Im not a sceptic, but what vail ?! Also, like op, im wonder why ppls don't use crypto coins ( SAT, for example)on normal like any other currency. In the past, there was some tentative but stop, like shops, pizzas, tesla, etc. This says something, and from my opinion, will never go to fruition all prophecy if something wipes the bancar system . We are already using electronic money ,but not also crypto, which few of them are already old .

I love comparing myself to others though. Personally it doesn’t take away my joy but rather it’s like “if they can do it, I can too”. Pretty much in everything I participate in, I aim to practice or work up to a top 1% level because I like to be able to be compared and be good at something and it takes a decent amount of effort but not a insane amount. Goes for bodybuilding/lifting, GPA/MCAT/SAT scores, pistol shooting, racing, gaming, finances, etc. just everything I want to actually work on.

do you have the humility to admit we are saying the same thing about SAT AND BTC? That the only thing we truly are arguing is your understanding of what I am saying? WHICH IS: SAT is a smaller and easier unit to make FIAT exchanges with. That it being relative to BTC provides stability in its exchange value. That it is much easier to sell and buy because of its natural liquidity. And, that SAT is much easier to process than BTC because it's naturally 1/1000000 the size of a BTC.

You are not wrong, but you are also not right. There doesnt need to be a specific file or a specific program called chokepoint 2.0 for it to exist. In the same way australia never had a while australia policy - but it did. The US government were putting sweeping and wide regulations onto crypto businesses that simply could not be complied with. then punishing crypto companies for being unable to comply. They did not try to build regulations that could be complied with, they deliberatly refused to explain how to be compliant. https://cryptonews.com.au/news/us-federal-judge-grills-sec-over-refusal-to-define-simple-questions-about-btc-eth-123525/ At a minimum It meant full KYC of every person within the crypto space. "standard banking practices" benefit banks, and disable the operation of crypto which are trying to replace banks. The compliance measures were simply unobtainable and was deliberatly designed to stop large scale credit flight away from the USD and into BTC and alts, and stop ordinary people moving savings into BTC. the SEC understood that BTC represented a risk to the USD hegemony and sought to stifle it because they could not control it. Now that the legal infrastructure for ETFs is in place, they allow the large scale purchase of BTC but only because they can now track every single SAT, tax and regulate it - control it. CH did try to implement changes in cardano to try and become compliant with the 'contingent staking' argument but it was shot down by the community. XRP spent like 7 years trying to prove they were not a security, which they eventually won but only after a change of government - which says a lot about the political nature of the law suits rather than the legality of it. There was absolutly a governmental crackdown on crypto from the left. and an eleviation of regulation from the right. So everything the CH has said stands up to scruitiny. Is 0 regulation the answer? no. Is traditional banking regulation being forcibly applied to crypto the answer? no.

Started buying in 2016, was told about it in 2014, of course I wish I bought then. I was still at college so not too many funds, but the international approach of it was an attraction (international student In the US). Nearly sold in 2017, best mates dad told me he would punch me in the face if I didn't hold for at least 4 years. Sold a tiny amount in 2021, which I have no regrets over, but outside of that, haven't sold a SAT and relatively numb to the price movements (down) now. It has changed my view on economics, removed me from the system and as I spend time in 2 countries, has allowed me to be my own bank. Continue to DCA, up or down, I buy every Friday without fail. Won't be selling until 2033 at the earliest, when I'd enter my 40s. Of course If I have a personal event or something happens that I cant control, that could change, but that is the plan. The SnP 500 will keep up with the money printer and inflation, but storing long term wealth in dollars or pounds/Euros is like keeping a ice cube in the fridge, may not melt too quick, but it'll melt away.

Change your mindset and focus on Satoshi's (lowest denominator of bitcoin). People refer to it as stacking 'SATs'. You will most likely never own a 'whole' bitcoin as there are only 21 million BTC (and the number cannot be increased). Instead you'll own fractions of bitcoin aka SATs. $1 USD = \~12,000 SATs. One day, the value may change so that $1 USD = 1 SAT.

It’s 0.00000001 btw && When 1 Satoshi aka Single Unit of Bitcoin is $1.00 USD then perhaps mSATs will become new standard a layer two option. Currently deployed in video games with BTV or Bitcoin where a deposit of 1 SAT or SATOSHI == 10M Micro Satoshi or mSAT The concept is you deposit 100 SATS for 100 MSAT of in game or on layer token / coin. Essentially also used for security validation options, where the token itself becomes a validator imagine sending a micro sat to login. I always said from before 2009 you must be able to send a single unit of Satoshi again 0.00000001 BTC or the project is over if you can’t physically use or access every single Satoshi by it self.

