And don’t even get me started on fiat crimes, thefts, scams, and fraud. They occur way more often but don’t get the publicity that crypto does. It’s fucked. Hardware wallet developer Ledger is releasing a new device designed by Tony Fadell, the inventor of the iPod and co-creator of the iPhone, at a time when the company is boasting record sales.  Ledger's new credit card-sized device is named Ledger Stax. It's set to launch next year and will be priced at $279, a markup from its Ledger Nano X, which currently retails at $149. Ledger hopes to justify Stax's price point through a focus on ease of use with its e-ink touchscreen, which curves at the spine to indicate a user's battery percentage. The screen allows the user to visualize NFTs (albeit in black and white), manage their coins, and connect to its Ledger Live mobile app via Bluetooth to access swaps, staking, and on-ramping services.  iPod inventor Fadell become involved in the development of the product eighteen months ago. He aimed to build a digital asset device that isn't just for "the geeks," per the statement. Record sales Ledger wallets have seen huge upticks in sales as crypto investors seek to self-custody their crypto in the wake of FTX's collapse. Ledger CEO Pascal Gauthier claimed in an interview with The Block that November was its best-ever month, almost double from its previous monthly record.

AGHHHHHHHHH 😱” Then they look at the charts THEY CREATED and wonder why everything is red. They’ll blame JPow, Biden, Trump, Janet Yellen, et al. Even though a 0.1% increase shouldn’t have any direct effect, nor should a CPI report. It’s people freaking out from this shit that creates the very market that makes people fear CPI report releases. It’s FEAR that causes a market crash, not the actual inflation increase. That’s why markets crash before the report sometimes. Doesn’t even matter what the content of the report is.

Low fees for trading, great customer service, I like the UI. Reliable app, and they pass audits saying they have every coin they should. Meaning they're not just selling you pixels on a screen or cfd's. Cons: no ach for deposit That last one is what is stifling them I believe. Much easier to load money through cb or any other, than to go to the bank and wire it, which, for me costs $20 per wire. Still worth it overall as a swing trader, cuz those cb fees add up QUICK. Ymmv if you're buy n hold dca type, but I'd fully expect kraken to outlast the nontransparent bigs who may have your actual coins, but probably don't. I'd like to see if kraken has better uptime than conbase though. I got in kraken after the bear started so I don't know yet.

I'm not sure people understood the situation we were in at the beginning of the pandemic. The alternative to some inflation was an economic collapse. You literally had entire cities at a standstill. Look at China recently. You have a lot of armchair economists saying "well duh of course they shouldn't have given out so much money" and they are just absolute idiots. Business, both small and large would have failed. The airline industry would have collapsed. EVERYTHING would have been fucked. There was a poll every once in a while that showed consistently that the average American family didn't have enough money/savings for an unexpected $500 expense. Now tell that same family that they can't work for months. My dad's business shut down for weeks, and he saw a massive fall in work once he opened it back because everyone was staying at home. The government didn't "let it happen", it just happened. The moment they printed money it was going to happen no matter what, but the virus is, was, and will be in control for the foreseeable future. If anything it started back in Trump's term because of how SEVERELY he mishandled the vaccine and the encouraged the vaccination. We're only back to normal because of the vaccine, and we'd be even better if that remainder of the MAGA idiots would just get vaccinated. We're going to see another surge in the x-mas holiday season, guaranteed, but not as severe as before because of the vaccines. Both parties, but specially the Dems, were at fault at giving so many people checks in the upper income levels because it would look bad politically not to do so. It was stupid, because all those people that got checks that didn't need them was a wasted opportunity. I know a lot of poor people from back home that those checks SAVED them, or helped them get through an economic catastrophe. Same with the unemployment and eviction moratorium. The well off people used that extra money for luxury goods/amazon sprees, and crypto purchases. I know 2 couples that are well off and used the money for crypto because it was just gambling money at that point. Inflation was going to rise, but to what level no one knew. Anyone that says they knew is full of shit, plain and simple. We won't know until they do the research years after the fact. One thing that we do know that inflation was severely impacted by supply chain and energy issues. Supply chains were completely fucked by how poorly China and a lot of other countries handled the vaccine rollout. A lot didn't have the resources, but China's zero covid policy turned out to be a disaster. You then have the war in ukraine that fucked oil prices. Even before the war energy prices were going up and that is also related to supply chains and worker shortages. The world economy went from 0 to 100 REAL FUCKING QUICK. If anything what we're seeing is normal for the situation we're in. People just want to go "it was 100% Biden" or "it was 100% the fed", but the reality it was Covid. That's it. It was covid, and it always has been.
