I’ve been lost in Mecca for two solid weeks, and I’m ready to preach about this blockchain RPG that’s hitting all the right spots. Built on Solana, Mecca’s a neon-soaked open-world where you’re a trader, schemer, or warlord in a futuristic holy city. It’s like Final Fantasy had a baby with Uniswap, and I’m here for it. Gameplay’s next-level: AI-driven quests sync with crypto market swings (shoutout Chainlink oracles), so you’re battling through “bear market ambushes” or staking MECCA tokens ($0.02ish) to claim turf in dynamic events. Every sword, plot, or “faith point” is an NFT you own—flipped a rare spice caravan for 0.4 ETH profit, though I got rekt on a shady in-game pump for 0.2 SOL. The mobile app’s clutch for grinding anywhere, and cross-chain support (ETH/Polygon) lets you import your CryptoKitties or whatever. Downsides? Economy’s a rollercoaster—whales can crash your vibe—and wallet setup’s a hurdle for normies (Phantom’s your friend). But the ex-Ubisoft team’s legit, and the community’s popping on Discord. I’m 45 hours in, up ~$160 in tokens, and raiding with new homies. Mecca’s the real deal for anyone craving GameFi with DeFi soul. *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. They are the team behind the upcoming action RPG, Ronin Awakening, which is currently generating real, organic hype in the mainstream gaming community, not just the crypto space. They've even got a demo on Steam Next Fest, which shows how serious they are about quality. Their whole ecosystem is built around the $LUNAR token, which isn't about P2E rewards; it's a utility layer for ownership, community governance, and access to their most innovative tech, like their next game, Z-DAY, which features those industry-first AI-powered NPCs you're describing. The token simply rewards the dedicated player base, it doesn't subsidize a bad game
Absolutely. The one studio I'm tracking that is nailing this 'Game First, Utility Second' model is MoonPrime Games. Yeah, I get that 100%. Most crypto games are pretty terrible and feel more like work than fun. Gods Unchained is solid because it's a good game first. That's kind of the vibe I get from this one too. The crypto/web3 part is the long-term plan, but right now it's just a straight-up RPG you play in Discord for free. The tokens you earn don't have real value yet, so it's more about the gameplay loop of leveling up and fighting bosses. It's a different approach, at least.
I may be latr to this post, but here is part of my thesis on Kendu https://www.reddit.com/r/KenduInu_Ecosystem/s/30CI4eJJeh The only thing that has changed is a similar or cheaper entry and the time for businesses to generate real buy pressure (buy to hold in business treasuries and some businesses will donate to the Kendu Treasury) has shortened. Kendu games is going to release their AAA RPG first game by deeply experienced abd successful devs some from BioWare soon. The future is bright and the new website is an exceptional way to view and get an idea about what we are about and what we have accomplished. Kendu.io

> If even 10% of traditional gaming shifts over to web3 gaming, One of the biggest scammy arguments "crypto bros" like to do is to use reductive argument to build up an imaginary product market fit. This is especially true for gaming. You hear it constantly. "Crypto gambling/pump fun is gaming. Normies love gaming." "This ponzi is gaming. Normies love gaming." "Trenching is a skill issue. Those who are good at RPG would love trenching." ROFL. No. One of the thorniest topic in Western gaming audience is P2W. Most just simply stop seeing as a game if the P2W become too strong. P2W used to be more acceptable among the Asian gaming audience. No surprise things like Axie Infinity etc blew up in Asia. But even nowadays, P2W is becoming more thorny among the Asian gaming audience. With the Chinese economy performing poorly, there are fewer "RMB warriors" running around. If you don't have P2W elements, you aren't going to drive up demand for tokens, especially when they are extremely volatile. Cosmetic purchases have huge price sensitivity irl. ETH early holders losing their wealth effects on NFTs in 2021 completely numb everyone's senses on the real demand for in-game cosmetics.
There's a modern fantasy RPG called Unknown Armies, where magic comes from contradiction. And there's a kind of wizard called a "plutomancer" who gains power from _acquiring_ money, but loses all their stored power if they ever spend any of it. So they live like paupers while they sit on fortunes, always seeking something they will never actually use.
