tldr; ARK Invest and 21Shares have filed with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) for a spot ether ETF, according to a filing dated September 6. The proposed ETF, named the ARK 21Shares Ethereum ETF, would offer direct exposure to ether and trade on the Cboe BZX Exchange using the CME CF Ether-Dollar Reference Rate – New York Variant. The ETF will not invest in derivatives and is designed to provide investors with a cost-effective and convenient way to invest in ether. The ETF still requires formal approval from the SEC. *This summary is auto generated by a bot and not meant to replace reading the original article. As always, DYOR. tldr; CME Group is launching Bitcoin (BTC) and Ether (ETH) reference rates for the Asia Pacific region in partnership with CF Benchmarks. The reference rates will track BTC and ETH and will be published daily at 4 pm Hong Kong time. This move reflects the growing institutional interest in cryptocurrencies from Asia. The new reference rates will allow market participants to hedge cryptocurrency price risk more accurately and precisely during the Asia trading day. The demand for accurate BTC and ETH prices during the Asia trading day is increasing among institutions. CME Group also has reference rates for other tokens like AXS, CHZ, and MANA. The launch of these reference rates indicates the demand for crypto-friendly jurisdictions like Hong Kong and Singapore. *This summary is auto generated by a bot and not meant to replace reading the original article. tldr; Asset management firm Valkyrie has filed for an Ether futures exchange-traded fund (ETF) called "Valkyrie Ethereum Strategy ETF" with the SEC. The proposed ETF will invest in a portfolio of Ether futures contracts traded on commodity exchanges, primarily focusing on contracts traded on the CME. The value of these contracts will be determined by the CME CF Ether Reference Rate. The ETF will also invest in cash, cash-like instruments, and high-quality securities as collateral investments. The filing aligns with the SEC's requirements, raising optimism for a positive decision. The options market continues to provide support for BTC and ETH, ensuring stability amid liquidity challenges. Blofin's analysis highlights the positive gamma effect and market makers' hedging actions as factors contributing to the stability of both cryptocurrencies. *This summary is auto generated by a bot and not meant to replace reading the original article. People who run around spewing nonsense proclamations that financial strategies are impossible without even bothering to think deeply about the subject deserve to be poor. Do not say something is impossible if you are too lazy to look to see if it is, especially since several people are doing it. It is possible to do this indefinitely without ever paying taxes. You need the asset to go up indefinitely, of course. You correctly point out the risk of getting whipsawed, but your peasant brain stops there. A better man would find a solution to overcome this problem. I will tell you one way. You can use real estate to get non-mark to market credit that make this liquidity and volatility problem very manageable. 1031 exch won't help with liquidity directly. You can sell but the proceeds need to be rolled into a like-kind investment (more real estate) then you do not have a taxable event. You can then draw out equity from the new property. It is not east, but possible. Michael saylor found another strategy but not all of us own a large public company My advice is stop saying things are impossible before you investigate And don't borrow more than 10% and make sure your CF can cover the debt service

I posted a comment below but figured I'd quote more bits from BlackRock's SEC filing: "The Trust does not hold or trade in commodity futures contracts or any other instruments regulated by the Commodity Exchange Act as administered by the CFTC." "The CF Benchmarks Index is solely calculated from spot Bitcoin-USD transactions conducted on Constituent Exchanges within the observation window of 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. ET, it does not include any futures prices in its methodology." They'll use the following exchanges (as listed in the filing): "Coinbase, Bitstamp, iBit, Kraken, Gemini, and LMAX Digital" "An investment in Shares is: Backed by bitcoin held by the Bitcoin Custodian on behalf of the Trust." By no means an expert myself. Just a regular Joe that googled and found the document and looked through it trying to understand rather than spreading misinfo.

