It can be hard to tell what is what until you've seen someone tweet enough. Understanding each account's bias will help gauge the importance. Like if someone like Nic Carter, who is sort of a BTC maxi, starts talking positively about projects outside of BTC, or either of the Bankless guys start talking about something outside of ETH, that's a huge sign of confidence. (sometimes is a sign of a paid shill, but that's where the vetting comes in) 2. Curate your following aggressively, unfollow and block/mute people that you find to be overly toxic, immoral, biased, or hypocritical. Try not to block people just because they are contrarian, assuming they have valid points, otherwise it can turn into an echo chamber. I followed a lot of BTC people even though I wasn't a BTC holder when I started using Twitter for crypto. The BTC old guard was so pompous and annoying I had to stop following them, there was just no point in anything they had to say, it was all just "BTC good, everything else bad". I eventually became more bullish on BTC, but that was in spite of them. 3. Try to follow a variety of accounts. Don't just follow traders, but also follow devs, founders, community managers, VC's, policy experts, security experts, farmers, even some thought leaders/KOL's/influencers are worth following. Focusing mostly on a single chain, in my case it was Solana, can make this much easier. I follow ETH pretty closely as well, but it's a bigger ecosystem and fragmented by L2's, so it's harder to keep up with everything. Solana was growing rapidly but it was still easy enough to get a pulse on everything happening. This also helped me catch a ton of airdrops. 4. Once everybody is talking about something, that is probably the local top... but if the market cap is very low it probably makes a resurgence if it's not a scam or total shitcoin. >Also would you say the money you’ve made in crypto in the last 12 months is comparable to what you make in your day job? Do you rely on crypto income for any core financial responsibilities? Without divulging too much info I'd say it's comparable. I'm not quitting my day job but it's a decent amount. I don't rely on crypto at all, I very rarely buy more and very rarely cash out (when I take profits I usually just rotate to a major).

Braa, it takes 4-5 years to recover when you go down. Things can go as bad as you losing 90% or more of the value of your portfolio. Haha, anyone that can stand that can become anything in life. I think that SOL is the next best thing, and regardless of price, anyone who missed BTC and ETH in 2016/2017 can accumulate a lot of SOL tokens rn. Moreover, the SOL ETF could turn things around when approved. Even performing better than when we had the ETH ETF approval. And what's more, the development on SOL is insane, leaving out the memecoins ofc. Solana memes have taken up 9.6% of the market share, with notable ones like WIF, BONK, SLERF, etc. And when it comes to DeFi projects on Solana equally, we have a truckload of defi/dexes, lending, yield farming, liquid stating/restaking, derivatives, etc. LIDO, StarFI, Marinade, Jito, Jpool, Picasso, etc come to mind. And you know why people will prefer Solana to Ethereum? Yeah, the fees. Cheaper fees, and faster transaction speed. Even more yields, why will I get 4% on ETH when I can easily do 20% on Solana, Picasso, most preferably, and more?

Well, I'm not worried, I'm just frustrated. Most of what I have from 2021 is down majorly still despite DCAing for the past 3 years. Only stuff I have that is somewhat ok is ETH and some new gen memes like BONK. Gets disheartening to hear that we just need to hodl and DCA until the bull, but nothing has recovered enough. I'm holding out hope for 2025 but no matter how down or up my portfolio is, I'm gone by end of March.

It's not different this time. Memes listed on tier1 exchanges will attract billions in $ volume like they did last cycle, and they will crush last cycle's records. Even a 20x for BONK is more than doable. That wouldn't even surpass shib from last cycle. And there's going to be more money involved this time.

“No memes”.  Solid fundamentals have nothing to do with “price go up”. Look at all the solid fundamental projects that are making new lows while certain memes were pushing ATHs. If you’re here to make money, you study pumpamentals - not fundamentals. I nailed doge for a 10x in early 2021, and also SHIB later in October for a 10x. And I have the receipts to prove it. Easiest 10x from here (if BTC goes higher) is BONK. It already has everything it needs to reach a 20B+ marketcap.

Well that's why I told him to get exposure to blue chip meme coin. Imo WIF / BONK / PEPE has more upward potential than ADA or XRP which have underperformed against basically everything over the last year's. IMO, the crypto meta is : - accumulate BTC/ETH/SOL during bear - Start building an alt/meme coin bag when there's signs of market recovery - Dump your alts for stable when you reach your profit target at some point during the bullrun (important to set a profit goal) - Rince and repeat

2B BONK would only be ~$70,000 at today's price and I took profit on most of it, sold about 90% for SOL when SOL was at $15(like a week after BONK launched, early Jan), so I missed more BONK gains but got another 10x anyways. I never fully liquidate a memecoin that I like even when taking massive profits, and this is a good example of why.

Yeah will be interesting to see. I personally don't have any of the shit coins. I have some BTC and ETH from mid 2022 which has grown but I have never added to or sold, and some SOL which is much smaller but bought more recently. I am planning to offload some, maybe 30-50% depending on factors during this bull run and then buy back into the market when it dips. Hard to do right so trying to learn as much as I can. I have some guide numbers in mind already and some exit strategy models which I have come up with already, but I think I will be very active for the next 6-12 months to identify any changes and adjust all my expectations as we go. So I guess from this you're saying that if PEPE and BONK are still surging that we probably have not reached our peak in BTC and ETH yet, but that once they crash we may still go up but the crash also could be coming.

Not a shabby idea. I think BTC has another high coming, I just don't know if it will be late this year or early next. I'm up pretty good on BONK, my main shit coin gamble this year and am debating on selling it and throwing it into SOL. The ROI on SOL this cycle appears to have more opportunity than ETH. I think I can 3x SOL but only 2x ETH.

I don't give a fuck about Elon talking about DOGE on SNL when it's at it's ATH, I care about a coin getting widespread attention before that, and I don't see that happening with BONK or WIF, but I could with PEPE. I've been a long time holder of all 3 of them (as much as you can with memecoins), so it's not like I have anything against WIF or BONK, just doesn't seem likely.
