Solana Targeted marketing towards developers. Tons of hackathons, each more popular than the last. Toly/Raj/Meet always shouting out projects. I think eschewing EVM for Rust also helped, as people who built on Solana had to put more effort in, rather than just forking ETH protocols as cash grabs. BONK is a great example too, literally just a memecoin made by the community, widely distributed to almost every prominent Solana project(devs and holders), that goodwill led to protocols integrating it and people supporting l. Even though it launched, before memes were hot and well before pumpmfun existed, in the deepest depths of the bear market, it thrived and is now one of the most valuable memecoins in all of crypto and is much more than a memecoin now. Solana would not have bounced back as strongly as it did post-FTX without a large community.

anyone else notice the obvious attempt at price suppression by coinbase and the coinbase app, i have not seen one push notification in regards to XRP in this past 1.5 week 25% price increase, yet i have seen total useless shitcoins like "BONK" and other coins that have made microgains get push notifications in attempt to get retail to buy them. its no surprise considering coinbase has never been an ally to XRP and ripple, instead shills for other shitcoins. they were the first to delist xrp knowing damn well they weren't a security and the literal last to relist them.

Because there’s a real community behind this project with real people engaging with this post. I’ve been buying memecoins since 2017, and by now I’ve got a pretty good sense of what has potential and what doesn’t. Every fiber of my being is telling me this is the memecoin that’s going to define the next bull run. Here’s his answer below:** i've had a few high-profile losses as well: - Department of Government Efficiency: i was up over $10 million at peak and roundtripped it - MAGA: i was up over $5 million at peak and roundtripped it - GME/AMC/other Roaring Kitty meta coins: i was up over $5 million at peak and roundtripped it (i'm still holding all of these positions btw) all of these were public trades i called at the lows and that went to crazy valuations after i called them can these coins bounce back and go on a monster rally again at some point? sure! however, i have learned a few key lessons from these trades: 1. to mostly focus on trading timeless narratives instead of event-based narratives e.g. DOGEGOV was based on the Department of Government Efficiency narrative, which thrived on close collaboration between Trump and Elon and them pushing the D.O.G.E narrative. the fallout between both, and Elon pretty much leaving that circle, is a big hit to my thesis for this trade 2. MAGA was a political memecoin and lost steam leading to Trump's election win 3. GME/AMC/etc was based on Roaring Kitty pushing GME and memestocks and got impacted by him withdrawing from the public eye. i think these likely catch a bid again IF he does return to push GME, but no one knows when he will return again or how he will push, so not the best of trades by contrast, narratives like USELESS coin, $BONK, FARTCOIN, etc will always be timeless, so they would not have the same issues as the above

Makes sense. Really appreciate your thoughts. I agree this is clearly a memecoin-driven cycle, but I do think the market’s been somewhat starved of utility plays that actually ship. Personally, I’m keying in on utility projects that can scale through the power of memetic branding — projects that feel like a meme, but move like infrastructure. BONK is indeed a clear winning example of this and I think NYLA is also positioned similarly.

i think this is a memecoin cycle, and i expect memecoins to continue to dominate of course, this does not mean tech/utility plays are dead... i think many of them will catch bids during alt season however, we're more than halfway through the cycle and memecoins have consistently dominated. more importantly, memecoins continue to dominate in an atmosphere heavily driven by institutional bid and with a notable absence of active, mainstream retail participation if memecoins are leading in this environment, it is reasonable to expect that they will continue to lead for most of the cycle BONK and FLOKI are good examples of a way to leverage the power of memecoins to push utility i.e. start with a community focus first and then slowly introduce the utility