1. Cambodia did not agree to use a 1:50000 map to divide the territory like every other country, but wanted to use a 1:200000 map which was not detailed. The map was roughly created 100 years ago. 2. Cambodia invaded Thai territory by digging a shelter and secretly planting a bomb which caused the legs of 2 Thai soldiers to be amputated. 3. Cambodia transported RPG weapons close to the border and flew drones into Thailand to survey the military forces. Thailand told them to retreat but Cambodia refused. 4. Cambodia fired rockets into Thailand without specifying their coordinates, causing the rockets to fall on hospitals, 7-11 stores and houses of the people, killing 14 people, including children and the elderly. 5. Thailand responded with F16s, destroying 2 Cambodian military bases. In conclusion, it can be seen that Thailand clearly aimed to destroy Cambodian military strongholds, not civilians. However, Cambodia did not intend to destroy Thai military bases, but civilians and hospitals. This can be considered a war crime. Thailand therefore has the legitimacy to retaliate against Cambodia.
I got my bets on $SmallPipi! looking forward to the RPG card games based on Pipi NFTs that will be launched!

Yeah it is an amazingly bullish and cool thing. Plus I am getting that RPG. Don't care if I have to get a PC to play on
If we are just talking bullish numbers that will make price go up: Kendu Games (video game) is developing their first game with a AAA ex Bio Ware developer. The game will be an RPG with 10% of revenue going to buy KENDU for their Treasury and 5% of revenue donated to the Kendu Treasury!
I have significant BTC holdings. I also make > 180k / year. ~9 years ago I was homeless, addicted to drugs and was in serious debt. For me the first step was rehab and quitting drug use. I’m an addict for life, but I’ve been sober for over six years. When in rehab I mostly did IT related stuff to make money. Wall hacks for CSGO on a subscription basis, write Runescape bots, sell Runescape accounts, etc… None of the above were legal ways of earning an income, so I went looking for a job (was pressured by family to do so). I dropped out of college due to my drug issues and finding a job was going to prove challenging. I essentially begged potential employers to “test me”. Arguing I had computer science skills, and would rather kms than work in a factory or McDonald’s. Two first employers I spoke to were actually open to the idea (to my surprise). After doing the tests, I was quickly offered a job by both. One would have me work immediately as a Java developer in an architect company, the other was to go and learn RPG development and I series under IBM. I went with the RPG/IBM approach - was a lot more work and way heavier hours but a better future prospect. During the course at IBM they encouraged us to “experiment” and “if we were going to break something, this was the time to do it”. And so I hacked a mainframe and took complete control during the course. When I say hacked, all I did was hack the user profile of the person who set up the system and had *QSECOFR authority. Removed the authority everywhere except for my profile. This essentially gave me “control” of the system. I did it all to jokingly say “My mainframe now”, but it obviously made some people notice me. I pulled some more shenanigans and with some of the first CL programming we learned I wrote malware for that same mainframe. Ran it, and accidentally impacted an actual business using a logical partition of that same machine in Germany. (Was only possible because it was administered with some wrong system management practices). Worked a year as a full stack developer, quit when I received an offer after an extensive application process. I applied to a hard & software development company focused on aerospace engineering and for another role as a medical software engineer. Took the offer for medical software and worked there for over 4 years. (At this point I was surrounded by clinical biologists, doctorates (PHD’s), I was still just a college drop-out. When I realised my employer was charging clients 163,50€/h for my services, I quit and started my own company. Leveraging my name and prior experience. Now I’m rich, not from working, not from being a medical software engineer, and not even from my IT company. What made me rich were the wallhacks, Runescape bots and Runescape accounts I sold way back in the day, acquiring BTC when the price was in the triple digits. Throughout the years, outside of work, I kept doing other IT activities to make side money. TLDR: If you’re not born into money, SKILLS and (lots of) hard work is what gets you to a stage where you can buy 1-4 BTC in one go. Skills and your health are the two most important things to invest in. Health will keep you earning and skills will help you earn.
1b is a very bearish target for Kendu. Even in this market/marketcap, we have output that matches centimillion-dollar established memes with higher holder counts. But that's just social output. Kendu has an infinite plethora of directions and industries it's beginning to show presence in. Sports branding (You Kendu It, "We don't gamble, we work"), esports, gaming titles (follow KenduGames on Twitter, ex-Bioware dev is leading first RPG title), events sponsorships, real-world products like board games, energy drinks, and coffee. When Kendu holders become rich, and they will, this output will only be scaled upwards. Nobody is doing what Kendu is doing, and nobody ever has. The culture has taken a year to form, so it'd be very difficult to try to replicate it now. Kendu has Community-as-a-service down to a tee. It is the only token near these levels with the potential for multi-billion household name status. If you're reading this as an outsider, please feel free to get involved. You'll have a lot of fun, make many connections and friends, make a lot of money, and become someone greater than you are today. I look forward to seeing you on the front lines. 🫡
Get you a ten-sided die and randomly roll your PIN. The RPG nerds get it right sometimes.
