced mathematical calculations. Bitcoin is the base layer ledger of account … Allowing us to conduct HONEST exchanges of value across the globe . it solves ( for the first time in history )the Byzantine general’s problem. The double spend problem. It provides THE WORLDS FIRST DECENTRALIZED , FULLY OPEN SOURCE AUDITED , SECURE , PERMISSION-LESS , TRUST-LESS ledger to enable exchange of value. If you don’t see value in that … or the number 0 … or the long strings of 1s and 0s that make up binary…. I can’t help you.

That’s not good. What if you forget the encryption password. That’s why I uploaded mine as a regular text file to the shared workspace in Google Drive at my job. I named it “my passphrase SECRET DONT OPEN.txt” so people know that they shouldn’t read it. I also uploaded a copy of it to a public Gist in GitHub but again I put the same file name so that people know that they should not read it because it’s not theirs.

People don't understand this: clients asked BlackRock, "Hey, can you manage my wealth, including bitcoin in my assets?" and Blackrock is requesting Bitcoin ETF. They would do this with cabbages if that were the demand. All the fuss about "it's a conspiracy to destroy Bitcoin" sounds more like a conspiracy theory than anything else. Also, he made Bitcoin OPEN SOURCE and PERMISSIONLESS; from the start, he let the opportunity open for ANYTHING to happen. He didn't want to control it; or superimpose a direction to it. The whitepaper presents an attempt, an experiment. Let it unfold to its end, and let's see.

You're exactly right. Technically speaking, they built a backdoor and they lied about it. Ledger even lies on their packaging. > ["WE ARE OPEN SOURCE"](https://i.redd.it/dysdk6j9516b1.jpg) The box for hardware with closed-source firmware says they're open source. That's intentionally misleading if not outright fraud. The more you learn, the more you'll see that Ledger is dirty.

No, Ledger isn't fine if you care about your security. Ledger can't be trusted. Here's a summary, with links. Their CEO said so: > "If, for you, your privacy is of the utmost importance, please do not use that product, for sure." > SOURCE: [Ledger CEO Pascal Gauthier, on video](https://youtu.be/M3VjQUcyZSY?t=2342) ...he said that about one of his own products. For sure. 4: Ledger's security can't be trusted. 5: Ledger's security has been hacked, and yet... 6: Ledger lies on their packaging. > ["WE ARE OPEN SOURCE"](https://i.redd.it/dysdk6j9516b1.jpg) The box for hardware with closed-source firmware says open source? That's intentionally misleading if not outright fraud. 7: Ledger refuses to answer questions. They're [deleting questions](https://np.reddit.com/r/ledgerwallet/comments/13itm7u/is_there_a_backdoor_yes_or_no/jkbvys7/) in comments on their sub. They're [shadowbanning](https://np.reddit.com/r/ledgerwallet/comments/144439c/ledger_please_answer_this_question/) the users who ask them. They're [scrubbing their website](https://np.reddit.com/r/ledgerwallet/comments/13z1yew/ledger_updates_academy_articles/) to remove claims they've been making for years. They're dirty. Ledger Can't Be Trusted.

