Bitcoin Is Expensive and Static - Processes ~290,000 transactions per month - Charges ~$17 per transaction- some argue $5 but it's semantics. - Bitcoin finalizes in ~60 minutes, requiring six confirmations to be considered immutable and that is extremely slow. - That’s over $5 million in monthly fees which is a very expensive input cost for institutions = high cost for inefficiency. - Offers no staking, no smart contracts, and no yield Bitcoin is secure, ideological, but economically inert. overal markets are going hot, too hot even... it needs some cool down and then afterwards institutional investors will start looking again at (SPOT) ETFs in general (not just XRP , but all of them), the new thing is that this time XRP and SOLANA will be more popular because they will have bigger exposure then ever before.

It is a good time to keep an eye on other alt coins instead which have more room to grow, I would say look at the top 5 and when we have a red day dollar cost average in. $SOLANA is my top coin this cycle others include ONDO, LINK, ENA, HYPE
When do you suggest this happENS? I’m still new to crypto but have a good understanding what do mean by 48-50% in simple terms. I have a bit invested into BTC,XRP, PENGU, Ethereum and I will be investing into SOLANA, HBAR,AVAX and chain link maybe even PEPE. What do you think? How long should I hold or when should I sell?
I can suggest a few more you could take a look at. XRP, HBAR, STELLAR LUMENS, CORDANO, SOLANA, CHAINLINK and then you have the 2 big ones ETH and BITCOIN... take a look at the BITCOIN lifetime chart.. it's really impressive especially this last bull run, it's doubled in price. Prediction of a million dollars in the next 10 years... looks possible according to that chart. If my pockets were that deep I'd be all in on Bitcoin... but on my tiny income I have to go small real small. My Fav is XRP right now. There's a lot of activity and plans being made for that little coin. You might want to throw a few dollars at that. Black Rock is going to be involved with that token some how. Not sure yet, maybe an ETF. There's at least a dozen ETFs planned for XRP so far. Many have already filed their paper work with the SEC. That list is available on line.

I profited off MATIC and some others in 2024 and sold in December ‘24 and January ‘25. Unfortunately decided to reinvest in stuff (including MATIC again) in February and I’ve been down the last 6 months. Still down. holdings are: MATIC, SOLANA, HBAR, DOGE (for memes) My HBAR is down literally only $160 right now so I have a feeling I’ll have a break even opportunity soon. I’m optimistic about SOLANA going back to $300 one day but MATIC I’m not sure. Losing confidence by the day in that one even tho I was extremely so, long ago.

I get the reasoning behind the suggestions, but it’s important to keep in mind that XRP’s centralization with Ripple is still a huge risk. Many of the other coins you mentioned, like ETH and SOLANA, at least have some level of decentralization and utility. If you want something that’s truly decentralized with a focus on real-world applications, IOTA is a much safer long-term choice. It’s not just about price spikes it’s about building something sustainable.

Eth must be the most undervalued asset atm. Its utility is huge and growing, layer 2s add utility, significant number of active developers, upgrades happening seamlessly…if there is an ‘Eth killer’, it won’t be before 2030. Literally this. I hold BTC, ETH, BNB, XRP, SOLANA, and in that same order from largest to smallest allocation. Even then, sometimes I feel like I should just go BTC early. Regarding stocks, I also hold MSTR (BTC) & CYFRF (SOL). Every 20-25 year old acts like they are pro crypto traders and their 200% gains, are like $1.20.
I dumped 90% of mine and cut some losses to get SOLANA and XRP. Which, as of now, isn’t doing any better. But it seems more promising going forward than ETH.
Market is just getting smarter / more sophisticated. 2017 the strategy was, literally buy anything. Any project whatsoever. ICO that has nothing but a landing page? Max buy. Copy paste BTC coin that has 20 transactions per day on its blockchain? Hundreds of millions in market cap. By the end of this bull run you had hundreds of new coins launching daily. 2021 was a little more substance. We had layer 2 chains, defi, dex, etc. The projects actually did "something", but not necessarily anything actually long term useful. That being said, some legendary apps came out of this period (AAVE, UNISWAP, SOLANA). But the market got flooded with apps which basically lost money to attract TVL, and when the incentives dried up people just moved to the next one. 2024 run was focused on airdrops / infra. Dozens of Layer 2's, apps for \[new chain\], TVL migrated to anything with promising airdrop incentives. Slightly different model from 2021 where you were rewarded directly for participating. Now you are rewarded implicitly but with the potential for a big windfall from a monster airdrop. This worked because new coins were still being given huge valuations. Mostly characterized by high FDV low circ tokenomics. This led to initially sky high prices but that were completely unsustainable. Now in 2025, the market is savvy to all new coin launches. We've seen the same ponzi multiple times where new projects get billion dollar valuations despite the fact that they have no real business model or revenue stream. The revenue stream is literally selling the token. Market is currently wise to this, and has stopped giving 10 digit valuations to "promising infrastructure". The projects now need to show real utility + revenue to get high valuations. For the time being, the market has stopped falling for the "Shiny New Coin" ponzi. There is growth but it is increasingly concentrated. Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, and applications which are actually good business models. A lot of people may be invested in crypto projects that aren't seeing much upside. So they're wondering wtf is going on. Why isn't the bull run hitting them? Well it's because the market has evolved and smartened. The get-rich-quick scheme of launching an infra coin that doesn't actually generate any revenue is currently dying. As it should.