I was talking with folks about it in an RPG forum/game around this time, probably a bit later but certainly before markets popped up, so it's less improbable than you think. Sadly I never really subscribed to the printing money thoughts I kept hearing. Yup, thems the way it goes sometimes.
The issue is that regulators around the world started putting their interpretation of how to handle trading crypto around 2018, before then everybody, apart from few, treated crypto as "magic Internet money", worth as much as tokens you earn on slaying monsters in your favourite RPG. Those who traded before 2018 had no guidance on whether they should record anything at all. With many exchanges from that era gone those people often have little documentation themselves.
tldr; Ubisoft has quietly released its first NFT game, Champions Tactics: Grimoria Chronicles, a competitive multiplayer turn-based RPG. The game involves acquiring digital character figurines, with prices reaching up to $63,000. Despite widespread dislike for NFTs in gaming, Ubisoft continues to push web3 initiatives. The game was released with minimal promotion, possibly indicating Ubisoft's awareness of community sentiment. This release comes amid a challenging period for Ubisoft, with other projects facing financial difficulties. *This summary is auto generated by a bot and not meant to replace reading the original article. It's too early for this idea of nfts when most of the mainstream thinks crypto is hurting the planet or some bullshit. I think it's really cool to have truly scarce items in like an RPG world where a sword can actually be special because it really is one of a kind as a token. Like there's a lot of things that could be done with that stuff, it's just not being done yet due to (intentionally price suppressive) misinformation in the mainstream media.
tldr; Ubisoft is set to launch its first Web3 game, Champions Tactics: Grimoria Chronicles, on October 23, 2024. This tactical RPG marks Ubisoft's entry into blockchain gaming, utilizing the Oasys blockchain's HOME Verse. The game features 75,000 unique champions, allowing players to fully own their assets, a key aspect of Web3 technology. The game aims to blend traditional gaming with blockchain, developed by teams from Assassin’s Creed and Far Cry. The community has shown strong interest since its reveal at IVS Kyoto. *This summary is auto generated by a bot and not meant to replace reading the original article. As always, DYOR.
NancyCoin is a cryptocurrency designed to support wildlife preservation and research into Psittacine Beak and Feather Disease (PBFD). Inspired by an umbrella cockatoo named Nancy, the project combines digital currency with a mission to aid bird conservation. The roadmap includes various milestones tied to market cap growth, each bringing new initiatives, donations, and community events. Key features include an RPG game, NFTs, and significant donations to bird charities at each stage. For more details, visit the [NancyCoin website](https://www.nancycoin.com).
Lol there is no point in buying crypto other than gambling on the price. "Investors" just gamble on the price and get rekt 99% of the time because some con man says this coin will be used for the next MMO RPG or some bullshit use case before he rug pulls or puts out some low effort "product" (BTC is almost as old as the first iPhone and people are still trying to find a real use case). Creepto is a cesspool of scams and broke bag holders trying to dump on you. That's why people who actually are smart and have money avoid it
Definitely aiming to be consistent with regard to DCA’ing Bitcoin. I read a post on /Bitcoin recently, the OP said that he had become frugal in his life due to Bitcoin. That dopamine hit he used to get from shopping or some other form of money based instant gratification, was replaced with a new of delayed release gratification in the form of a dopamine hit you get from Bitcoin. It’s deeply satisfying DCA’ing Bitcoin, I’ve never engaged in something that gave that kind of dopamine hit that had inherent value rather than taking value away from you. I get it, I get that dopamine hit, I look at the graphs, I watch the Dip and the rise, I watch the market go bear to bull and back again. Life’s a game, Bitcoin is a stats based RPG, instead of XP you get generational wealth, instead of boss fights you gotta use those diamond hands to hodl tight during the bear!!! The epic lewts from those boss fights are the gains you get when the market goes full bull!!! I’m hoping the cut scene ending is seeing the joy and appreciation in my daughters eyes when she fully understands that she wont be a slave to the system, no longer fated for life in prison but destined to be able to pursue her dreams!!! Sounds corny but who doesn’t like a happy ending huh?