tldr; BlackRock's recently submitted Bitcoin ETF application differs from Grayscale's Bitcoin Trust in notable ways, including the ability to offer redemptions similar to an ETF and the ability to purchase bitcoin at the end of the trading day to align the fund's assets with its trading price. BlackRock has also unveiled its approach to pricing its spot Bitcoin fund, which will rely on the CF CME Bitcoin Reference Rate, and has selected Coinbase Custody as its custodian. With $9.1 trillion of assets under management, BlackRock's application carries substantial weight in the financial industry and is seen as having a high likelihood of approval. *This summary is auto generated by a bot and not meant to replace reading the original article. tldr; BlackRock's iShares has filed paperwork with the US Securities and Exchange Commission for the formation of a spot bitcoin ETF, to be named the iShares Bitcoin Trust. The fund's assets will consist primarily of bitcoin held by a custodian on behalf of the Trust, with Coinbase acting as the custodian. BlackRock is the world's largest asset manager with over $10tn in assets under management, and its CEO Larry Fink has political power to possibly match that of the SEC and its leader Gary Gensler. The proposed ETF is benchmarked against the CME CF Bitcoin Reference Rate. *This summary is auto generated by a bot and not meant to replace reading the original article. As always, DYOR.*

And you believe anything he says? He literally claimed he gave his ETH supply away. He got caught lying so many times, it's not even funny. He could hold also 10%-20% of all supply and you wouldn't know it. No transparency. EMURGO received 2 billions ADA and all what they did is a shitty wallet which doesn't even work anymore. Nobody asking question what happened with rest of the funds. CF? 600 millions ADA - their best partnership is some vineyard from Georgia. IOG? Over 2 billions ADA and all what they came up with is a 2015ish tech, moreover they want to fund most of basic functions through treasury (which is funded by fees coming from the community). Basic functions promised by Chack few years ago. Algorand has shitty tokenomics, true, but they are transparent. The whataboutism doesn't make ADA better. They are technologically also not on the same level, ADA is a speculative, hyped up coin which isn't able to onboard anything serious. It runs at 1-2tps. Considering the mediocre tech, even 5% going to funding entities was way too much. Less decentralised than HBAR with Chuck holding genesis keys through all the years.

Channel factories is part of a proposed upgrade called [eltoo](https://bitcoinops.org/en/topics/eltoo/) (there's also an [alternative CF design](https://lists.linuxfoundation.org/pipermail/bitcoin-dev/2021-September/019470.html) proposed by an anonymous developer). Combined with Taproot, it would allow an enormous number of participants to open a channel in a single transaction. >if layer 1 transactions are removed from the equation, how is the layer 1 useful? They're not removed and as much as people have lazily used language that gives the impression you're moving bitcoin to another network, this is not what happens with Lightning. You're just committing sats to bitcoin native multisig contracts. >You definitely still do in fact need a layer 1 transaction to get into lightning network initially Of course. What you can do with channel factories is open enormous multiparty channels and then establish and close new channels without further on-chain transactions. A 10-party channel factory transaction is 45 channels with 1 transaction which reduces onchain footprint by 91%. With Taproot, you can create multiparty channels with hundreds of participants.

>it’s possible to use Cardano DeFi in a non custodial way (no “batchers” etc) It depends on what protocol it is. Protocols that don't use liquidity pools don't need batchers (the Aada Finance lending protocol is a good example of this). Protocols that use liquidity pools do use batchers, and the ones that currently do is completely trusted way. There are DEXes on testnet that use decentralized batchers, as well as the concept of transaction chaining that removes the need for batchers. >Cardano dApps open source both Code and / or Security assumptions Agreed. There are only a couple of open source dApps on Cardano, with more on testnet. >CH and/ or CF does not undermine Community efforts to decentralize, use dishonest marketing & narratives Agreed, though I've seen some in the community call out the stuff Charles said (esp. about Contingent Staking), which is good. Even some devs have been critical of the design choices of IOG.

Naturally, all the comments on the Instagram post are people shitting on Bitcoin and spewing hate and saying they’ve lost respect for Martin. But I love it, what do you guys think? Martin was already my favorite guitar brand and now I love this company even more. Play guitar? Go buy a Martin!

