Yes...if it's a biotech/healthcare penny stock...90% of them are pump and dumps. I thought people knew better to not hold onto it since it is in that industry. ADAP and IXHL and HCTI and some other one I can't remember right now were/are all pump and dumps. Downvote me if you want, but I am right.

Momentum and trend support is your main focus. Short terms catalysts are very important as well, they more often than not lead to excessive hype, lot of buys, and might dump before or on the expected catalyst news, aka sell the news. Some notable stocks: Open(being mentioned in reddit million times a day, already up a lot from $0.5), HCTI after RS, PBM a month and half after RS, ICU during sep october 2023, ALZN, CING, MNPR(all those three i picked during may june 2024 and the catalyst ran hard afterward). Forgot to mention, that picking a stock after RS could be a good thing, as the float is tiny(careful from dilution) and the stock moves fast on both ways, that's assuming there is some hyped news on the way...
Bro, you are probably cooked, in early and mid July the stock had some nice $.03 - $.05 intraday moves, and with a volume buy, you could make a little quick scalp money, but just look around at all the recent reverse splits, like HCTI, NCNA, and all the rest, it is usually not pretty after the RS

What caused HCTI to jump so high AH?
Great earnings call. But people here tend to be vibe investors, which can be a valid way to invest if you have strong emotional intelligence. I apparently am not the brightest with that. Did great with IXHL, HCTI, and ADIL then yolo’d those gains into voyager calls 😅 I just stick to real investing from here on out. Although might have vibe checked INTS and PHGE, although PHGE is more of an investment because I know a guy who was talking about phages and how they are already used overseas but we can’t use their research to advance ours for national security reasons. But they will be essential when antibiotic resistant bacteria become even more prominent. It’s just a matter of getting the right company and timing it right.
I'd stay away - they can drop another $50 million shares at a moment's notice, along with a reverse split (unless there's some godly pump to $1) Reverse splits have been particularly brutal lately - recent examples being HCTI and NCNA. They are reporting final clinical results on 8/15 (I believe purely academic, not FDA/regulatory reporting) so there is near-term catalyst potential but the pre-approved dilution and reverse split is too risky IMO
this was exactly the argument that people used last time I warned people that HCTI was gonna do a RS -- got me banned from their echochamber subreddit in fact, obviously HCTI proceed to have a RS exactly as announced on IBKR
Brokers like IBKR gets notified about these things earlier than official releases. Happened with HCTI too, in which case the IBKR notification came a few days before the official announcement.

For a recent example, HCTI did their reverse split on 8/1 with no catalyst (unless I missed it), and it's already down ~30% Not saying that will happen to NCNA (nobody truly knows) but just for perspective as I'm seeing comments that it can't drop any further
For a recent point of reference, look at HCTI after the August 1st reverse split. NCNA can still sink some more
Last year FFIE I held for only a few days, squeezed like hell in a matter of like 3 days which was awesome. This year I held HCTI for like 2 months or so before it went to $0.08.

Yeah and unlike NCNA which is delaying its split, I believe HCTI expedited it lol. This at least indicates that NCNA has faith in itself.
Everything taken into consideration I see your point of view, this does seem to have a chance of being different than typical set ups where a reverse split is on the horizon. HCTI essentially had nothing going for it and even expedited their reverse split. NCNA at the very least has a chance with potential catalysts, so hopefully it turns out differently for those in it.
Just like HCTI, investing in NCNA is no different than taking a blowtorch to your money

After the peak of HCTI and having "almost" emerged safe before the split, I threw myself into these: NVNI, CASK, BITF and DPRO. In my opinion they are very promising.
Yep it's becoming talked about more. I think something is happening considering it just had 6 million off-exchange shorts hit today which is very rare for a penny stock, and it delayed its reverse split which is also very rare (HCTI did the opposite and expedited its RS). I think we may get some major news soon like a merger, new drug, FDA backing.

You just bought 1000 shares at 2.37. In a matter of a little over a week. It’s down to 96 cents. Now you standing there looking in the mirror saying damn to yourself. With a 5th of Henn. Ain’t shaved in a month. Messed up cycle. I did got lucky a couple times with HCTI and Klto. Pumped and dumped both them before it went down

I appreciate your optimism, but I’ve only been on Reddit for two months and already I’ve witnessed OPEN, HCTI, IXHL - there is a pattern here to discern - the great news that we are all looking for and expecting to drive the stock to the moon never comes and when it does, it doesn’t drive the stock to the moon, it drives the price down like it’s been doing with IXHL, I don’t say stay away, but I say get in and out for what you can get, that’s just a reality of the game right now - I made $250 on HCTI last week, lost about $50 on them this week, I’m good because that’s what the system allows right now
Lost my profits and dipped hard with HCTI and just saw all trading has been halted on RH. I only started playing around on RH this year and looking for some info, advice, etc on this matter. Anyone held a volatile penny stock that's been halted? Obviously I can't do anything now, but how bout when it's going again? Hold or run with what I still have left?
Tom and Jerry, aw I miss those two😥… onto your question, take what I say with a grain of salt because I’m only two months in, the best way to play penny stocks is to find a reliable source of signal stocks, this is the only way that I’ve been able to get into a stock literally minutes before it runs up, scalp it for profit, and go on with my day , trying to play TNFA, HCTI, and IXHL with the hold for good news strategy takes something that’s risky and multiplies the risk exponentially - as you’ve learned through your own experience, you will be holding more bags than a bellhop at the Ritz Carlton in New York City!
I started not too long ago. Had some money sitting in my savings account. I gradually moving all of that into stocks, namely MVIS and OPTT. They barely moved while i held them for 2 months. Then I decided to sell MVIS at a loss and buy GVH. 70% of my savings got moved to GVH. I was dead sure it will take off. ChatGPT convinced me I was thinking like "smart money". RS happened, 1-for-200. 50% of my savings got wiped out in an instant. I bought other stocks in an effort to recover my losses. Everything I touched turned to ash. I had sold OPTT at breakeven price. And then it skyrocketed. Earnings report was approaching. A positive ER. I moved even more money to buy OPTT at a premium price. It instantly fell. I incurred even more losses. I bought GIBO at 0.049. Held for a week. It dropped every day. A few days after I sold at a loss, it skyrocketed, crossing 0.1. I bought HCTI at 0.27, and sold at 0.43 (stop order went through), the only positive gains I've made in stocks. After I sold, it went up much higher. I bought IXHL, and ended up losing $600 even on a stock that most made money on. Ever since I started trading pennystocks, I've lost 50% of my total savings. Even now my money is tied up in TNFA. If that fails, I'll be down to 10% of my total savings. And all this within a matter of 2-3 months.