A statement that tracks with one of Trump's professors saying he was the dumbest student he ever had. That statement tracks with Mary Trump saying Don's sister did his homework. That statement tracks with that sister alluding to Trump having someone take his SAT, which allowed him to transfer from Fordham to UPenn. Oh look, another diss at Michael Saylor's MicroStrategy... He - nor his company - hasn't sold a single SAT yet, and this dude is so orangepilled that I truly don't expect him to ever do so. You'll get your "gotcha" moment when this happens, but until then, shut your mouth. He gets on podcasts and news channels and all of that, because he wants others to get out of the rat race. If it's only to shill his bags, then you'd expect him sold aggressively at 100k, yet that's the price mark where made the biggest purchase yet. The higher the price, the more confidence this guy gets. It's not the behaviour of someone who's gonna dump it all very soon. Stay a little depressed doomer, though. I'm sure everyone is out to get you and the feds are in your walls listening to every word you say. Absolute schizo, lol.

It's only a theory, but I genuinely believe that the amount of OTC Bitcoin is slowly running out. Like, Saylor/MicroStrategy has bought so damn much in the last couple of years, and it's always OTC. Every SAT that this company buys, stays locked up forever (at least for now). I think that exchanges are therefore getting BTC from the chain (albeit slowly so the price doesn't double overnight, lol) so companies like that can keep buying. It's not only MS that buys OTC, by the way. It's the most famous one for sure, but it's obvious that almost all the big boys use this 'trick'. If you look at the top 2 exchanges, Coinbase and Binance, they're both losing BTC *rapidly*. Way more than all the other ones, percentage-wise. I think MS mainly buys from them.

Words are used to be easily recognizable and reduce typos. This does extend to which words are chosen, in that words are chosen to not be similar, easily confused with one another, and to have the first 4 letters be unique. But if I see SATO, I know that's SATOSHI. And vice-versa. I don't see how that can result in me making a 'typo' on my seed plate. I would not backup SATI or SAUC when trying to store SATOSHI. Or are you saying that by only storing 4 letters, the odds of being unable to identify words if the plate is damaged increases? I could see confusion if all I had to work with was SAT_. Enough of that and the seed could become unrecoverable.

You have it the wrong way around. The way to allow a currency to accommodate growing population is to divide the money more, not add more to the entire supply. Both methods (inflation and dividing) have the same result, greater number of total units. However inflation does it by stealing value from everyone else using the currency, while dividing the money does not change the value at all. The value will rise gradually with population and productivity growth. Gold has inflation, but its natural. Newly mined gold is only obtained by people willing to put in the time and capital to locate gold deposits, and extract them from the earth. Nature defines the distribution of new units of gold, or money. A largely unelected group of people define the distribution of new units of fiat currency. While those people can decide to destroy units of the currency by doing things like raising interest rates, the past 50-100 years shows us this rarely happens and they always create more units over time. Even more than their *supposed goal* of 2% per year. What’s even worse is it requires them to put in no time or capital, they do it for free by creating it out of thin air. Math and code running on a decentralized network of computers defines the distribution of newly mined Bitcoin and eventually stops. This creates a finite supply of money. The only people who receive these are people who allocate time and capital to producing them (mining). If Bitcoin becomes too valuable to the point where 1 SAT is not able to define the value of the cheapest good in our economy, then it can be divided further. It already is on the Lightning Network.

Bitcoin is NOT a currency just like Gold isn't a currency either, BTC it is a digital asset For it to be a currency it would need to be able to buy and sell things with it BTW I am long bitcoin Even Saylor says it is NOT a currency So few people really understand this It may someday become a currency once the "framework" is in place to make it possible to transact purchases and sales in it via a coin or a "SAT" but right now its not a pure currency That framework is what the Trump people plan to put in place soon

r/BitcoinSee Comment

1. You’ll be LONG like extremely LONG death by the time the last BTC is mined. (~2140 should be the year we mine the last one). 2. Generally after it is accepted that the network/transaction fee’s would be enough incentive for a miner to keep the rigs running. 3. What if EVERYONE hodls EVERY SINGLE SAT ? Well, Bitcoin would keep existing, so would the network, there would just be no data or transactions to process, generating no fee’s, so we probably wouldn’t mine the next block until we have an incentive to ? The security of the bitcoin network is validated every block, if we mine no more blocks, there isn’t anything to be secured / validated. The only reason we need bitcoin’s protective measures and thorough validation is when it is being used for transactions. If there are zero transactions globally, and all BTC are mined and hodl’d, what the fuck are you going to validate / secure ? There’s 21M BTC out there, doesn’t exactly need to be validated.. so your entire question kind of collapses on itself. For your 2nd question - If BTC crashes extremely hard a lot of miners will be turned off, reducing the total hashrate, at which point it would be interesting for someone else to turn on their miner. It will always be worth it to mine bitcoin in some place, country, region.