I know no one here will want to hear this but: There's at least one crypto that has done basically this... They initially created three separate entities that each had a say in how the network would be designed/architected/etc* during their initial development phase, and now they're on the cusp of implementing full on-chain governance so that holders of said crypto can decide things like what changes will get made and how to spend the funds from the self-funding on-chain treasury, etc... Plot twist: It's Cardano. \* So, centralized but with a separation of powers... And, yes, I know there was some hubbub about how the Cardano Foundation recently gave their keys to IOG, so that IOG have fully been in the drivers seat for awhile now... But A) I'm still not entirely up-to-speed on what, exactly, happened, or whether that even happened at all, or if it was just a misunderstanding, etc, and B) I trust the CF had good reason to do it (again, if they did), and it clearly hasn't resulted in any major issues, and C) It's not going to matter soon anyway, because once Voltaire is done then ADA holders will be in charge...

Channel factories could provide an on-ramp for a larger number of people, although I have no idea how they will be coordinated to set up CFs based on immediate demand for new channels. But bear in mind that the vbyte size of a CF transaction fee increases with the number of addresses it includes, so it still has limitations. The issue I can’t see how it is solved is off-ramping to cold storage. Fees will adjust upward to match increasing demand with limited supply of block space. So if it costs (say) over $100 to move funds to a cold wallet, a lot of people won’t do it. Is it expected that the vast majority of people will keep all their funds on a LN wallet only? Various aspects such as the need for LN wallets to go online to transact, the need for trusted watchtowers etc means that LN is inherently less secure than Bitcoin cold storage. So if the typical person or business effectively has the choice between LN only (with potential risks around security, liquidity etc) or using a custodial account that is basically free, and has all the consumer protections they are used to, I can pretty much guarantee the vast majority will use custodial accounts. Believe me, most people care about rising prices and would love an inflation-proof currency, but they don’t give a s**t about decentralisation and don’t want to be their own bank.

You might eventually change your mind over time, just like people who used to work with him or invested into his prior coins. I was in Cardano since 2017, never truly liked Charles, but the vision was good and I didn't want to invest based on sympathy. He was also somewhat acceptable till the last bull market, but then he started to enjoy his popularity too much, and showed some typical grifter behavior patterns he suppressed in the past. The reasons I left Cardano (for the most part): 1. Charles likes to misrepresent things, and has no problem to use lies. Be it his educational background he lied about on many occasions, talking miss-informative shit about other projects, or contradict himself. He shows also narcissistic/sociopath tendencies with running after every person who dares to criticize him, be it a valid critique or just trolling, while craving admiration. So far, Cardano also didn't improve life of anyone, the main result is Charles being a billionaire (he reminds us often about it) and a cult following. Moreover, the obvious world twisting, car salesman tactics, lies. Constant arguing with other communities and no allies in the space. A disgusting person overall, and also not a good blockchain designer, he never came up with something innovative. It is pretty clear at this point, that stories about his time as CEO of ETH were true. 2. ADA was never a "slow, methodical approach". The reason the progress has been so slow, it was never supposed to be a smart contract platform in the first place. See history of "ada coin" and the ICO in Japan as casino coin. They had nothing when they launched aside of a centralized coin and a wallet, and had to start the development quite slow. The entire "casino coin" ICO, and shilling of centralized ADA to Americans might also cause regulatory problems, a risk I prefer not to have. 3. The actual product? Cardano is approx 5-6 years old. It was 3 years long centralized, 4 years without smart contracts. It runs on average at 1 tps during a 50% network load, so the upside is quite limited. The network was also already frozen during SundaeSwap and barely usable for many days. Outages were misrepresented as "anomalies", be it the last outage with 60% nodes going down, or the outage during Byron era. 5 minutes finality isn't competitive against other modern blockchains, they are doing such things in seconds. Fees are also quite high above a cent range, and would be above 1$ if ADA had a high market cap. Delegated PoS is causing many issues, see the current CS debate. They can't onboard certain things due to limited expressiveness. To be fair, they are trying to change those things now, but it also shows the blockchain isn't well designed for potential use cases and needs a lot of remodeling, and wasn't built with regulations in mind. Another issue, Charles/IOG/CF are holding majority of genesis keys, and are huge centralization factor if they wanted to. You have to trust them... Overall, It isn't the worst blockchain in the industry, but years away to be a fit for purpose blockchain, and entirely lacks innovation. I agree, not everything was bad, his speech in front of government was good. The values he preaches are also great. However, the problem is living up to those values, and this is the point where Charles fails miserably, and reduces everything he says to pure marketing. He cares about ADA just as little as about his former 3-4 "world changing" coins. Fact is, Cardano doesn't solve currently any real issues, is always 2-3 updates away from being revolutionary, and community is relying on promises. Meanwhile, Charles is getting richer each epoch, collecting about 30% rewards more than average ADA holder, and this is on top on ADA he dumped last bull run. Another fun fact - he is already working on another coin...