You can try out CallOfTheVoYd on iOS by Mystic Games. It’s an RPG with a plan to release five games in total, featuring elements like DeFi, MMO, governance, and more, all powered by their V token. There will also be in-game competitions. V’s TGE is in August, so the real earning begins soon, but you can play now to acquire points. The game is owned by a web2 company, and I actually like it. If you’re interested in GambleFi, Akarun is fun. It’s a racing game based on real-time price movements. These are the web3 games I play.
If you’re a tabletop RPG player and you’ve got some 8 and 4 sided dice lying around, you could roll 3 8-sided and 1 4-sided dice. I have a document with lookup tables I printed out that has 8 pages, 8 tables per page, 8 rows and 4 columns per table. Roll the dice, look up your word in the tables, repeat 12 or 24 times depending on your desired seed length. The CRC bits are a bit tricky. I wrote some python to handle that part. I don’t have access to the document right now, but when I get home I’ll upload a copy and link it here.
My genre is multiplayer RPG. If anybody has any recommendations for me I would greatly appreciate it. Right now I feel like it's amateur hour for crypto games. Reminds me of the days when people use to publish free games just because. Except now they want to monetize a "bubble shooter" with crypto. The space needs a AAA publisher. There's a couple games in development that I feel are worth tracking for multiplayer RPG- eve's project awakening, ember sword, star atlas. Anybody have anything else worth putting on the radar?
That sounds like a plan,I’ll dedicate my time to video games.get caught up on all the RPG and action adventure games that I no longer have time to play.hopefully by then there will be a new Elder Scrolls,Dragon Age,GTA 6,Bioshock,RDR3,etc..the only time I will leave my house will be to go out to the gun range, night vision shooting and to flex in my Lambo 😂
I haven't really heard much from GALA, to be honest. I always get nostalgic when I remember Axie Infinity, man! It was top-notch. I'm trying out other games right now. Currently, I'm playing Call of the VoYd on my App Store. It's a mobile-only RPG game where you can unlock powerful characters, pets, and abilities to battle enemies. I really like what I see here. It could have long-term potential.
It's hard to say for sure about memecoin stability on Solana. Community matters, like you said with Popcat. But sometimes even big market cap coins like Mew/Bome can take a hit when Solana dips. Nano-cap coins are even riskier. Yewif might be doing well now, but that could change fast. Call of Voyd by Mystic Games does seem interesting - it's a mobile RPG with NFT and character customization features. However, it's a new project. Definitely DYOR before jumping into any memecoin, including Call of Voyd, to understand their tokenomics and gameplay.
There was another site where you earned BTC by playing some RPG style game. Can't remember the name for the life of me.
I am sticking with ETH and BTC at about 70%. I did do the following FetcAI, Render, RPG, Super and ALU. Also several Reddit that did well .This is cause I thought AI and Reddit would be new themes and gaming may rear its head because it was late in the last bull cycle. I also the trilema and speed is an emerging theme bought SOL and Kaspa. Also zero knowledge rollups may be an emerging thing as well as gambling.
I play the P2E Idle RPG in the "Crypto Faucets App" in the Google Play Store ! I earn USDT straight to my Cwallet, it's amazing ! Get it at : https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=info.cryptofaucets.cryptofaucetsapp The App also have over 100+ platforms to claim free crypto with a notification system and is updated frequently !
I tried one called Fantom Adventure which is a RPG with Monsters. It was alright, but it's also in Beta as far as I understand. I think it can make sense to put something like this on a blockchain because the company behind it could theoretically outsource the cost of storing player data. Since it's on Fantom Sonic Testnet it works great and confirms your transactions (fighting, hatching, training) in less than a second. And since Fantom has something called Gas Monetization which redirects some of the transaction fees (which will be low on Fantom Sonic since it can do at least >2000 Transactions per second) to the smart contract developer it makes sense for a developer to use it.
