Depends what context you are talking. Does it stop a top 500 MC coin from entering the top 100 - nope. Does it stop a top 10-20 coin from getting towards 15% of BTC MC - absofuckinglutely. It’s more like drag, and the better the project, the less drag it has. Lunacy (sheer force) can get a coin to well outperform it’s fundamentals (DOGE, SHIB, SAITAMA) but in the end mathematics kicks in and it becomes impossible to go much higher

I made 140k on SAITAMA
Trying to sell a bullshit coin…. I put $4000 into a bad coin that went up to $18k and then almost overnight dropped to nothing. It’s been sitting in my wallet forever now and I’d like to swap it to ETH but the balance is only $75 which is barely enough for gas fees… What are my options? The coin is SAITAMA
So for this. I started with $10 in btc coin free from Mogo. I transferred it to my bank than binance from there I bought shib is sent up a bit I sold it. Ended up making $235 from shib trades. Than I sent it to metamask because binance was no longer serving Ontario. I bought some shit coins made some money not much. Than I invested 225 in to SAITAMA. When SAITAMA reached ath I made 6 figures. If I had have pulled out before the Vegas event I would have made high 6 figures. But as I was doing everything on an older iPhone I didn’t let me cash out couldn’t get anything to load. So I jumped on my pc the next day and pulled out what I could. I invested the profits in to stocks through wealth simple auto trading. And kept some. Bought more shit coins got rugged 3 times got some nfts. Now I am just loving the moons. Aside from that I have a few tokens doing well.

Hoping this run I can come out on top and pull some profits and buy in some more I got screwed huge on Ly and SAITAMA but that was my own fault I seen the peak and kept holding went from 6 figures to thousands during my 6 hour sleep. Was so pissed but my fault. Ly I bought an hour after listing and it literally dumped as my transaction went through. I wasn’t even mad I just laughed at my stupid move

That's how i started investing in crypto. Back in 2020 I did a 75/25 BTC/ETH split. I am glad it did both did really well. Then last year i started adding lower market cap coins like CRO, ADA, ALGO, SHIB, SAITAMA, etc. and readjusted the BTC/ETH split to 50/50

One of my first places learning about Crypto was this all female Crypto group, and for some reason SAITAMA was super hot there, they were always pushing it. They've since moved on to Bezoge and I've since left them, they're way too willing to participate in pump and dump for their own gain to be trusted for info. But one thing I do like about SAITAMA is the reflections; with every transaction a certain percentage is burned (I believe it's 2%) and another percentage (I believe 1%) are redistributed to all the holders. I'm overall down in Saitama but have gained a lot of coins passively. I believe only certain exchanges or wallets allow reflections to accrue, such as LBank. They have a dApp coming out soon called Saitamask that should be great for the coin, provided it delivers. Saitama is also a pain to buy right now, which can be good because it hasn't pumped yet simply because most people struggle to get it. What I dislike about Saitama is the massive amounts of coins in circulation, even with the burn mechanism it's going to take a ton of transactions to get the supply to reasonable level. I also dislike that it's an ETH token and subject to ETH gas fees; it's a major deterrent and there's too much competition on cheaper blockchains. I'm currently holding but not adding to my collection, I think it's a legit project but may be out-competed by other coins
Totally respect that, that's what I'm doing these days. With SHIB, I felt like I was past it's pump when I bought in, and I wanted to use that capital elsewhere. However I'm also in SAITAMA and I think it has a way to go, even though I'm down in it I'm not even gonna touch it

SAITAMA I actually don't think it's a bad project, I'm just tired of Eth gas fees and would rather not be in those tokens.