I wouldn't exactly say that Cardano is decentralized though. The multisig keys belong to the founders of the project (Emurgo, CF, IOG), and these keys can change parameters (fees, block size, pool cost, etc). Presumably these keys will be handed to the community after Voltaire, but until then, Cardano is at the hands of its founding entities.

1) There are different dimensions of decentralization. I'm meant decentralization in block production. It's the best out there with MAV = 20. 2) True, keys are in the hand of IOG + CF (basically IOG only). So that's a problem & it needs to be addressed. It will be addressed with the creation of MBO as the first step. Also on this point, if you track Cardano closely, you will recall that latest Vasil upgrade included more CIPs from the community then IOG. Don't think many blockchains achieved this level of decentralization in dev. Similarly, you will recall that lots of SPOs opposed node upgrade to Vasil's version when Charles said to upgrade. And the upgrade was effectively postponed. Another dimension of decentralization. 3) "Due to certain design choices they will have issues to roll out on chain governance." - Pls tell me more.

Cardano's BFT keys have nothing to do with its consensus mechanism. The BFT keys control the most critical parameters of the chain until they are relinquished and decentralization begins. That was supposed to have happened a long time ago, but IOHK is many years behind schedule and has not delivered their contract obligations for 2020. Search the Cardano forum for more information about the BFT genesis keys if you are ignorant about any of this (rather than just pretending to be). https://forum.cardano.org/t/lets-have-a-discussion-about-the-governance-bft-keys/103886 >none of them have unilateral control False. It was disclosed in an IOHK video last year that IOHK was in possession of CF's keys, giving IOG 5 of 7 and unilateral controls the multisig and governance during the pre-decentralized governance era bootstrapping. According to IOG, they can overwrite both CF and Emurgo. https://m.youtube.com/watch?t=171&v=yG0lifQOaFk&feature=youtu.be No announcement was ever made when this happened, and like most Cardano protocol decisions no explanation has ever been publicly made for when and why the multisig was circumvented by IOG. Despite this fact, all of the public Cardano documentation has continuously claimed that governance is split between 3 separate key holders, and this false claim was made by many people unknowingly, because nobody at the three organizations ever bothered to correct anyone who said it, and only disclosed it when directly asked. Nobody has proven that the three party multisig was resurrected, and at this point, any claim that it has been needs to be proven, not trusted. >cardano has around 2000 nodes creating blocks, about a thousand create blocks every epoch (5 days) The vast majority of Cardano's write zero are almost zero blocks. Add up their MPO stake. 51% is controlled by 20 or so pools. That's less decentralized than polkadot, avalanche, and many other chains, even though every other L1 chain has higher validator requirements and performance than Cardano. Something is badly broken with Cardano's low requirements and simultaneously low decentralization. Check a block explorer for yourself. >at best you are misinformed, more likely you are just a dishonest person talking shit I brought receipts, and every claim I made can be proven. You're the shit talker shilling your bags that has no idea what you're repeating.