Ledger lied about what is in their closed source code. That's the point I'm making. > Your keys are always stored on your device and never leave it > SOURCE: [btchip, Ledger Co-Founder, on May 14th, 2023](https://np.reddit.com/r/ledgerwallet/comments/13gs0xn/using_ledger_with_3rd_party_wallets/jk34kcn/) Think about the date of that quote. No, really, think about that date: **May 14th, 2023** Now, think about how long it took to create Recover. Ledger had to find other companies to partner up with, and lawyers from three different companies had to agree on terms and contracts. Any guesses on how long that took? Ledger had to write the code and test with all three companies. That's quite an undertaking. Think about how many months Ledger was falsely selling hardware while telling customers things like this: > "Hi - your private keys **never** leave the Secure Element chip, which has never been hacked. The Secure Element is 3rd party certified, and is the same technology as used in passports and credit cards. A firmware update cannot extract the private keys from the Secure Element." > [SOURCE](https://twitter.com/Ledger/status/1592551225970548736): @Ledger And this, all of which has recently [been scrubbed from their website]( https://np.reddit.com/r/ledgerwallet/comments/13z1yew/ledger_updates_academy_articles/) > "Private data, such as your private keys will be protected and never leave the device due to the combination of BOLOS and the Secure Element." > [SOURCE](https://www.ledger.com/academy/security/our-custom-operating-system-bolos/): Ledger.com > "The secret keys or seed are never exposed to the BLE stack and never, ever leave the Secure Element." > [SOURCE](https://www.ledger.com/ledger-nano-x-bluetooth-security-model-of-a-wireless-hardware-wallet/): Ledger.com > "While Ledger is using a dual chip system with an MCU as well, the important part is that your private keys remain inside the Secure Element." > [SOURCE](https://www.ledger.com/academy/security/not-all-chips-are-born-equal): Ledger.com > "This means that, beyond keeping your private key offline and away from hackers, the Ledger device itself is also completely impenetrable from external threats" > [SOURCE](https://www.ledger.com/academy/basic-basics/2-how-to-own-crypto/what-is-a-crypto-wallet): Ledger.com Even their packaging lies: > "WE ARE OPEN SOURCE..." > https://i.redd.it/dysdk6j9516b1.jpg The issue isn't that Ledger's firmware is closed source. The issue is that they lie about it, and they lie about what's in it.

>they publicly admitted that they could download firmware to extract seeds This goes the same for Trezor. The average person doesn't compartmentalize when it comes to dealing with this stuff. The risk of having an infected host computer with compromised firmware is just as high. Trezors didn't even have a secure element until their new model, which makes it a dilemma from those shouting from the "MUH OPEN SOURCE" crowd. There has to be *some* element of trust. Of course if you're truly concerned about proper cold storage you should be looking at fully open sourced airgapped solutions anyway.

I literally just talked about the supposed “attack vector” on the device itself that you just mentioned. It’s not possible, view the architecture of the device. You can’t just upload malicious updates Willy Nilly, the ledger device goes through a lot of anti tampering and device attestation before the OPEN SOURCE app even releases it. If you honestly think the firmware update is getting through the whole company without company going rogue itself you’re just mistaken and you should prob read how the device itself works. I did, so I’m telling you how it works, if not I can just link it to you and you read through it yourself if you want. The only attack vector introduced is the companies you export your seed phrase to.

If that is an actual Casascius coin, view the amount under the hologram, BUT *DO NOT OPEN IT*. If you are going to sell it, sell it unopened. This is like a fine wine, if you open it, it loses its collector value. Yes, yes whatever, it’s worth one Bitcoin. I know the arguments. It’s always going to be worth at a MINIMUM 1 BTC (if that’s what is loaded on it) but these things are so stinking rare (unopened) you can probably get even more for it. If you’re going to auction it off, please post in /r/Bitcoin I’d love to follow that.

Just don't jump in any trade blindly. Identify levels of support (a bottom with a following uptrend) and resistance (the top with following sell-off) on a high time frame like 1D or 4hrs. (Go back months) Look for strong structures in between and that will most likely be your mid-range. Now you have a basic setup. Don't go long at resistances, don't short the support. Wait for a clean break or confirmation of either. Set a stop loss when opening the position. That will be the money you are willing to lose! Once in profit lower that stop loss to the amount you wanna have as profit even if price counters the position. Indicators on Trading View (set them as favorite don't use all at once): RSI EMA 200 SMA & EMA crossing (50 & 200) MACD AGGREGATED OPEN INTEREST NET SHORT AND LONG POSITION SMART MONEY CONCEPTS You have to read up on how to interpret these indicators and how to configure them yourself to really understand it. Leveraged trading is possible, play it safe! Look at your margin levels and calculate the possible win/loss, stop losses before opening a position. At best you never really lose money because of the stop losses. Don't trade US-CPI dates or big events. Price is likely to move up and down so quick .... I'm doing it for 2 years. I'm not rich, I'm a noob! I lost a lot of trades but could even them out and you will get to a point where you will make money and don't lose trades. Even if it's just a small amount!
