I have a better plan. Why not take advantage of the volatility and swing trade tffff outta of btc using 3x, or not person preference, and ride up the long and then short it on the way back down. Sold some BTC and ETH last month that I have been holding since 2015. It was hard to sell because "BTC WILL REACH $1M" "Move out of gold and put into BTC!," "Michael Saylor blah blah this, Black Rock wah wah that." Was tempted to give into the noise...ssome might happen, or it all can eat it. I echo the earlier posts. I don't know shit, nor do you, but u/biba8163 might now a Hershey Kiss bit of a shit (good post man). 2 reasons why I sold: 1. Whenever I read about all the Junior Nostradamus's talk about moons, and buying Lamborghinis with their gains, I just SMH. 2. San Francisco Real Estate Multifamily homes been on a 5 year downturn but there is a spark of turnaround now. Well I needed a downpayment and thank BTC and ETH for allowing me to make the purchase (I DCA Out BTC at 110-122k and ETH 3800-3900 over the course of 50 days). If they both moon YAY because the RE market loves Bullruns! If they eat shit, boooo, but at least I have a roof over my head to show for it. This last halving licked my left nut as I do hold some shitcoins (KASPA) and I DID get greedy by not selling that last year at the top. Anywho if you think there will be some magical shitcoin run, just make sure you get a low APR on your Porsche loan!!

I’m new to investing. I’m brand new. Maybe started my brokerage account 6 months ago. In that time, I have seen a lot of gains, I check it daily for fun, some days up, some days down, but as a new guy, I really don’t understand the absolute meltdown people are having???? Bitcoin hit a new all time high like a week ago? Now it’s back down to roughly $110,000. Is that really a “dip”????! I mean…if you look at the charts bitcoin has been cut in HALF multiple times, that would mean BTC would have to drop to $60,000 (which has happened multiple times over). It still, in time, had massive gains? Like I said, i’m new, maybe i’m an idiot, it’s very possible, but my mindset when putting my money anywhere (bitcoin, xrp, SMH, SCHG, SHLD) is that yes, i’m gonna look at prices but regardless of what’s happening i’m not even thinking about selling until a MINIMUM of 5 years - ideally 10+. So for me, if BTC dropped down to $10,000, yes, i’d be like holy shit that sucks (probably buy some more) and then just keep waiting. Isn’t the whole idea of investing TIME. HOLDING. Regardless of what’s happening? I mean this all started from a tariff tweet on China. You really don’t think things will rebound as quickly as they fell apart? Btc isn’t going anywhere.

It's funny you said this. Around 2013-2014, I was waiting in a long food line and I ended talking to a guy about bitcoin. I found it interesting but didn't understand it. We talked for about 20-30 about it and I was curious but not curious enough to go back home and investigate/research. Looking back, this was an opportunity that got away. Being someone who like to roll the dice/trade/gamble, I would have bout a few thousand dollars worth at the time had I been proactive in poking around. SMH... There are days where I think, damn, why didn't I do research.. I could have been sitting on $500k+ worth right now. I finally bought in 2018 when it was $8k..lol..oh well, coulda, woulda, shoulda... 🤷

99.9% probability this person has no idea what they are talking about. I even wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt, because the statement is true based on technicality. Even so, they got it wrong, because it’s a certainty (not 99.9% chance) that btc “goes below $10,000” at some point in the future. That could be 100 years (or 500/1000/10k, etc ) from now, but at some point - whether out of extinction, a new monetary system, etc- it will be replaced or cease to exist. But he couldn’t even get that right. Why leave out the 0.1%? Even in the best case scenario it would at minimum be some ridiculously small number it would go beyond a millennium. SMH. Honestly i don’t even know what I’m trying to get, just wanted to point out the stupidity of this statement.

Too add… I keep a group text with loyal HODLers and text them all the time with latest news developments (doing leg work for them) to help develop that conviction. Been doing that for years. For those that drop out, I keep them off that group text. From them, I often get “what do you recommend now?” And I SMH and say “same thing I’ve been saying for 9 years; buy AND HOLD (don’t try to trade and be smarty pants), and they jsut ignore me (although I hope they’re buying in secret but alas). Many of my friends want the quick rise and sale, but don’t have the mental makeup /discipline.patience/conviction to just buy, hold for long time (5+ years) and reap benefits. My mom regularly requests financial advice, then ignores it. She has a poverty mindset. Her side of the family is allergic to wealth. Ironically, HER mom died a millionaire and now the kids are busy squandering their inheritance. I got my mom to at least put it in a decent CD for a year. The craziest thing is she was the executor of my grandma's estate and she put over a $M into a single savings account with a 0.05% interest rate. SMH. She spent six months completely stressed out at having to deal with the family, all while she could have been collecting $3k/month in interest. Poor people. It's a mental illness.

I just got into the market yet I was urged to buy $1000 worth of bitcoin when it was still $.10 per, ensure who would not feel regret or some type of way about that but then I think about what would’ve happened if I would have invested that thousand dollars, there’s absolutely no way I would’ve held onto it until now it’s just a fact, oh that I mentioned that I struggled with addiction issues during that period of my life? yeah that would have been gone as soon as I made 2000 from the 1000 so I can’t really feel any regret because it’s a better feeling never have gotten in at the very beginning then it would have been knowing I could have been a billionaire but instead I made 1000 bucks SMH

Yes. A couple days ago I was kicking myself for my “bad attitude”. Given all the recent turmoil, I should be absolutely thrilled that we’re in spitting distance of the USD ATH. But I look at the charts and (despite the very-recent 30% rally from the recent dip) have had a “but what have you done for me *lately*?” kind-of feeling while we crab along in the low $100’s. I’m fully aware of how ridiculous I am. SMH.

This is a terrible "explanation". Bitcoin block background is fine, but a post that states it will explain "Unlimted (sic) OP\_RETURN", you manage to never state what either current on "unlimted" OP\_RETURN is.