The blockchain is a giant, impenetrable, holy fortress in the clouds with a keypad on the gate. The code to enter this gate is long and difficult, so it's not something anyone can remember. It looks something like this: F6926358FC6088A073CF6651016AFF6AA580709F8CC111898842EF7905199DE7 This fortress is magic, and it will teleport anyone who types in a valid code to the code's corresponding own little parallel universe where the Bitcoin is safely protected by the magic of the fortress, only to be released when someone worthy (knows the code) opens the door. Your hardware "wallet" is like a magical little pet that will automatically remember and type in the code above for you, and only you, in order to make getting in the fortress more convenient, because it loves you and wants to help you. To make sure it's really you, it wants you to type in a short (usually six digits) pin code just like your ATM card. But wait - it gets better. Your magical pet is immortal, because it can be cloned or "rebirthed" by anyone who speaks the magical 24-word incantation. Don't teach this spell to anyone else! though! or they'll be able to clone your pet and rebirth a new one which will allow them to set a new pin code, and then it will allow them in to your fortress parallel universe, and take your bitcoin.

You prefer to read my post history and to go with some ad hominem attacks, instead of discussing the actual topic here? Interesting. Well, the thing is, most of the funds were spent well, but in the few instances they got criticized for their screw ups, because the community isn't brainwashed and there is high degree of transparency, without word twisting. You think Cardano spends its funds better? They have CF and Emurgo which do literally nothing for five years, not a single bank partnership, no functional official mobile wallet for years, their Haskell course is an overpriced joke. And they get paid months by months, no transparency. The brainwashed cultist community just won't dare to criticize them, because rising your voice in Cardano community means usually Chuck and his minions coming after you, as they did with the guy who exposed the critical bug in August. And as for hiring of top marketing people. Might seem excessive for you, but they have actual award winning PhD's doing the actual science ,and no time for marketing. This isn't Cardano where the founder lies repeatedly about being a master degree mathematician "who started his PhD", while factually having an AS degree, and doing mainly guerilla marketing, without working on the actual project. I wish Cardano best, but personally I prefer to avoid projects with a sketchy ICO in Japan as casino coin, with initial centralised phase of 3 years where the founder is shilling and marketing it non stop. Textbook definition of a security.

Perpetual futures are like an insurance policy in a way. You better believe we are gambling, and that's true of anyone who owns any thing today. Perpetual futures with margin can enable someone with a large investment in cryptocurrency to hedge against the failure of its price, without holding all of the potentially very valuable cryptos on the exchange. It's very addictive, and it's not hard to automate well. Yield farming simulator would probably sell at least as well as power washer simulator. If trading is gambling, then leveraged margin trading is probably super gambling. But just because a knife cuts, doesn't mean it can't be used responsibly. You hit it on the nose though, if I could get this experience without a CEX then I'd probably never come back down. Deliverable perps is an amazing feature. When you own something with a volatile price, you should be able to participate in the price action without staking everything all at once. That's how I use CF. If the price goes up and your shorts are at risk, well you can just bring your crypto to the table at that point, and cash some out! Unless you did the irresponsible, shorting cryptos you didn't own. Ofc The market permits that just as well as it permits people to do the other thing. The other thing being >! duh gambling !< how one might get liquidated. It's a continuum though. Performing spot delivery when the market moves against your perp position is a legit strategy to take profits, and specific performance is basically the opposite of gambling. I really wish that it was possible to have this experience at a DEX but I think it's a long time coming. I don't trust anything that requires a bridge from one chain to another. It's already a large enough gamble to participate in holding and owning cryptos, I'm not here to YOLO my savings into the gutter, my purpose is to learn how to grow my holdings in a bear market. I guess it just made more sense than Uniswap; as I learned more, I actually found the CF docs led me to try Uniswap and learn how to use it. I thought that was pretty cool as well.

I've showed receipts, you've showed nothing. I looked and found no evidence for that claim. Which makes sense, because sharing keys in a 2 of 3 makes the whole multisig useless and it's unlikely they planned on that to happen way back then. If they really did do that, there are a lot of people that would like Charles to tell them that. Trust me bro doesn't fly here. Also, you still have the problem that a lot of damage could be done before a delegate key was revoked, if the one company with access to them had their security compromised. The chain could be shut down with those keys, and even revoking a temporary key could be blocked. >There is no secret around these keys or how the upgrade process works currently. Everything about CF "delegating" their keys to iog was a secret. Nobody knew about this until that video where someone asked the right person the right question and they decided to make it public. We still don't even know why it was done.

