There is little adoption, most at ridiculous conversion rates etc. Bitcoin has been around for years now which is a long time in tech. Still there has been very little adoption into real payment transactions and people just buy into this asset they later want to trade for fiat with a profit. Your point about the grid going down and people not having electricity is a good one. It’s the one thing that detracts from bitcoins value(in my mind). There will (eventually) be a scenario where phones and computers are useless and no one can use bitcoin. In that scenario- gold is KING.