The send X amount to double/triple/square to X amount scams were huge in Online RPG games Next came Banks........ Watch that space
There's a text based RPG in discord called the Adventurer's guild, that was pretty fun. WAX network
You're not wrong, I just hope they realise this as well and see how best to play to their strengths and compete. It's good that they are still active but I think they need to step up as well. They're launching a mobile RPG later today so we'll have to see what's the reception to that.
tldr; The article discusses the recent developments at Stratis, including the decision to migrate to a layer-one Ethereum blockchain, creating StratisEVM. The community voted in favor of this migration, aiming to accelerate innovation and support gaming and DeFi applications. The article also highlights the release of the game Corgi Dash on Google Play, the update of the RPG game Dawn of Ships, and the upcoming web3 game London Desserts Club. ILV is building something exciting with AAA and FUN is doing same with RPG. Asides gamefi, AI, RWA, SocialFi and other narratives are worth exploring
>I grabbed a couple ILV when they were still sub $50 in the hopes they return to like $1000 or whatever they were last bull. Probably can’t due to tokenomics but that doesn’t stop a man from buying Totally on board with the gamefi. The gamefi space is ripe for a breakout, Funtoken and Illuvium, with its immersive RPG elements, could be the catalyst. The ecosystem's potential, especially if they keep integrating AAA gaming experiences, is massive. We might see an evolution in gamefi where these types of games aren't just about earning but also offer a depth of gameplay that rivals traditional gaming. There are broader interest in RPGs and AAA games though the latter takes a lot of time to build, we could witness a new era in blockchain gaming, blending entertainment with earning potential. Funtoken's recent partnership with Astra Nova has piqued interest from many gamers also
Check out this AVAX OG: DeFiKingdoms and their Jewel token! Micro cap gem under 15m, turn based combat RPG, deflationary tokenomics on the largest AVAX subnet, DFKchain. Not kidding
Anybody else buy some totally sweet forged metal D&D dice to roll a new seed on their Coldcard? I feel like I’ve crossed some line, fantasy RPG nerd meets cryptography tech nerd. Man, maybe I’ll go outside and play some sports or something.
I know of another RPG in the works on Binance chain - check out Mist, which has its $MIST token. Lost Relics is another RPG, that's been out for a while and uses nft loot, though it's on Enjin. The last one I can think of is Legend of Hanzo, which has a $HANZO token and which uses to be Hanzo-Inu - the rpg is supposed to be centered around dog characters nfts. But I was just poking around and I'm not sure it's still an active project? The studio is called Forge 21. These are games I haven't kept up with in a long time, so make sure to DYOR. Lost Relics is for sure legit, though - they've been around a long time, and it's probably the biggest game on Ejin. Good luck!
A multiplayer action RPG for personal computers that merges a fast-combat system with an open game economy based on MOONs where players have an active role in generating and exchanging game items.
I wonder if this is because Coinbase listed an RPG related token today.
tldr; Binance has announced the launch of perpetual contracts for BIGTIME, a multiplayer action RPG game. The contracts will have up to 20x leverage and users can trade them with various margin assets. Binance reserves the right to modify contract parameters based on market risk factors. The BIGTIME token recently launched on Coinbase and has seen a significant rally. *This summary is auto generated by a bot and not meant to replace reading the original article. As always, DYOR.
“According to CoinMarketCap, Big Time is a multiplayer action RPG that combines combat with an open gaming economy that simultaneously leverages very visible Web3 elements. “ Curious if this will bring the hype back for crypto gaming

It’s crazy how posture or poor posture can seriously mess your body alignment up. My nephew’s shoulders are tilted to one side by a good inch or so. On a positive note he would wreck people in Diablo PVP when he was a middle schooler with some of his Diablo builds. I also never seen anyone type that fast in my life, like 120wpm fast. Lol As long as you are paying attention to your posture as you’re playing, you should be good. Balder’s Gate was the first D&D genre game that introduced me to RPG’s like 20 years ago. How is BG3?
I have been thinking of a web shop selling Japanese RPG games and accepting crypto. I wonder if that would be popular.
Hi! Moonland is a blockchain-powered multiplayer RPG that allows players to customize, mint, and trade in-game characters as NFTs, offering a unique gaming experience with an in-game economy and multi-game access within the Metaverse. [Coins.ph](https://Coins.ph) has a coins arcade too for crypto gaming where you can win crypto at metaderby. It is fun and you earn in the process. [https://coins.ph/academy/what-is-coins-arcade/](https://coins.ph/academy/what-is-coins-arcade/)
If I had to guess over time in a bear market especially it can help with lowering your average buy price on something if something happens to go down, also leaves you in a situation where you can consistently buy in, Picture it like this, you have a gun with 30 bullets, or you have a RPG, if you miss the mark with that RPG, no bueno, if you miss the target with 1 out of your 30 bullets, you have 29 more tries to get it right.
