I am a Sole Proprietor in my state. Just shutdown all my mining till I think through this more. It's hardly anything out of my home that I do on the side of my consulting biz, as a "company", and is reported to my state and pay taxes on it. I can't even measure the power. If you want to do that, I would do it like this: * 1: format the SSD you're going to use with the pi with NTFS on Windows. Sync the node to it. * When you're pi arrives, format any other harddrive you have laying around (doesn't have to be SSD) with ext4. * Attach the SSD with NTFS and the second harddrive with ext4 to the pi. Copy the bitcoin directory over to the ext4 harddrive. * Once done, format the SSD to ext4 and copy back from harddrive. * Mount the SSD at `${HOME}/.bitcoin` of the user who's going to run bitcoind. Alternatively you can use exFAT for the SSD and use that on Windows and GNU/Linux, no copying back and forth needed. But exFAT isn't a native Linux filesystem, so all the permissions will be fucked up, so that's suboptimal. Running from Ubuntu, even just from a live USB system, is much easier. No copying everything around, no need for exFAT.

When you put paper currency in a bank account, the bank now owns the money. You have a digital IOU that says they owe you that paper if you ever want it out again. It's the same thing with Bitcoin. If you give the Bitcoin to a crypto bank, they have the keys. You have an account with an IOU that says they owe you that Bitcoin if you ask for it. A bank account is not the same thing as cash in hand. A Bitcoin account is not the same thing as Bitcoin private key in your hand. Bitcoin is like gold. You hold it AT HOME. Not in a "bank" like Binance. Bitcoin private keys are the same thing as a login to a bank.

Technically it isn't a scam, but yeah I was in the mint launch and burned 800 usd into near nothing now. So many projects ive seen die deserved mass investment, and the devs sat back and watched 2 minute shit tokens on eth moon instantly over branding on some website and no development whilst they work for years actually developing something in ernest. That has actually been a plague crypto space wide. Binance has been stealing IP left and right, replacing every single thing with a centralized ccp version and everyone loves them for some obscure reason, whilst they wash Tether for Bitfinex for years, stealing everyones USD by buying up Bitcoin and most cryptos to false moon on unbacked Tethers. Really backed by rugged USD. A good example is Blocknet... they applied to list, Binanace asked them a heap of sensitive queries about how it worked (it is peer to peer QT wallet to QT wallet trading between bitcore forked coins, there's a LOT of them) anyway, Binance proceeds to now list Blocknet, but then launches a peer to peer trading section months later. We need to support grass roots. And grass roots projects going down in value because nobody invests in them does NOT compare them to scams which go UP because people greedily buy into hype. Pepe is the biggest rug of all time I think, they've leeched more capital out of people than I think even EOS did with it's 2 YEAR ICO lol. 2.4 Billion dollars trading value on Pepe for a couple of days and it only went down the moment it hit CEX, because the guys who launched the LP only put in 1 ETH which they can get part out with their 6% of supply and never ever ever lose money as they bought in first from their own swap LP, from the 94% supply... even if LP tokens are burned they can still rug having dumped a mill into the scam, wash traded volume up. exactly! Can you picture this? A 70 year old who probably never heard of BTC is supposedly told how to run do the tx at the ATM. I know how to do it and it is still a headache and nightmare, there are a lot of steps involved for someone who knows nothing. So, she supposedly takes out 10K in cash from the bank who just told her not to say anything to the bank employees and read from a script. Then she leaves with it and goes to somewhere they've directed her, she wouldn't know where ATMs are in her town, guaranteed. Then can you picture her standing there FEEDING 100 $100 bills into the machine. What about her KYC? She needs to scan her ID and all that shit. Next, how did they give her a wallet address where to send it? That would be confusing on how to do that to anyone new. Then what?....she goes back home they still tell her they need more money (because you know ALL her funds were at risk but they only needed her to remove 10K and the rest of her money is still at risk? lol) So what person wouldn't say "My money is at risk? good heavens let me get it out and then come HOME with it and put it in a shoebox, put it in a safe/drawer whatever. Then they say there is nothing can be done...sure there is. Get the police to call the owner of the BTC ATM and go over there and open it an get her physical money out.
