We need to talk about GYNA: the land of low P/E megacap

There are some funds that follow a modified S&P500 stock list. They give each fund in the index an equal rating. So and equal ammount of money is placed in each of the 500 stocks. RSP and GSEW are two examples. You could also invest in total market index funds like VTI holds 3,500 US companes instead of just 500. Oryou could go with VT which holds 10,000 US ad foreign companes.
GSEW and EUSA are equal weighted indexes with low expense ratios. So LILY and JP Morgan have the same weight as Nvidia and Google. However over 5 year + periods these will likely underperform VOO or SPYM. S&P index funds drop companies that shit the bed and reallocate for you.
Any long term people here dabble with GSEW or RSP?
GSEW equal weights all the companies in the S&P 500 so it's not overly weighted in the biggest companies, ie tech.
Or just do GSEW and be safe if you can't deal with loss.
GSEW has less invested into meme stocks. VOE is statistically higher returns historically as a midcap value.
Its just an index produced by a corporation which is the top stocks across various markets. You buy either the S&P500 standard like VOO, or S&P500 equal weighted like GSEW; which is not heavily weighted to speculative growth stocks like VOO is.
50% GSEW and 50% EDV, until rates fall, then 100% GSEW. If you want to prep for a recession.