I think there are a couple flaws in the wording that we’re using, and the analogy of whatever the thing is were either owning or investing. Buying something is not investing. Investing in something doesn’t mean you actually own the thing you’ve invested in. And when anyone can make something that doesn’t make it scarce. if only pizzas created at Joe’s pizzeria at 123 My St., my city New York, United States, planet Earth was declared to have value and everyone wanted it then it becomes a thing of value. But not all other pizzas made anywhere else. only those and the only way to make money is to either buy the thing and park your money or invest your money with an investment firm. Right now anyone can buy the raw bitcoin, or Joe's pizza, and you can hold onto it, and it will only have the value that is current at the time of sale. Either the value keeps going up or the pizza turns to shit by the time you sell it. You can also invest your money through funds and other investment products. Those investment products are backed by bitcoin, which means that a firm bought tons of the actual asset, and they are allowing you to park your money in a fund that will increase parallel to the underlying assets of value. If the value goes down, your investment will go down. The difference between this magical pizza, and all the other pizzas in the world, is that once Joe stops making his pizzas - the supply has run out and the only people who will make the MOST money are those people who own the raw asset. Either a whole pie or one of the fractions of that raw pie. as long as the value keeps going up, everyone continues to make money, whether you’re holding the actual asset or park your money in a fund that is tied to the actual assets owned and held by some major financial institution. but those real assets cannot be divided and sold beyond a SAT. what can be done is that you can buy into funds or other virtual products. Or you can wait for someone to sell their underlying real asset, either in coin form or SAT form, and try and get your hands on a real piece of the pie. So the supply is limited. Your ability to invest is unlimited. The financial products that will be created based on the limited physical supply will also be unlimited. Because banks wanna make money. and if that golden pizza turns into $1 billion per pie, and those SATs have so much value that you can buy a house, the ETF where you parked your $100 investment will still increase. But that doesn’t mean that you own bitcoin by having your money invested in a fund. You are not a holder of the asset and you can’t get one from Joe because he stopped making them. You’d have to pay the billion dollars to buy an actual pie or sell your house to buy an actual SAT. so if we’re talking with the right terminology-there is a limited supply of the actual coin assets. And you are also correct that the financial institutions will figure out ways to monetize that limited supply and sell virtually unlimited products based off of that limited supply. sorry for any typos, but this was too much to type and I’m relying on voice to text

You'll see a news article about a guy that parlayed every NFL game and won $3M. But you won't hear about the thousands of fans that made parlays and lost a total of $18M 😅

I guess the best example is history. I thought about buying BTC in the very early days. I would literally be a billionaire had I done what I wanted to do back then. I thought about buying again in 2012. I didn't. I would have $20M right now had I followed through. I did buy some BTC in 2021, and sold it for a tiny profit later. The mainstreaming of BTC in January with the arrival of ETFs motivated me to get back in. I put nearly every penny I have outside of retirement accounts in between January and March of this year. I'm in at an average of $61k / coin and I'm not selling a single SAT until it hits at least $450k. We have an incoming President who is a crypto fan. His cabinet is crypto friendly. Wisconsin and Michigan invested a small amount of the states' pension plans in BTC earlier this year and Florida just announced it's pension plan is adding close to $1.5B in BTC to it's pension fund. We are past the tipping point where BTC's future is uncertain and adoption is going to snowball over the next few years. If you don't buy now at $100K in a few years you'll have a story like mine when BTC is $200k or $500k. "If only I had bought at $100k...."

Don't tell that to [its SAT value](https://i.imgur.com/uyxcCVV.png), which is still under 5 year levels even after going up 4x If you roll back the chart [it's even uglier](https://i.imgur.com/bCJlndR.png), it's just now starting to pass into levels it was in 2014

Lets be honest, if BTC rose to 5million per SAT they'd STILL say it was a scam, even as you board your solid gold yacht and set sail for Highclass Hooker island.

The purchasing power of EVERY SAT and fraction of that will increase. Any nonzero amount of Bitcoin benefits one's wealth. Eventually the early adopters will use their Bitcoin to buy stuff, and even if they hoard it, that will further add scarcity.