It’s tough because play to earn always get messy and an RPG one with NFTs almost seems like overcomplication unless they come out with a great use case or a series of games to use the items(NFTs) across
I think NFTs for games could work in a RPG for certain items being able to transfer them across characters… However this has been done in WoW with Hierlooms items already and didn’t require NFTs so adding them in for this function may be just overcomplicating things
>What are address poisoning attacks in crypto and how to avoid them? Tldr - Hackers are trying to DPS us with poison attacks, its all becoming like a bad RPG
It definitely is the best game I've played in a long time. It has flaws but if you like RPG and Bethesda style, you'll love it.
It's amazingly good. It compares to a good Bethesda RPG game but it's in space. Lots of cool stuff to do.
Some RPG like maplestory would look interesting
If you like TCGs, you could give Gods Unchained a try, it's free to play and available on the Epic Games store. And if you like fighting games, I'd recommend you The king of fighters Arena. It's free to play, graphics are okay, it's available on Android, iOS and PC, and it has around 40 playable characters (like [Mai Shiranui](https://youtube.com/watch?v=NBt82-YzJxQ&feature=share8) ) The same developer of the king of fighters arena (Netmarble) has other 3 blockchain games: Ninokuni cross world, A3 still alive and Meta world: My city. The first 2 ones are RPG games and the last one is a monopoly-like video game. I have tried them and they are not my cup of tea, but maybe you find them fun to play.
But a good game thats fun to play and to watch.. visually. Imagine beautiful RPG's with ingame coins that relate to real world tokens, earning while kicking orc butts. Glorious.
I work as a BD for Ava Labs. Crypto games suck because they are (primarily) built by crypto Devs & good games have a long dev cycle. We are just now starting to see legitimate game devs enter into the industry, as well as seeing Tier1 studios go live with their games. Sending a list of games that I think deserve to be considered as "Good Games": [Shrapnel](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KNTVpHT-Xgk&feature=youtu.be) \- an extraction shooter (think Escape from Tarkov, but on-chain) [Off the Grid](https://www.ign.com/games/off-the-grid)\- a Battle Royale (Neil Blomkamp on as their Chief creative officer) just showcased their trailer at Gamescom [Fableborne](https://www.youtube.com/@fableborne) \- an Action RPG / Base Builder (mobile game going live in January, gotta wait /: ) [Beam Subnet](https://twitter.com/BuildOnBeam) \- a platform for lots of casual to midcore games (built by the team at [Merit Circle](https://meritcircle.io/) and will go live in Q4) be on the lookout for all of their games: \- [Trial Xtreme](https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCpxduVUpUq9nNFmplINCwzQ) \- [Walker World](https://walkerworld.io/) \- [Hash Rush](https://hashrush.com/) \- [Raini - The Lords of Light](https://rtlol.com/) \- [MegaWeapon (live on ETH rn but migrating over)](https://megaweapon.gg/) Lastly, SolertGames.com is building an Avalanche Subnet and deploying lots of their titles on it. The first title being [LegendAtWar](https://legendsatwar.io/) (live today on the App-Store. Off-chain currently as its still in open Alpha) Keep in mind that this is a non-exhaustive list. The takeaway here is - Game Development has long life cycles, so just be patient, good games are coming (:
>Graphics that look like a 1990 chinese knockoff sega games Look at indie games. 90% of them look like this. In fact, many like this and many dev prefer this due to their skill level. I suspect most of the games are made in RPG maker. >Why is Crypto Gaming so bad? It's like the mobile game market. It is getting better on both, but as they are a browser game. Most good developers won't touch that alone. And then adding blockchain stuff on top of that makes it a bit harder. Like most games flat out don't need blockchain. And many crypto games that use it, the game itself isn't on blockchain. The economy in the game is. Or more so, you can transfer crypto in and out of it.
