Markets are very stretched here, tech even more so. Can’t buy index puts yet however. Still too much momo. Also, been checking out a micro cap company HCMC. Operates a chain of healthy grocery stores back East. Stock price is basically nothing. Sales are up huge and they are acquiring more stores. Maybe worth a look. A bang for your buck opportunity maybe fir a long term play.
Bought some AAPL puts, due to the continuing losses in partner revenue and initially that trade looked bleak. Now, not so much. Anyone heard of HCMC? It looks like a small, East Coast health focused grocer chain that is acquiring stores and has seen a massive revenue increase YOY. It’s a penny stock, but we’ve seen what’s been happening with these meme plays. Could HCMC be one? So cheap.
Funny. I kept hearing about how HCMC shareholders would be getting shares of HCWC but I never got any. Yea the company was super active but now it’s like they don’t even exist. Not like I lost much, but damn if those shares would be worth at least enough that I could sell them and get them off my portfolio that would be nice.

This fucker has no idea what traffic in Vietnam is. HCMC has 18 million scooters. And you suggest a fucking suv? I’ve taken smaller busses than that in coutryside. I mean where the fuck would you even get 100 liters 95 octane?
This is correct. I don't imagine many US car models would be very appealing, most certainly not to the Vietnamese working class who generally get around on roads that are only a metre wide woven between rice paddies connecting villages together. You only see large (by Asian standards) vehicles in HCMC and large cities where the very wealthy class live or as hotel cars for tourist transport.

Actually they love everything that’s American. You could literally sell a rock to them if it’s “Made in USA” carved on it. The upper class there think nothing about throwing down half a million dollar or more for a car. I’ve never seen Rolls Royce and Bentleys on a regular basis until I lived in HCMC (spent 15 yrs working there). Ferraris and Lambos are common at famous cafes and restaurants. There’s a whole generation of people gotten rich due to real estate and they love showing off. As for Trump, he got his hotel/resort there and the government will waive the regulations that are normally imposed on everyone else. This post makes me so nostalgic for the first lockdown in 2020. My first ever investment was HCMC, I popped £3 on it and sold a month or so later for £150… I have never been able to replicate that success
I lost over 5K on HCMC but thankfully made the loss back up from RR as I’d bought that in at 0.91 and sold at 3.50 which covered losses elsewhere. Looking at that is fucking scary
There was some evidence of a possible short squeeze as others have noted, but not nearly as clear as it was with GameStop. Most people I knew that bought AMC were people that got FOMO after missing out on GameStop and found GameStop’s price at the time to be too high to invest in. There were a number of stocks I saw people in my life invest in at the time that were obviously pump and dumps with fake DD claiming a huge price shift was coming. HCMC comes to mind.
Just little things here and there, sometimes reddit sometimes just a glance at a news article of "hey look at this stock for x company" do some digging see what's happening and boom. I've also lost a FUCK load on long shot penny stocks. $1500 into HCMC 😂😂😂 $2K INT VGFCQ and TTCFQ
Sheer dumb stupid luck, I have made plenty of bad investments, TCBP, TTCFQ, VGFCQ, HCMC where I lost 99.9999% of my investments. My biggest mistake was doubling down when they dipped hard....

ADYEN. Bought a few weeks ago because it had a high financing cash flow and ROIC, meaning there was a high chance of rapid earnings growth. It went up 20% the next day. On the other hand, there's ASTS. Heard about them super early on, right as the big rally was starting. Didn't buy because they were still way down from their ATH and the name sounded like a pump and dump, and I thought it would end up like YTEN, HCMC or AUVIQ (ASTS had a much larger market cap than the others but it had all the other indicators of a pump-and-dump. I now know that large companies don't pump and dump as quickly and they keep their momentum for longer.) Then it reached an ATH and I no longer thought it was a pump-and-dump but I did think I had missed out on the big gains. Then it kept going up and then on Monday, I bought £100 worth and it went up 25% before crashing 10% yesterday and hitting my trailing stop loss, making me a 10% profit overall. I then moved the money into LUNR and am up around 18.5% on that so far. But that profit wasn't surprising because I was just riding the momentum. What was surprising was how much profit I would've gotten if I'd bought in when I first heard about them.
Does less than a penny count? 😆 HCMC. Seemed better choice than Crypto. Actual Brick & Mortar, Healthy food Grocery stores, Vitamin line, Vape product Patent & Wellness Centers. They are doing a spin off & will result in being awarded shares of new company. Not s broke company, but huge float & price sitting at0.0001.😩 Pathetic, & BOD is radio silent. But, I still believe.

