I've been in IT for 3 decades and am a privacy warrior. But you'd be surprised how few IT geeks actually know a lot about, or do a lot, to protect their privacy. Similarly how the tradfi cartel usually know shit all about defi. So I suggest you DYOR. Naomi Brockwell (NBTV) has some awesome privacy tips on her website and YouTube channel. With Brave, it is privacy enabled out of the box. Meaning that even non geeks and noobs can use it. And because it uses the same chromium engine as Chrome and Edge browsers, importing bookmarks, etc, is easy. It also runs the usual Chrome AddOns. An added bonus is that it blocks so many ads, which makes it faster to load pages and saves data. BONUS TIP: don't tick the box "Remember me" for any important websites. Just heard A TIP podcast. This Indian guy said his dad who doesn't understand anything about investing was "forced" to buy shares in an Indian bank in 1992. He then totally forgot them, later he also died. His son who is a fund manager found out that his late father investment made more than 500x. The TIP/IEF ratio compares two kinds of bonds. Right now it shows TIPS beating regular treasuries. This means investors expect inflation to remain high. If inflation stays high during a recession, it could cause a liquidity crisis. That's when assets like bonds get hard to sell without huge losses. This forces more selling of bonds, driving prices down further. It creates a vicious cycle. So the ratio suggests bonds may come under pressure if high inflation persists. Since nobody responded to your post with an answer, I will. 1. Download or use a web based exchange called MEXC. This exchange requires no KYC and is best used on Brave Browser as it naturally has a built in VPN to allow for usage on the site. 2. Download Metamask and import your Reddit key (only found on the mobile Reddit app) as well as the moons token on metamask using the arb-nova bridge. I will be honest, if you are not familiar with how to do this or you have never imported your wallet keys before, this can be the most confusing part of the process on buying moons for first timers and sometimes even people who are technically savvy. There are tutorials on how to import your Reddit wallet and moons online (YouTube, Reddit posts, etc.) From here, one you have imported your wallet on to metamask, it gets very easy. 3. Go on any exchange you usually buy from and purchase tether (USDT); EX. I usually use coinbase for it’s convenience and don’t care about the fees. 4. Go on web based MEXC site and login > click on right hand corner “wallets” tab > overview > blue “deposit” tab on the middle right hand side > and deposit USDT using the ETH network (ONLY IF YOU ARE TRANSFERING FROM COINBASE). Also, I highly recommend doing a test transaction using a small amount of cash to make sure that you are sending it to the right address. After a few minutes and confirmations, the money shows up; you’re nearly done. 4. Buy moons on MEXC, click markets and in the middle right hand corner search for MOON and the first option should be our beloved currency. Star it as a favorite that way you don’t have to constantly search for it again whenever you need to buy more in the future. After that, click on the MOON/USDT trading pair and your available USDT should appear for you to buy moons at the current price floor available. TIP: If you feel like moons will drop in price and would like to buy in at a specific price, you can set that in the “price” section. Just be careful and incorporate your decimal points or else it can be costly. After that, you have bought moons, congrats! You can transfer them out and back to your reddit wallet by clicking on wallets > overview > withdraw > and selecting moons. For the withdrawl address, copy and paste your reddit vault’s address. Again, send a small amount as a test transaction if you want to confirm where you are sending your moons to. It will take a minute or two to reflect on your reddit but once it appears, congrats! Good Q Yeah in a way its pretty similar, the big difference with a betting pool and Thales/Overtime is the addition of the AMM (Automated Market Maker). The AMM is currently treasury funded and allows us to provide deep liquidity and fully correlated positions to our users. The caps are set with 5k per markets, and we can raise them if needed. For the Superbowl we raised the game cap to 15k and managed to drove 208k in volume on the game. In the end the AMM was almost balanced out with 20k on the Chiefs. Pretty cool. So every time users buys Position 1, the AMM buys position 2. The user is also subject to skew impact which allows the AMM to stay profitable over time. In my opinion, this is the TIP of the iceberg for many online sites where people are motivated by $$$ and/or fame. And it's only going to get worse as the AI gains access to more data and more compute power to research & construct more elaborate and sophisticated answers. Currently, one of the few methods to counter this scourge is to go directly to the Open Source AI and ask if "IT" was the culprit who wrote the article. Imagine an AI like ChatGPT that is closed off to the public and works in the shadows where we cannot determine if the source was bot driven or written by a human. With so many people simply unable to challenge or ask questions about what they