Normies do follow politics in general & last week happened to be about crypto, legitimizing it. A random story about some PENGU millionaire will not bring more attention to crypto than this last few days. Might be wrong but that's my take.
One lesson you will learn is to be cautious towards buying crypto assets issued by a company. A lot of us who have seen enough during the NFT era learned valuable lessons on why. These companies are heavily influenced by VCs who are incentivized to dilute your positions. When you buy a meme issued by a company, you are basically betting on the company’s brand. A lot of these can go wrong and they often do. In the case of PENGU, it is issued by the Igloo Inc company. Dilution: Igloo Inc has another project called Abstract Chain and they will issue another token called, $ABS. The token will be marketed as the “utility” token for the Pudgy Penguin brand. If you buy into PENGU now, you face the risk the attention to bet on the Pudgy brand shifts to the $Abs token. It is easier to see why because ppl will see $Abs as both a bet on the brand and partnership growth on the Abstact chain, while PENGU is just the brand. Throughout crypto history, when you have a team issuing two different tokens, the “weaker” one will always suffer a horrible fate. I recommend you to do your own research and look at pair examples like Wen/Jupiter and Mobile/HNT. Outside dilution, the other major threat/risk is the company reprioritize away from crypto to serve their shareholders interest. Most of the time, this is the case. A lot of old NFT projects have gone down that route when they find it is easier to make money elsewhere. Take a look at memeland and the memecoin as a big example.
I’m seeing Pudgy Penguin everywhere. Their marketing team is doing one hell of a job and to me, memes are all about building enough hype to get a big enough community behind it. At a $2B market cap, I don’t see $PENGU being the next 100x memecoin, but there’s still room for upside - esp if it needs up becoming the next shib or doge. I’m personally in PENGU and TOSHI (no particular reason besides a super low market cap that I’m treating as a lottery ticket).

I previously had more ADA than XRP but about a week ago I noticed more positive movement with XRP so luckily I caught it fast and copped a couple G’s of XRP to hopefully offset my losses on ADA. I’m also extremely balls deep in $PENGU.

The ETF money has a much harder time to roll over into alts. It is in TradFi wrapping because that's the comfort zone of these people. There are not nearly as many alt ETFs as there are alts in the market. Similarly, I just don't think governments & institutions are going to shift there investments much. They are not as flaky as retail. And how would they explain to their constituents that PENGU or god knows what is the best move? My take: If there is an alt season it will be confined to very few coins that will actually generate lasting gains & a few "runalongs" that pump but eventually dump hard again. No broad alt season like last cycle.

get in early on the meme coins that are drunken low. for me, i've gone all out on the crappiest coinbase coins such as SPELL and PENGU. easy 10x - 20x because every pump, we always see these coins go sky rocket. i also load heavy on Aero at 50 cents and sell at $2. 4x play for me, and then i rotate the profits in btc. i love this market, buying low and selling high, dreamer's casino.
We also had another huge one in PENGU, along with KAITO, IP, BERA, and many others. Not to mention the best time to farm airdrops is when people think it's not worth it.
I feel like the best fit for all of that is Solana. It was really the only chain that ever flipped Ethereum when it came to NFT volume and considering most of Ethereum's volume comes from expensive bluechips like Punks, BAYC, PP, etc, I'd think Solana would be easier for a new artist to break into. It has a solid community of artists and collectors and [Drip.Haus](https://drip.haus/) is an awesome app for distribution/collection. Solana is also the primary hub for shitcoin trading, while I would only recommend buying established memecoins. "Established" meaning they've been around for a while at least, like BONK, FARTCOIN, PENGU, nothing under $1m market cap unless you like lighting money on fire. One NFT project that you might want to check out to look at ways of "gamifying" your art, is Famous Fox Friends, it's a project I've always liked on Solana and it started as the classic and sort of generic "collection of 10,000 profile pics with different attributes" but the art is nice, cartoony like Pudgy Penguins, but what sets them apart is how much tooling they've developed for Solana, as well as adding in ways to upgrade them and send them on missions and stuff. And to be clear, I'm not saying to buy one of these, nor am I saying to try and flip any NFT, the market seems to have dried up for speculative gains, but art should always have some sort of market, albeit a much smaller one, provided it's up to a certain level of quality. I do not understand how people believe that Pepe, Shib and Doge will do anything. There are simply way too many coins in rotation. I don't hold it but Brett seems to be a popular one. The only meme-ish coin I hold is PENGU which has been a stellar investment so far.

Everyone is buying Solana meme coins. Fartcoin, PENGU and Unicorn Fart Dust. Everything is up 30-40% over the past few days. Fartcoin is over $1b mcap. Even if 10% know how to buy these, that’s 100k X $1400 = $140m going into crypto. Half going into the top meme coins is $70m. That can be a significant pump to a number of tokens in the short run.

The PENGU sort of have a meme vibe to it. But we have seen memes like SHIB & DOGE live long enough anyway. So maybe it's not as crazy as I think it to be. I like to think PENGU launching on solana is a testament to the fact that the tech that can offer the best UX is more likely to make mass adoption happen. Solana may be leading this charge now, but it won't be the only one. See how Base have done for itself too. If you're keeping tabs on newer tech, you would have have noticed how PWR Chain too sort to improve onchain UX. UX can never not be a dicussion onchain. Or what else could have explained PENGU's reason for moving to Solana?
they probably mentioned something they did on that wallet that unknowingly qualified them for the ARB airdrop and someone probably realized that and told them to check. Same thing is happening right now with people not realizing they qualified for the $PENGU airdrop.
Do not get into PENGU. Or do but it's down so much that any upside will be sold by bag holders. This would be a long play if you do decide to get into it.

Haven't owned any, but they were part of eligibility criteria for getting $PENGU airdrop, so presumeably people are discarding them after having finished claiming their airdrop for owning one.
Binance listed $PENGU 3,5h ago. Immediately while listed Binance stated its Mcap was 220M. Now after losing ~40% the Mcap sits at 2.2 Billions. Now, I do not care that i lost few bucks on a shitcoin, but the false Mcap pisses me off. The low Mcap on a shitcoin was the very reason I put some pocket change on it. I feel betrayed by Binance which is way more infuriating. Can not trust anything these days.