I play Heroes sometimes too, but without heroes you get the RPG games which are great, you get to control the healer, damage nukers all in one, it's far better than relying on others in mmorpgs
I used to play Lost Relics that was really good I just lost interest. There's also upland I've been playing a while. Barely qualifies as a game but you collect properties and they pay out rent. Recently they've released layer 2 games that use your rent as a currency in the those games. Currently hooked on a kingdom management game and considering checking out the text based RPG someone else built. NGL I gave up on it for a while but this whole developers building on it and bringing utility to the currency is really cool to me anyways lol
Gaming mostly these days. Dragon's Crossing is an old-school click-based RPG in which you compete against others, DeFi kingdoms (in development for a long time now) and others
I’m not sure, but I’ll probably never sell. Literally. My brain loves the numbers too much so it’s like an RPG game for me haha 🤘
Finally finished Breath of the Wild after holding off for weeks. Also finally got a somewhat good ending from "A War of a Madman's Making," which is in alpha release and made by a Redditor. It's a dialogue-based RPG where you're thrust into the unwinnable position of leading a deranged dictator's doomed invasion. It was inspired by the game "Suzerain" which is also an absolutely excellent game which I highly recommend if you like chill strategy games, and necessitates several play-throughs as you don't even realize how impactful your actions and decisions are the first time.
Happy birthday to your grandpa! Oh a gamer :D I will go buy ps4 tomorrow after work, I'm really excited for it, haven't played for like 5 years. I want to play the Harry Potter RPG, it looks so cool :D
If you haven't tried NanoBrowserQuest, yet, you totally should. This game is a very fun RPG that showcases the possibilities of Cryptocurrency in the Gaming Industry like nothing else. You can drop XNO by randomly killing monsters or completing quests and instantly withdrawal it into your wallet. You can also deposit XNO to buy special items and equipment. I love this game! I beat the Skeleton King with a friend I made during my playthrough. Very fun, and showcases the true potential of cryptocurrency :\]
This sub. I feel like I discovered a new RPG that pays me. I'm starting to get addicted.
Sorry for hijacking your comment If you like fighting games you could try "The King of Fighters Arena". It's free to play, graphics are okay, it's available on Android, iOS and PC, and it has around 40 playable characters (like [Mai Shiranui](https://youtube.com/watch?v=NBt82-YzJxQ&feature=share8) ) The same developer (Netmarble) has other 3 blockchain games: Ninokuni cross world, A3 still alive and Meta world: My city. The first 2 ones are RPG games and the last one is a monopoly-like video game. And if you like diablo-like video games you could check out "Seraph in the darkness" and "MIR M". P. S. The only one I played is the king of fighters, so I don't know if the other ones are fun or not.
I totally agree! There’s a strategy RPG game being built with the same mentality around blockchain (basically it’s optional). It’s called the Battle for Faenora. They’re coming out with a proof of concept demo soon.
Getting the CDC Rose Gold card is like finding a powerful RPG character upgrade.
You're missing it. The majority of things in-game will not be on chain. The assets/skins for gamers are a great way of giving gamers a sense of ownership in the game itself. If someone chooses to walk away from the game they can sell their skins. Then on the completely opposite spectrum of blockchain, things like Chainlink's VRF can make randomizations in-game completely verifiable. For games like RPG's, that means loot drops on bosses are guaranteed to be random. No trust in the developers are needed.
Also, every type of Pokemon game is perfect for it too. Trading card game? Perfect. RPG? Perfect! Real world treasure hunt kind of thing like Pokemon Go? OMG so perfect.
It feels like a simulation or a RPG, where you can level your character. You start at the bottom, but with time and experience u get better and more powerful 😅 I love Moons and this community.
A long RPG game with game asset, like Final fantasy 7, Zelda and Dragon Quest. I would love to play that and earn crypto.
hahaha, I didn't assign my flair as The Great Australian Shitposter for nothing! Thats okay, in RPG's I usually put extra points in stealth and dexterity rather than charisma. ;)
Maybe they were just trying to be nice and brush you off? My family got internet in 94 and we were playing an online RPG that year. At least in the US pretty much all my friends were using instant messenger by 98. This is to say, the internet was very useful early on and crypto has been useful for speculation, trading ape pictures, and saving some folks from hyperinflation. Crypto tech isn't going to get "better" without becoming super centralized.
> Query overloaded. Restarting level 1. Lmao. I like this strategy - turn random messages into RPG text game.
