Unless DJT announces something huge or AI job disruption causes QE (think many trillions) it might be a long time for BTC to see new highs. I joined and helped launch a couple of blockchain startups over the last 4 years. I recently said ‘fuck this’ and went back to a normal corporate job. Main reason? Exactly what you said - DJT. I am looking for new jobs. I know crypto will return just like the dot com companies after the burst. It's time to start earning more now to build up for the future. This time I will be more careful with my crypto investments. The biggest mistake I made was living like a pauper hoping for crypto gains which I did make before 2025. This year was brutal. My gains in 2016-17 were huge and 2021 even more. But 2025 wiped it all out because I was trading based on what DJT saying.

The first major stock market decline due to tariffs this year happened on April 2, 2025 when DJT announced Liberation Day tariffs. Later, the market recovered bigly. 2nd Quarter is April May June. In early July 2025, Donald Trump's administration made several significant tariff announcements, most notably detailing new "reciprocal" tariff rates for numerous countries that would take effect on August 1. Later, the market recovered bigly. 3 Quarter is July, August, September. The second major stock market decline of 2025 related to tariffs occurred on Friday, October 10 when DJT announced big tariffs. Here's my take. They want to buy BTC at a low price. They needed a catalyst which is DJT's tweet. In this crypto space, anything can happen. If you were around last 2021-2022, this shit happened and BTC bounced back stronger. If we traded spot, the loss is much lower however, leverage trading amplified the scenario. Why wouldn’t DJT just order all Canadian crypto held on American exchanges confiscated? What is to stop Binance from being summarily seized and everything held there re-touted to sovereign crypto treasuries? You can’t justify confiscating an entire banks worth of money from 99% normal people just to catch a couple of bad actors. This is absolutely wrong on every level.
Yup. Never guarantees right; but 9/10 historically speaking; lenders do not typically have it priced in prior and that was unexpected. We also do NOT have strong employment numbers, are not in an inflationary period but quite the opposite. I am 1100% not a financial guru but I have done pretty well the last few years betting on the trends. Hell, I made some decent money just investing in companies that current\\previous DJT cabinet members held board or significant stock amounts in a few days after he was sworn in and it paid off quite well. Typically though, the more cuts made and projected the more money taken out of hedging and put into riskier investments.

Polymarket is pricing in a 95% chance of a 25bps cut but 50 makes more sense as a makeup move, 25bps needs additional easing. Imagine if JPOW doesn’t cut at all as a final f u to DJT