see/read, this has the makings of megacorporations gaining more power & riches (as if they do not already have enough) to the detriment of the population. I found it pretty easy to withdraw to one of my wallets. I created an invoice in one of my wallets (BlueWallet for LN transactions, in this case). The invoice I created in BlueWallet was for 500SATS (JUST THE TIP… I got from OP) and then I copied the text code provided for the invoice. Back in the comment from u/LNTIPBOT (good bot!) High-interest yields are regularly enjoyed by the wealthy and are a principal means for building financial independence. The SEC has decided to use **Accredited Investor (AI)** status as a tool to limit how much access the majority of the population can have to earning in crypto. It appears that the SEC as well as the Treasury Department would like to maintain that limited access. Over 4 months I've achieved 3.5 ETH of sales. Sure, my project is still growing and not moon level, **yet**, but having grown this from absolutely nothing at all, by myself, and with no initial investment it is “successful” on these terms. (Please see my project link at the bottom so you have a point of reference – I mean, I know we’re all “experts” on Reddit :D but at least you can see where I’m coming from!) From my experience in this space, around 75% of artists starting out in NFTs quit after 2 months! I see a lot of start-up projects, especially ones without an original idea trying to sell art that’s entirely based on other successful projects. After a short amount of time of no sales, they tuck tail and run. Do you want to know why these projects fail? Most of them go into this with their vision solely on making a **quick buck**… It just wont work like that, not anymore, maybe in January 2021, but not now. &#x200B; *So this brings me to why I’m writing this article…* I get about 20 messages a day from different projects asking me how I'm able to sell NFTs and how I’ve managed to get my project on this road of success. I love to help people and get them on the right track too, but answering 20 a day is becoming difficult, hence I'm writing this article in the hope that I can help many at once and answer all these questions in one go! &#x200B; So here’s the 10 Tips, in no particular order, that I think you need to make a successful NFT Project. If you’re not following **even one** of these, your chances of success are much less. &#x200B; # TIP 1: BE ORINGINAL So you think you have an idea. You think it’s a good one. STOP! Have you simply taken “Bored Apes” and made “Slightly Bored Apes”? If you have, give yourself a hard slap round the face! The market is oversaturated with these kinds of works, and although you can have relatively good success by doing this it’s much harder and you’ll need a LARGE marketing budget to try and stand out. A cheap and effective way to stand out is to have an original idea! Create some art that you don’t come across very often. Whether you’re creating a collection of items or 1/1 pieces of art, you want to make sure your art is something that stops investors in their tracks and makes them want to find out more! Give your project meaning and depth and it has a foundation to exist on. Without that a small gust could blow it down. Digi Caps has a solid foundation, I built an entire world for my nft art to exist in and develop into as the project progresses. Yours doesn’t have to be that deep, but without some reason behind its existence the foundation is weak and it won’t last. &#x200B; # TIP 2: GOOD ARTWORK Be prepared to put some time and effort into your art. Sure a squiggly line on a piece of paper could sell for 50 ETH… but do you have 100 ETH marketing budget to hire celebrities to convince people to buy it? Nope, I bet you don’t… so instead what you have is your time and effort, that’s free. No good at art… try some of the ai generative programs that exist out there like Starryai or NightCafe, but never forget STEP 1! Don’t just generate random art and have no foundation behind it! “Art” is subjective. There’s some damn cool art out there that is actually drawn and created by kids. This generally fortifies its substance, however sometimes badly drawn artwork has clearly been created by an adult who simply is not an artist and in this case you might be better off employing someone from Fiverr to create what’s in your head. To have the best chance of success, create something that is pleasing to look at, or at least has enough substance behind it to be arguably brilliant. &#x200B; # TIP 3: BRANDING AND WEBSITE These two factors go a long way to solidify your professionalism in this business. Investors are interested in seeing a return on their investment. If they feel your project lacks professionalism, they may turn away due to lack of trust. If you’re a 1/1 artist, maybe you want your face to be the brand image. If you’re building a collection of art you may want a name and logo to portray your brand. Figure this out and make it consistent. Try to look as professional as possible. It can only work in your favour. &#x200B; # TIP 4: ROADMAP A roadmap is something which outlines what steps you’re going to take to make sure the project advances as time goes on. Releasing a project without some kind of roadmap in place is basically telling the buyer that you don’t have