Yeah I'd agree and gaming is a great example. I'd love to see something like major game achievements minting NFTs - even if that was using account-bound NFTs that aren't trade-able. Then those NFTs could unlock other bonuses (maybe just cosmetics) in other games. Or character generation based on your activity in other games. It's easy to imagine characters with specific traits you've built up in one RPG saved as an NFT and then the data from that NFT being used to create an NPC character in another game. How cool would it be to run into a character you built in an old game 10 years ago? There's ways to make that work without the user even knowing they're interacting with a web3 wallet, but making it a really cool achievement system that you can build up between various games. There's definitely ways to make it work without ruining the game, or draining all the fun out of a game with play-to-earn or pay-to-win mechanics. Hopefully one day!
tldr; Now You Can Create Tunes via Bitcoin With an On-Chain Music Engine In a groundbreaking development, an on-chain music engine called the "Descent Into Darkness Music Engine" has been inscribed onto the Bitcoin blockchain. This engine allows anyone to generate a music track by entering a few keywords, not just the owner of the inscription. The music engine, created by indie developer Ratoshi, has a retro "chiptune" vibe and is intended as a companion to the Descent into Darkness text-based RPG. The innovation behind this music engine is the use of "recursive inscriptions," which allow developers to call data from already-inscribed assets on the blockchain. This significantly reduces storage limitations and costs associated with inscribing on-chain projects onto Bitcoin. The introduction of recursive inscriptions could unlock a wave of innovation within the Ordinals community, enabling the inscription of various media and apps on the Bitcoin blockchain. *This summary is auto generated by a bot and not meant to replace reading the original article. It has good name, good trailer, *respectable* company - and i **FuCKinG LOVE** PvP RPG'S! I really hope im not overly excited - cause i cant stop
I wanted to build a whole RPG NFT experiment in Reddit but the project got out of hand… It will take years.
Fuck scammers, should have RPG'd the car with the scammer inside it
I believe that games in or out of crypto should focus more on the game itself, either through pure fun, competitiveness or a mix of all. If crypto and gains comes along the better. Bottom line we all know how the P2E craze in 2021 finished, right? Regarding innovating games it's though to really create something new. I remember how pokemon games for gameboy were completely zelda inspired. The 2D RPG game plays was really similar as the graphics. There's a crypto game on beta called Elfin Kingdom that's clearly Pokemon-inspired and I even find it cool as a reminder of old days. The mentioned DOTA was the starter coming from the warcraft 3 game engine, which turn into a great game. League of Legends is the copycat there, but it arguably has a better game now (down to personal taste). On chain there's also it's copy or inspiration: League of Ancients. Here don't even the name gets too different... Should be countless examples of this... but in the end of the day, I believe it's perfectly fine.
I guess we all have different coping mechanisms when things get rough. Some find it therapeutic to focus on positive aspects, while others see this as just another hurdle in the battle for financial freedom. Me, personally? I completely withdraw emotionally. Right now I'm playing an old RPG game. Sure my portfolio just took a serious beating, but my in-game character is doing quite well - and that's all that matters right now.
is gaming in an online RPG and trading some in-game items also illegal to you, as long as the landlord pays the bills?
Web 3 and RPG ? HMMMM. I feel like this is an aggressive marketing rather than an AMA. Sry but no.
If someone made a rogue-like RPG like Darkest Dungeon but with NFTs that gradually go insane, I'd play the shit out of it
I've been playing TCG for ages and I have to agree with you! Also like Splinter Lands on the same sort of game. For a more Pokemon-like game Axie Infinity was a pretty decent experience (expensive though) and more recent Elfin Kingdom (still in beta) is adding up the RPG part to it, which IMO is pretty cool. Sandbox is cool too on its own genere.
Now that Ni No Kuni: Cross Worlds game was pretty hyped for a time on mobile. It had cryptocurrency and/or NFTs. I was very surprised to see a beloved Japanese RPG franchise take that route. Then when I found out that Netmarble was the actual developer and Level 5 was just going to be a publisher I knew it might not work. And of course the blockchain side of the game killed it faster than the more traditional pay-to-win cash shop features gamers already complain about. Still! Netmarble has WAY more talent than almost all these developers creating P2E games combined which is sad. Now I’ve seen some things that look appealing but they just don’t play that well. So far there’s really only 3 or 4 things that’s P2E/metaverse-ish that still sucks but you can tell someone is trying: 1) Gods Unchained 2) Decentraland 3) Blankos Block Party 4) Big Time
He would have more if he was early 😔 But yes gaming and crypto are just not there yet. Maybe he thinks it will blow up in future and be like Axie (which is not either a good example of gaming and crypto ) Sure you can make money if you get early i agree but it's just not it. You know... We are way too early. I used to play Blankos and it's not too bad but it's a think collection based with profit. Like they all are. Collect this collect that sell or dump to new guys. What i would like is some kind of FPS or RPG.