A bitcoin SAT is called a Satoshi. SAT is just an abbreviation. "SATS" is just the name of a meme coin. It has nothing to do with bitcoin.

You are right. A SAT is 1/1,000,000 of a Bitcoin. "1000SATS" is the name of a different coin. It is not bitcoin. It is only the name.

> There is no 'this time it's different' People like you have been saying this for years - and until this time, you've always been right. You will continue to be right, until you aren't. I personally also not believe that this time will be different, but I'm also not selling a single SAT for a small chance of "doubling my bags". This cycle sure feels like the "this time is different" crows could be right. First pro-BTC president, ETFs, Saylor who's addicted to buying BTC, maybe even a federal BTC reserve for the US, etc etc. The future sure looks bright though.

I won't sell a single SAT for at least another decade. I'm a BTC maxi. I don't give a shit what the price is. What I do give a shit about, though, is taking the ability away for others to also have a piece of the "financial freedom" pie that we call Bitcoin. So, right back at you; you're the scumbag. And lol, we're at an all time high until we aren't. You're actually delulu if you think 93k is the top of the bull run that literally started 2 weeks ago. >I do own bitcoin classic So as I said, you don't own Bitcoin. I could tell right away. You're probably one of those suckers who think they have to buy a full coin right away or nothing at all, with no in between.

People need to stop worrying about the size of what is available, as with all things in life Bitcoin is divisible, in 10 years people will describe what they hold in SAT’s not in part or whole Bitcoins.

Mentions:#SAT
r/BitcoinSee Comment

That's not possible. You can buy fractions of a Bitcoin. So, even if you only had $20 worth of value to trade for it, you could do so. Let's say it actually gets to 1SAT=$1, it could be subdivided even further (fractions of sats).

A single bitcoin can be broken down into 100,000,000 Satoshis or SATS per bitcoin (BTC) It’s kinda like how $1 US dollar can be divided into 100 pennies, except that with bitcoin it can be divided into 100 million satoshis. One bitcoin or 100 million sats, same thing. Values based on 11/10/24 price 1 BTC = 100,000,000 SATS = $79,389 .1 BTC = 10,000,000 SATs = $7938 .01 BTC = 1,000,000 SATs = $793 .001 BTC = 100,000 SATs = $79.38 .0001 BTC = $7.93 .00001 BTC = 10,000 SATs = $7.93 .000001 BTC = 1,000 SATs = $.79 .0000001 BTC = 100 SATs = $.079 .00000001 BTC = 10 SATs = $.0079 .000000001 BTC = 1 SAT = $.00079 Bitcoin and SATs are like Dollars and Cents - just more zeros which allows BTC to be used with smaller transactions. There is also and even smaller unit of bitcoin called the millisatoshi or mSAT, which divides a single bitcoin into one hundred billion 100,000,000,000 mSATs.

Welcome brother. It’s going to be quite a journey, be prepared to get FUD, to see your investment in red sometimes, people around you mocking you but it’s just NPC behavior don’t pay too much attention. In the end keep in mind the end goal 1 SAT = 1 dollar. You have 30 millions SATS. Keep stacking.

Well, not from "us". From miners. I'm personally not selling a single SAT to one of these big companies. Not for a very, very long time.

I will fully admit that I'm also (too) addicted to checking my portfolio - at least once a day. Absolutely no intend for selling any SAT in at least another decade, decade and a half maybe. So why do I do it? Beats me... You regularly come across a comment saying "Bitcoin will eat everything in its path" and that's absolutely true. For me, this means that all sorts of people will get sucked into Bitcoin - also the ones who are purely her to make a quick buck. If you look at this sub, I think that this is the main audience here today. Many people disguised as maxis, but then why are so many panicking when it drops 2% in a day? When it goes up 5%, you can clearly see a huge influx of new people right away. I've been here for quite a while now (not only on this newly created account) and you can very clearly see the difference between a 'red day' and a 'green day'. This sub feels almost dead when the price drops or even when its stagnant. But it feels oh-so alive when we're up. I genuinely think that the majority of people are not active here (or any other BTC forum), and just stack and don't talk about it for the most part. The silent majority. The ones who cannot stop talking about it today, are usually not the same people who have been stacking since 2009. Anyway, if you think it's bad, watch what's going to happen when the bull run officially starts in a few weeks/months (whenever it might be). Newf*gs all over the place. Not saying that's a bad thing, we all had to start somewhere, but this sub will be an absolute cesspool until the price cools down again. Then it'll be nothing but doomerism again.