Visited HCMC recently and they use it for EVERYTHING. the delivery is usually pretty cheap too and pretty quick atleast in the area I was in. The banking aspect could be interesting since almost everyone is a small business owner in one way or another.
HCMC, IGEN, HGEN. Only put $50-100 in each and they tanked so hard I'm not even bothering to sell. Eventually I expect they'll just disappear

True, I just have watched so many penny stocks do their run, it lasts about 1 day, and then crashes back to reality. There are outliers that jump even more, maybe last a few more days, but end up in the same spot eventually. Look at FFIE, that one surprised me. I got in on day 2 at 1.78 because it kept going up, figured I had probably screwed myself, but it kept going. I sold at 2.78, figured that run was done. But, I took my gains, still made a profit. Ended up going to 3.75 ish, so I could have made more, but then it crashed back and now sits around 1.30. I guess I've watched my gains crash enough times in penny stocks that I have a low level of trust in them, and hate watching others lose their gains, then triple, quadruple down and end up holding a bag. I did it with HCMC 3 years ago, I will probably always hold that bag as a reminder. Just don't forget to take your gains at some point, I guess is what i'm rambling about. Good luck out there!

I found a penny stock called HCMC that constantly bounces up 10,000% and back down to almost zero, it has been doing this since April 2023. It's OTC but using a broker like Interactive Brokers (which has HCMC listed on their website) surely wouldn't be too risky. The biggest problem would be trying to sell when you're up because of low volume but surely you could sell halfway up at 5000% gain. I know this is too good to be true but I don't see where the catch is.
I have some zeros (HCMC and MAXX), I know and a handful down 50-80% when I played around with pennys first dipping my toes in. IPO's are still a bit strange to me on how the stock reacts. Some take off like a rocket and some nosedive after a day or two and take years or never recover to that IPO so figured I'd ask for opinions.
I only have 1 penny stock on TD and I can't even sell it because the fee is more than it's worth 😂. It's down like 97% or something. HCMC it was.

Not a firm no, but there are cases out there yes especially OTC market. Look at HCMC. Stuff with previous CTOs, etc. if you’re buying reputable names, you’ll be fine

HCMC was a trip zero with like 300 billion shares if I remember correctly… and the only movement on it was from reddit/twitter pumps. Those plays were, are, and always will be TRADE ONLY (do not invest and marry). Sonendo is a legit company, with a real product, that did 45mil rev in 2023, and was on NYSE in November. I posted multiple times at lower entries than where it sits now, but got drowned put by the BETS posters. If you enter a stock thats up 300% and aren’t ready for a bit of downward movement (consolidation) you need to be investing in AAPL. Running from .05 to .40 and settling at .20 isn’t failing, its called consolidation. They are a great buyout and private equity candidate. Their marketcap is a fraction of their yearly rev. Please don’t compare it to HCMC because thats tremendously irresponsible and quite honestly idiotic.
I mean you can hold you got in at a good price some of us jumped in from your last post and we have no choice but to bag hold. I really hope this unicorn works out for you, and people didn’t “miss the boat to get caught up in the propellers “ lol. The last one I hitched my wagon to a few years back was HCMC , because of a lawsuit , and we see where that’s at now 2 years later.