any plans for the future… This is a massive red flag for any buyer, it tells them that a) you don’t know enough about what you’re doing to provide them with a solid plan and b) you only want to sell your art, make some money and do a runner. You need to show potential investors what you plan on doing with their investment and how you expect the project to look in the coming months/years so that they know what they’re getting into. Investors want to know they will be able to get their money back at some stage and preferably with a solid increase! What you need to do for certain is to deliver on all roadmap targets! Make sure to include some smaller and achievable targets to begin with so you can deliver a few early achievements. &#x200B; # TIP 5: UTILITY This ties back into the roadmap, where you should outline the utilities you have planned for your NFTs. This is a tricky one to grasp and requires a lot of thought, but if you can add Utility into your project so that when someone buys an NFT they don’t just end up with a piece of art work that “might” gain value over time, it will be a massive positive. For instance, if you buy a Crypto Cap from Digi Caps, it gives you a number of perks going forward. You gain access to website VIP areas (these are being worked on but are outlined in my roadmap – see the importance of outlining what’s coming up and delivering on it), you also gain pre-sale access to all future collections, a free mint for a Digi Cap Raider Avatar (a collection we’re working on in the background right now), and you also get one free undercap NFT with every Crypto Cap, which holds a symbol and enters you into a prize draw to win a free cap from the next collection, which by the time of release I expect to be extremely valuable. These are simple utilities I’ve added into my project for the investors to benefit from. For future usage I expect the NFTs to be used in my long-term goal of a web based RPG game in The Dreadlands. So you can see how I’ve created current utility and future utility for the NFTs, they are not JUST artwork. This is something you should give a lot of thought to if you want to be successful. &#x200B; # TIP 6: SOCIAL MEDIA PRESENCE Yes, to achieve anything in this business (and you do have to think of this as a business, not a hobby) you need a highly active social media presence. If this isn’t something you can do, you need to think again about entering this space. Most importantly Twitter, Instagram, and Discord. Telegram, Facebook, Tiktok, Youtube, Medium, and Reddit are all quite important as well! Your social media presence is essentially your store front, portfolio and where you meet people of the community that will help you grow as a brand. You need to build a following behind your project and this is a vital step that can’t be ignored. It takes time to generate interest and following for your work unless you have a large marketing budget, and even then, it’s still hard to get genuine interest without having to give away most of what you are creating. Most importantly about these social fronts that you need to be active on 24/7 is the fact that you will meet lots of other people doing what you are doing. You can not only build up a following, but also an incredible amount of support. The NFT Community is genuinely one of the best communities I’ve ever been a part of. Sure, there’s plenty of selfish people amongst them and scammers (You MUST be aware of scammers and how to avoid them) but over time you genuinely will find some of the nicest people who all want each other to succeed. This will help you immensely with some of the following steps! Discord is an important one because you will want to direct potential buyers or new investors in your project here to congregate. It’s a tough one to get active, even with a lot of members you need to generate hype and a buzz around your discord to keep people there and social activity up. Digi Caps Discord is setup well, but I’m working on generating that buzz now with some actions coming up in the next couple of weeks. It’s still vital though and I meet a lot of potential investors there, some people who just want to chat because they find the project interesting and also ones who have just invested and want to shout about it with others in the same position. &#x200B; # TIP 7: SUPPORT GROUPS Taking any of the social media fronts above, you will want to create support groups amongst those that you trust most of all. You can help each other boost tweets or Instagram posts to gain more exposure. One of the Twitter groups I am in have helped me gain a much larger following and reach than if I were working alone. It’s essentially the same as paying for promotion, except you can do this for free most of the time by simply supporting each other in this way. PRO TIP. Get a job in the healthcare field as a “traveler”. It doesn’t have to be anything fancy. I’m a sterile processing tech. I literally just clean tools from surgery and build “case carts”. I went from making 20$ an hour to 2,500$ a week, nearly 4x my previous wage and the only downside is I have to move from city to city every 3-6 months. As long as you don’t have kids it’s living the dream. I’m off to Los Angeles in February for my next 13 week contract. Now I could care less what the short term movements are in crypto.