So true. I don’t understand why the CF seems to be so incompetent so frequently. Massive amounts of turnover happen within it as well. It’s honestly the biggest red flag I have with all the Cardano ecosystem. Some will say Charles is a red flag, but I just accept that he’s a bit of a salesman and move on. People like Steve Jobs, Musk, they’re all like that. They kinda suck as people but they are world changers. I think CH is doing a great job. Wrong. Genesis delegates vote on-chain on protocol upgrades, with a threshold of 5/7. Genesis delegate keys are generated from the genesis keys and can be re-generated. There is no evidence the CF have shared the actual genesis keys with IOG, but we know that the CF have shared the delegate keys with IOG. Nothing in your link refutes this. If you want to know how this works, read the docs on Github. It needs to be decentralised, and it will be as part of Voltaire. There is no secret around these keys or how the upgrade process works currently.

Well, don't mind if I do... >Cardano developed Ouroboros Classic as its first PoS consensus mechanism and split the functions of computation and settlement into separate layers. This is false. Charles said they were going to create a separate computational layer, but that never happened. There is no CCL. Like IELE and KEVM, evidently they couldn't figure out how to do it. Cardano does not have a computational layer, everything happens on the consensus layer. Every smart contract developer must do their own computations and then build their own off-chain consensus mechanism if they want any claim to having a decentralized smart contract. None of them have done this yet. This is why Cardano doesn't have any dapps that do computations yet. All they have is centralized apps or very simple decentralized txs so far. >Cardano takes a calculated approach to development, putting functionalities through rigorous academic peer review before production What protocol isn't based on peer reviewed research? And where's the research on their fee model? It's notoriously criticized for being a fake solution that uses price fixing to temporarily band aid the problem they have with low throughput. >All functionalities and protocols are peer-reviewed before being implemented, which in some cases delays the path to production. For example, smart contracts were not enabled until the Alonzo hard fork in September of 2021 — a full four years after the network launched. This is false. Plutus v1 was never peer reviewed. We didn't even see the testnet until a month before it hit mainnet. It was tested privately. And IOG told us that a Uniswap fork worked "perfectly" on the private testnet and included a step by step guide to forking Uniswap (that minswap followed) in the plutus pioneer program without any mention of concurrency. >Cardano is supported by three entities On paper. IOG is the only entity that does anything for Cardano. IOG is a private for-profit company owned by Charles Hoskinson. And the chain is controlled by a trusted multisig that Charles has the 5 of 7 keys necessary to overwrite CF and Emurgo if they disagree with him. >Cardano does not require slashing thanks to the incentives in its reward-sharing scheme No chain requires slashing. It's an additional security measure that virtually all POS chains (including milkomeda) choose to add. Cardano would be more secure if it had slashing. >It’s important to note that eUTXO TPS is not directly equivalent to account-based TPS, as multiple assets and multiple recipients are often involved in a single eUTXO transaction Multiple tokens are rarely sent to multiple addresses in one tx. And virtually every blockchain can send a token to multiple addresses at the same time, as is a more common use case. It's all mostly irrelevant though, as the size of the tx is more important than the number of txs, and Cardano uses much larger tx sizes than other chains while simultaneously having significantly less block space. Cardano's tps is easily comparable to other chains, but that highlights the problem that Cardano is the slowest blockchain, often slower than BTC, and has extremely low throughput with ridiculously slow finality times. That's what happens when you design tech and spend 5 years trying to build it perfect and box yourself in a corner without releasing anything- it's already outdated by the time it launches. >now there are over 2,900 stake pool validators with 71% of all ADA delegated to them And about 2000 of them produce no blocks, while at most 15-25 entities produce 51% of blocks and can overwrite every other pool if they colluded to. Could be worse than that because cardano has saturation limits that let companies like Coinbase hide their 23 pools at no extra cost. AVAX, DOT, and Cosmos all have more decentralized block production than cardano. >Daedalus is an open-source wallet supported by IOG. Does it support smart contracts yet? Honest question. It didn't for a long time. Last I checked, all of the lite wallets needed for smart contracts were closed source. Decentralized, trustless smart contract txs are not possible on trusted closed source wallets or apps, and closed source code entirely defeats the purpose of smart contracts. >Cardano’s DeFi TVL was ~$78 million at the end of Q3 2022 No, Cardano's defi was basically zero. With the exception of Muesliswap's order book, there were no defi dapps on cardano, only closed source, trusted and centralized apps. Even then, pretty sure the wallets you needed to use Muesliswaps order book were closed source, and there was no way to use any trustless defi on cardano, due to all the unnecessary design mistakes IOG made. >IOG released the Cardano EVM Sidechain in alpha in June 2022, which allows Solidity developers to easily port applications into the Cardano ecosystem. False, in June they announced that they would release a testnet in the future. >Hydra is a class of L2s based on isomorphic state channels and optimistic settlement. It's debatable whether state channels are an L2. They are certainly a very limited, outdated scaling solution, that do nothing to solve Cardano's main problems right now. >Ethiopia’s education ministry is using Atala as a credential system for students. >Dish Network is using Atala for its identity and loyalty system Where are any of these txs on cardano? Can you link to any dish or atala txs on cardano?