i believe three key things are the most important for taking any key trade: **1. narrative**: most trades oscillate around narratives, be it in crypto or outside of it... but especially crypto. this cycle, crypto has mostly oscillated around 3 main narratives if you remove BTC/ETH: memecoins, AI and RWA and within memecoins, there are meta narratives that you can trade: e.g. Elon Musk meta (Doge/Bonk/Floki/Shib/Ani), animal coins (Doge/Bonk/Pepe/Kori), financial/market nihilism (Fartcoin/Useless coin), coins in a particular ecosystem (Solana eco/Ethereum eco/BonkFun eco), AI memecoins, etc the market tends to favor some narratives at certain times, and your job is to find these narratives very early and key into them ideally, you want to choose a narrative that is timeless e.g. a trade i was very early to was the politifi narrative heading into the US elections, and while i had called a lot of these trades early and they ended up doing hundreds of Xs at peak, i realized they tend to lose steam when the political event plays out by contrast, DOGE/BONK/FLOKI which are animal coins will always be timeless. USELESS coin/FARTCOIN which are based on financial nihilism will always be timeless **2. community**: memecoins have no intrinsic value. they are basically tokenized attention, which means their value is based on the level of attention around them this is why community is one of the most important things for a memecoin ideally, you want to choose a memecoin that has a strong, cult-like community that continues to talk about it regardless of whether the price is up or down on any given day a coin with a good narrative and no community will not take off until a strong community forms around it **3. access and liquidity**: memecoins are heavily retail-driven, which is why ease of access and liquidity is critical to their success i.e. retail does not want to go through hoops to buy, so you want to make sure buying it is as easy as them clicking a few buttons on apps/platforms they already use this is why it is important to go with coins that have strong liqudity and availability on good CEXs or that are likely to get listed on good CEXs (if you want to be early) if you trade on DEXs, of course it helps if a coin has a sizable liquidity pool... but my definition of 'liquidity' goes far more than that **'volume' is a more accurate representation of liquidity if you can ensure that the volume is organic and not wash volume for a few reasons:** \- it shows that there is strong enough demand to absorb sell pressure which helps hold the price \- it is a key signal CEXs look at to decide what to list, so it improves the odds of a memecoin being listed which then raises its ceiling this is why it is a good sign if a memecoin continues to do a lot of consistent volume in its very early stages of course there are more factors at play, but i've been trading memecoins across multiple cycles now and believe the above to be the most important ones

it can be a bit hard to give an exact time-frame for when BONK will hit ATHs or go to $10 billion+ market cap, but if i was forced to absolutely commit to a time-frame publicly then here is how i expect things to play out: \- BONK hits a new ATH this quarter (Q3 2025) \- BONK hits $10 billion market cap by Q4 2025 \- BONK goes really ballistic and trades in the tens of billions of market cap by Q4 2025 or sometime in 2026 this is based on a combination of factors, with the most important one being the expected macro situation at the time i think there should be a number of macro catalysts that will stimulate the economy and encourage people going aggressively risk on by late 2025/some time in 2026: \- rate cuts should have started \- moves will start being made ahead of the mid-terms \- favorable seasonality for the crypto markets a combination of these should unlock more capital for crypto markets, both from institutions and retail, but even more so for 'riskier' bets like altcoins and memecoins. i think BONK is uniquely positioned to capture a lion's share of the flows for memecoins i should also add that when i opened my BONK long position 2 years ago, a key part of the thesis i outlined specifically stated that i expect the main move to come in by late 2025 or sometime in 2026... and so far so good!

BONK guy has said his target is, "billions and billions". He hasn't said specifically how many billions but maybe you can get him to reply. Been following BONK guy since before USELESS was even a token, and then aped in right after he did in May. I used Google Gemini to do a deep dive and try to answer your question. As a holder I'd like to know where it can go too. According to Gemini, if you compare USELESS to other blue chip meme coins such as SHIB, PEPE, FARTCOIN, WIF, etc.. the target is somewhere between $2B - $5B market cap by the end of the cycle....with full blown mania MAYBE $10B. If you just look at Solana meme coins only WIF and Fartcoin are good benchmarks. The catalysts that will determine the actual market cap are not only tier1 CEX listings on Binance (in the works currently) and Coinbase. But the BONK ETF will figure in. We don't know the date a BONK ETF will be approved, but when it does it'll bring a lot of new liquidity into the BONK ecosystem. Investors will be looking for the 'best' BONK plays and USELESS is #1. Ofc there's no guarantee because the coin is called USELESS. It's not supposed to do anything, and the more it does something the funnier the joke is.

Snakewifhat, hege, happy… dyor research mate, those are token, we are talking about a L1 pow without premine, there are no token that are magically minted.. every coin of the supply was mined! There is no rugpull in projects like this, but the downside is that it takes longer for pow coins to get attention because everything is organically. The devs have nothing but community, its also what makes a project like pep so unique! Just do yourself a favour and dyor about crypto in general. Even BONK, PEPE and SHIBU are not in the category of layer one blockchains and I would be cautious there. GL mate!
