Lightening Network exists so your point is moot. High fees only exists if you’re trying to transact ON CHAIN. It’s wild the number of people who are in Bitcoin who don’t understand that Bitcoin is NEUTRAL. It doesn’t care if you’re a nation state, individual, or institution, everyone gets treated the same by the protocol. It’s pure capitalism and if you don’t agree with capitalism, you shouldn’t be invested in Bitcoin. Miners will choose the transaction that best benefits them, you have to pay to play. That is the system that incentivizes miners choosing the Bitcoin network. Another issue that you are ignoring is that these high fees create an incentive for a developers to create a SOLUTION to that problem. Lightening needs competition regarding low fee Bitcoin transactions. The more the fees increase the more L2 will pop up to solve that problem. As I said before, you’ve had 14 years of low ON CHAIN fees, if you or someone else didn’t take advantage of it that’s on you. The block subsidy is decreasing and miners must remain profitable. If Kraken doesn’t use Lightning then use Cash App.

How do you see this playing out? Will your kids really want to pay $100 to make a transaction when the hashrate is volitile? To accomplish what exactly? Imagine a scenereo where your kids and grandkids had access to secure BTC blockspace regardless of the fee they paid, like you experience today, wouldn't that be genuinely better for Bitcoin EVEN IF you never get to dump artificially scarce coins onto kids? Halvings aren't like that bug which minted billions of BTC, that everyone can just agree on rolling back the chain to fix it. If BTC gets put into an unprofitable spot, which it mathematically must at some point, it will spark a war of ideologies.. except there won't be any time to do that, after the fact. If mining becomes unprofitable its hashrate will be as volitile as the price was initially, artificial scarcity rose the price of BTC and artificial hashrate suppression can crash the hashrate just the same. If BTC becomes susceptible to a 51% attack while 10% of today's miners are hardly breaking even, the other 90% ex miners can practically *own* BTC at little cost at which point it requires cost ie losses to mine honestly, to maintain integrity. People will not spend 2 BTC on minting 1 BTC just to ensure a ledgers integrity which no one is even using.. If BTC wallets start getting drained by a quantum computer in 6-7 years, all integrity is already lost, little matters after especially as it takes 1-2 years to mitigate. Ponzinomics doesn't mean ponzi. Ponzi is explicitly fraud. Ponzinomics aren't fraudulent but have ponzi-traits otherwise, and are unfortunately very typical in tech or startups. I prefer [ProtonDEX](https://ProtonDEX.com), very fast, no gas fees, extremely low trading fees, not many trading pairs yet but they have a great API that allows you to make trades ON CHAIN and without an API key. You may also need to install some dependencies firs: pip install web3 bip-utils eth-account If you run into problem when installing the web3 library then maybe try install Microsoft C++ Build Tools. Change the max threads and retries to whatever amount you like. If you're lucky and hit the one with balance it will stop and outout the mnemonic with the right order to you. Keep in mind the chance are 1 over 24!, so it's really all about luck.

Is it cheap? Can I stake it? Cheap to me is a combination of market cap and token max supply, newer projects I'd expect to pay less for Staking is the big one, if I can stake ON-CHAIN (don't get me started on Cex's calling it 'staking') then my goal is to get the coin staked and earning me a return. I don't care that I'm only earning 6% off $10 worth, a few bull runs later and that $10 could be worth millions, like the $20 of bitcoin that bought that pizza a decade ago, that $20 is now worth multiple millions, love to be getting 6% off that!

DASH is the best way to remain decentralized. No need for "layer 2", it gives scaling and speed on base chain. The point of crypto is a record of txes. Lightning gets rid of this. So it is against crypto. In DASH masternodes (full nodes with proof of havin' 1000 DASH) are PAID. So ya concerns don't apply to us. We can scale ON CHAIN

This is the only post worth reading here. Love how all these people think that since it's not at the ATH that the coin is dead. Easy to see these people only care about how much $ they can make on a pump and dump. How about these people understand, or take 1 min to actually research what Solana actually is. Austin Federa head of strategy was on a podcast Feb 7 stating the Solana chain has more developers and unique users USING THE CHAIN than ever before. I bought the majority of my bag during the previous bull run. Lowered my average buying prices of BTC, ETH, ADA and CHAIN the last couple of months. I will set some sell targets once the prices of the previously mentioned cryptos reach my average buying price. It's very important to take profits. I didn't do this last time. AAVE when it was like #500 for market cap (ETHLend). There were only 3 DeFi projects in existence at the time (AAVE, SALT and Elixir) and I didn't pick the right one. Elixir didn't even become a DeFi project in the end. Fantom, again when it was like #500 for marektcap. The Elixir "successor" was set to be one of the first projects on there but I never really looked into it. I only thought "WHY ARE WE LAUNCHING ON THIS NOTHING CHAIN?" Am now In UniDex, which has since gone 10x+ since its low, which I only caught the tail end of. I've had it bookmarked since its inception, always thought the general idea of it was really good, and always thought the chart looked bullish... but never bothered to look into it properly. Only when it went crazy did I try. It was always the "one" I wanted to look into properly, but this bull market sneaked up on me. God I suck. 😔 Still EXTREMELY bullish on UniDex though. Moral of the story: Look at things when they're mentioned, think, and don't dismiss them. I'd say these are the closest I've ever come.
