Yay! Now pls pump my altcoin bags. Tho to be fair I sold my ALU at +50% from Jan to Feb so I'm not complaining :) I'm guessing BTC will blow past ATH to \~80k and altseason in roughly 2 weeks.
I am sticking with ETH and BTC at about 70%. I did do the following FetcAI, Render, RPG, Super and ALU. Also several Reddit that did well .This is cause I thought AI and Reddit would be new themes and gaming may rear its head because it was late in the last bull cycle. I also the trilema and speed is an emerging theme bought SOL and Kaspa. Also zero knowledge rollups may be an emerging thing as well as gambling.
Late to the party but whoever gets here wins big: GMEE, ALU and enqAI.
Fwiw, Core Lightning for the last few versions takes advantage of the separate "hsmd" process to have it check the derivation of each address before it's issued/used. This is great if you use VLS or other system where the signer is often separate hardware, but even on the same system, a random bit flip in either the RAM/ALU/registers or the code will get caught (we don't use shared libraries for any of this code). That call to a separate process is expensive in a micro sense, but as you say: it's not statistically significant in any usage. TBH, I added this after a bug report on LND where a change address was bogus and they blamed it on such an issue. I'm always a little skeptical of such claims, but the point is that even with my experience, it took a shot across the bow for me to actually get off my ass and implement it :(
Thus far - yes. This cycle we have a CHANCE of seeing not some small arcade games but actual AAA titles put on blockchain. Illuvium, Shrapnel or Off the grid, to name a few. I think the Investment thesis here is like this: 1. Crypto gaming paving the way to mass adoption providing financial incentives to those already spending their time playing games 2. Crypto gaming creating secondary market for tokenized in-game assets (like rare skins, upgrades, add-ons) for people to trade. It’s all big IF, but imho, average Joe doesnt use blockchain for distributed computing or 2500 transactions per second. He doesnt even care about it (and he’s right, btw). But Joe understands playing games and Joe loves his counter strike skins and lootboxes and if the gameplay is good, the thrill of winning a rare skin is there, and you own your assets and can sell them… That’s what’s appealing and thats whats extending the product’s lifecycle. On the side note, crypto gaming, from investors perspective doesnt need to mean actual gaming titles. You can structure your portfolio around marketplaces like that GMEE (CEO is ex-Google superstar) or some gaming blockchains or some infrastructure projects like gaming SDKs. I personally keep eyes on Altura (ALU) for their discovery of smart NFTs. IF im right it should not matter which crypto game will win the race as long as they use Altura’s IP. Smart NFTs enable in-game lootboxes and merges of two or more assets into an upgrades item (like crafting in tomb rider or TLOU). Does it make sense?

Kaspa to me, is the one that got away 12x this year. Didn't buy because ETH gas didn't warrant a $100 purchase. ALU, Alturra game functionality is worth a small consideration. Also FTM.

My play is definitely a more risky one, but with a lot of potential upside as well. I think gaming cryptos will do very well potentially in the next bull run. I have 8-9 cryptos that I plan on getting at least a 1000 dollars into. These cryptos are Gala, VRA, PYR, UOS, GODS, ALU, SFUND, IMX. I just need 1-2 to really take off to have a crazy large profit and I think there is a high chance that one or two of these coins could do it. Probably will put emphasise putting more into Gala, PYR, and VRA as I think these are the safer bets out of the ones listed.

Buying BTC only pumps someone elses bags, its the truth. $1000 BTC now becomes $2000 when it his 66k wow. $1000 in ALU at .02 becomes $15000 when it hits .30.

Blockchain implementation may have a slow start, but will have an absolute exponential (dare i say vertical growth) once the manufacturing early adopters have enough data to publish their findings.