Because there is no intrinsic value to Bitcoin, just hype and speculation. You can't do a discounted CF analysis on something without value. You can't measure abnormal earnings growth. There is no formula that can tell if a future cash flow is cheap or expensive, based on interest rates. Bitcoin has no value beyond sentiment. And sentiment is fickle and can change at any time

No, Charlie Lee created Litecoin by [reverse-engineering Bitcoin](https://twitter.com/satoshilite/status/1446159273633800192?s=46&t=M1z8gSmv7CF5hpV9q1E7ZA) and having it use scrypt instead of SHA-256.

In the immortal words of CF… “Let's think about this for a sec, Ted. Why would somebody put a guarantee on a box? Hmmm, very interesting. Here's the way I see it, Ted. Guy puts a fancy guarantee on a box 'cause he wants you to feel all warm and toasty Ya figure you put that little box under your pillow at night, the Guarantee Fairy might come by and leave a quarter, am I right, Ted? The point is, how do you know the fairy isn't a crazy glue sniffer? "Building model airplanes" says the little fairy; well, we're not buying it. He sneaks into your house once, that's all it takes. The next thing you know, there's money missing off the dresser, and your daughter's knocked up. I seen it a hundred times. Because they know all they sold ya was a guaranteed piece of shit. That's all it is, isn't it? Hey, if you want me to take a dump in a box and mark it guaranteed, I will. I got spare time. But for now, for your customer's sake, for your daughter's sake, ya might wanna think about buying a quality product from me”

Also whatever API it polls is almost certainly cloudflare fronted allowing CF and the USG to also see your addresses. Since practically every bitcoin site and close to 25% of all sites use some CF hosted content they probably also know your real name and address. This even applies if you use a VPN because guaranteed you messed up a few times and used the same browser/ cookies with and without the VPN.

Speaking of upper echelon, ironically UE and CF have two great videos about the FTX corruption: * [The Greatest Media Failure I Have Ever Seen - FTX](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b2bAca9cAP4) * [The FTX Disaster is Deeper Than you Think ](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=20BEJouWBgY)

The audited financial statement includes P&L, CF statement (which would show inflows and outflows) and Balance sheet. Doesn’t do much good when the numbers behind are made up internet money (FTT)

> but I would like another opinion about ways to invest in Web3.0 and blockchain The easiest way for me would be through Web3 projects: Chainlink, Arweave, Utrust, Diadata, Ocean, Polkadot, etc... just a few options. There are several. > It's impossible to know which company or even which technology will succeed in the future This is the nature of technology, man. No pain no gain, right? This is why it's so hard to come up with a fair valuation. If you take the stock market as an example, then you'll realize that this is hard even for stocks that have a cash flow to be discounted (different from crypto). Some metrics in the Information Technology sector are way higher than other traditional sectors. P/B (Price to Book) is about 4x (technology companies are usually traded 4x higher than their net worth) and P/CF it's almost 20.
