AUR is worth $13B. KDK is worth $750M. Both run driverless semis, and KDK targets highway driver out in December... ($KDK DD)

I'd look into this [DD posted this week](/aur_is_worth_13b_kdk_is_worth_750m_both_run) on AUR/KDK before going full send on the CDL career. Freight drivers might be waxed within the next 5-10 years

I find most “Reddit Stocks” to be even more speculative than your list. I think “Automation” as a grouping is eventually going to have another moment, and in true Reddit fashion there a lot of the public companies who have no real business yet, but a good story. Some examples: AUR, KDK, MRLN, & Agility (via CCXI).

automated trucks are here already. They're in production with several auto makers and the leaders are finishing up the required safety steps regulation requires to get them on the road mainstream. They'll be on the highways in some capacity outside of testing come 2027. It will take some time to really capture market, but not having a driver means faster ship times and one less relatively large expense. There've been a couple deep dives on WSB about AUR and KDK, both of which should start taking some market share in this space sooner than later. If anything, the high diesel prices will push companies in that direction. If I were a driver, I'd think about selling my cab or moving into something else.

in what way am I not backing it up? I have literally provided a body of factual evidence across 3000+ words >Even if it's the same runway, think about the difference in development and scaling that can be achieved by spending 1b vs 130m. That alone is an 8x gap. not at all, what it does show is the difference in approach KDK has taken to AUR, likewise Waabi is taking a very different approach to both KDK and AUR and is wholly relying on AI simulation to drastically reduce development costs (if their solution works that is) >Aurora is already much farther ahead in scaling, going from hundreds to thousands rather than from tens to hundreds. by which you mean AUR target 200 trucks by end of year and then 300 more next year? KDK will have 100 trucks by end of next year with just 1 customer deployment, there will be more >The biggest difference is how much more extensive the compute and sensing stack on Aurora trucks is. again you are taking AUR's approach and declaring it "the only way this can work", which is very wrong imo >On highway is simply harder than off highway, despite Kodiak saying it will be an easy transition. Aurora is already there. in your opinion...KDK have been doing supervised for 7 years on highways, with multiple million miles driven, their CEO has re-stated time and time again this year that driver out happens in December, and I have no reason to doubt him

KDK is trash and AUR is going to be of those stocks a la RKLB where people will cry in 1 or 2 years why they haven't bought it. /r/AURstock

You don't seem to understand what I am saying...it can be priced higher and I acknowledge they are ahead - my point is they do not deserve a valuation 17x ahead for a non exclusive OEM partnership, less revenue than KDK and roughly likely the same numbers of trucks on the road in 2027...

I’m bullish on Aurora, but I don’t view autonomous trucking as winner-take-all at all, and neither does Aurora’s CEO. The TAM is enormous, and there’s room for multiple companies to operate thousands of trucks across different fleets, lanes, OEMs, and geographies. Aurora has some meaningful advantages today, scale, capital, driver-out operations, and OEM relationships, but that doesn’t mean Kodiak can’t build a very valuable business alongside them. If KDK executes on Atlas, highway driver-out, and fleet expansion, the valuation gap is absolutely worth watching. I’d much rather see multiple companies prove the model and expand the market than assume one company has to own the entire thing.

I mean: * they're both in bed in some way with Nvidia, neither is financially backed by Nvidia * both balance sheets are generally healthy - AUR has $1bn ish in cash and burns that per year...KDK has about $130m in the bank and burns that per year...

Market is expecting merger to not consummate based on this warrant pricing... but totally agreed I think warrants should be dollars if this goes through, KDK warrants at $0.56 exercisable at KDK = >$2billion, PlusAI warrants via CCIX were >$1 last year while the valuation was 50% higher

Wow this company again lol.. Well.. at least $TVA / $TVACW → PlusAI is coming in around an **\~$800M valuation**, vs industry leader $AUR at **\~$11B+** and $KDK around **\~$700M**. Obviously not apples-to-apples, but $TVACW around **$0.30 after the DA selloff** has me wondering if there’s some opportunity here. Curious what everyone thinks??

Yeah. I saw that as well, but I’m still planning to take a flyer on KDK. The team has worked for Tesla, Waymo, etc and repeatedly said they plan to go go fully driverless on highways in December. They are already driverless, but only in industrial. I’ll throw a grand in KDK and see what happens in Q3 - rather risk losing it than kick myself for missing the climb.

Not sure I agree. Autonomous trucking looks like a great opportunity and likely to succeed. KDK expects to go fully driverless by December. I think it’s gonna 🚀. Their competition (AUR) has a market cap of 11B. KDK is under 1M

Any thoughts of Kodiak AI (KDK)? Looks like a perfect microcap

Buying Kodiak AI (KDK) on the cheap tomorrow! Big pullback and microcap. Autonomous trucking will be huge!
