Yeah it's a gamble, but I rarely buy warrants above a dollar. In September I bought AGC 2024 @ 10 Leaps for $3 and those sold for $8 this week, while the warrants maxed out at $6. KVSB June @ 10 Calls bought at $2.40 ten days ago sold for $7 six days later. Taking those winnings and trying the same play one more time on FTCV.
$KVSA - Valo Health. This thing will run just like KVSB. Khosla is a legend in silicon valley with one of the best rep's out there. Load up now or miss out when this merges next week.
I'm kinda curious after KVSB doing well, but do you think KVSA will get any publicity or retail interest? Doesn't seem like they would, which I think was key to KVSB's success. Also it's pre-revenue, right? Feel free to share your bull case if you have one
When I heard the 4B valuation for KVSB I thought it was a fair price. I see it as a very attractive acquisition target so I don't see Nextdoor cratering to the single digits. Facebook is market cap is almost 1T, I'm not saying they are the same but it's not hard to envision Nextdoor growing to a 20B cap from here.
Ah, yeah. I wasn’t involved in that one, but I’m familiar, and it was definitely more complicated. With SPACs, it’s just a private company merging with a cash trust, which has already IPOd/listed. The ticker change for KVSB —> KIND (Nextdoor) happened today, for example. You can check the option chain to see that positions carry over seamlessly. There is however sometimes a 1-2 day delay with the ticker change, depending on your broker.

Sold all my Nextdoor shares above $15 - had to call my broker b/c it was still KVSB and the market sell was taking it's sweet time (pending) or else I would have sold at 17. ​ Use some of the proceeds and bought GGPI shares around 11.15 - still holding GGPI warrants under $2 Hope I did it right
I'm actually really happy about this. I had about 65k in debt this year. I made 68k on BKKT earlier but still owed 25k in taxes, so I tried to get back in and make it, making a newbie move of buying at the top the next day and lost 34k because I paper handed when it tanked instead of waiting for it to recover. So then I took some money out and paid off some of my debt, still having about 51k left to pay off. I put the rest into 20C March call options for KVSB around 0.75C per contract, bought 490 of them, and sold 390 of them for 2.15 earlier today automatically. (Had a limit order...) I was going to ride out the remaining 100 until March, but I was like NAH, and sold the rest for 2.60 each. Now, after I pay off my debt and set aside taxes, I've got like 17k in profit to play with. Planning on rolling something again to make 50k to 100k in profit, so I have some in savings and some new down payment on a car/SUV money.
KVSB completes the merger with Nextdoor, lists as KIND and goes up 30%. Whats that about? KVSB has been trading forever, the merger has been announced forever, and it just jumps 30% today because it happened?

My KVSB has been replaced by a string of numbers - I'm guessing the new CUSIP for the new ticker (KIND). I can't make any pre-market trades on the CUSIP placeholder. Hopefully it changes soon because I want to sell some covered calls this AM if the price action is good.
hmmm wonder how my extremely poorly timed bailing on PTRA after months of holding will turn out 12.5 PM for PTRA currently and my entry was 10.9 10.3 entry for KVSB and shares are 11.12 but i bought 25% more than my PTRA. COME ON NEXTDOOR!!! this will be an interesting despac match up (in my head)

Many people say she had more to do with their growth than Jack Dorsey did. She was the rock star CFO who built out the Cash App, her vision was to make the Cash App do everything for people that their banks do. That was her vision, Nextdoor stole her away a couple of years ago to run the business. I was an early investor in Square and watched her progressed through the ranks, and now she is CEO of Nextdoor. Yeah, I can't overemphasize the value of good management in my investment thesis just in general. Sarah Friar, I would probably have bought any company they made her CEO of."

Think of this as nothing more than a change in the ticker symbol. One day the ticker is KVSB and the next it is KIND. No correction, no changes in the number of shares you own. BTW, the change in ticker is not instantaneous. Depending on your broker it may take a few hours to a couple of days.
I think you can still buy KVSB. I believe today or by the end of today it will be KIND.

KVSB has been broadcasting everyday that folks could unredeem their shares by EOD yesterday. There were still 5% of the shares that could choose to unredeem as of yesterday morning.
A lot of the ones you mentioned already merged and have pretty big floats 10M+ (SWBK, RTPY, KVSB). Out of the upcoming mergers LIII and VOSO seem to be the most likely (I think they will have over 85% redemptions considering their targets)
eh i look on here a lot. see if something is interesting and research it. KVSB is a recent example where i thought about it for a while then looked up the posts and through the filings. Other times (such as BTTX) i look and go oh shit guess im going in too! ironically i always make more money on plays i don’t think about much most detective work i’ve done is probably on RCHG and LFTR. LFTR has a really nice team and that’s why it’s my biggest warrant holding

KVSB isn't hyped. I like it but it's not hyped so it's just another long term play imo. Might hit $20 at some point but i don't think it's quite worth that. But then again it's worth more than $7 for sure. I think it's priced about right.

This KVSB price action is so puzzling to me. Who is content with selling KVSB for barely above $10 when all the other near NAV “cool” SPACs are $10.80+ and the SPAC market is generally hot again? Are these arbs de-risking since NAV floor is gone?

Another good vote... $KVSB Khosla II pre-announces redemptions of approximately 13%. Expects to close Nextdoor transaction on Nov. 5th. They can unredeem until Thursday at 4pm. Figure this doesn't do much until then unless volume takes off.
The deadline for redemption itself was Friday, but typically SPACs now give until the last trading day before the ticker change for reversal. For instance, here's an example from KVSB, whose redemption deadline was also Oct 30 and ticker change on Nov 5. ***$KVSB sets redemption withdrawal for Nextdoor deal Nov 4, 5.3 million shares redeemed (12.7%)*** Similar reversals also happened with $SABS and $RDBX (though RDBX reversal was pretty small, only like 0.4M)

I think that KVSB loses the floor today. Merger is on November 2nd. Moreover, seconds before close was a large arb buy.
$KVSB is dangerously close to NAV and floor gets removed on Friday. I have a large position in it but I'm planning to sell half of my position end of today. I think it may drop in the short term (ticker change shenanigans) and I'll be ready to average down if it does. If it doesn't dip, I'll be happy too. Learnt my lesson on IONQ. Had a full sized position at $10, sold at a loss for $8 (to buy CANO at 12.50 😞) and missed the ride up. Had I only had half my position, I believe I would have averaged down

I believe it might not last, but we have a wave of very very strong companies on the balance sheet AND recognition wise going public a la CND, AGC, FTCV, SEAH, KVSB ( many more, sorry I'm just pumping the spacs I own that I think are great! ) These all sort of DA'd post SPAC boom, so we are just reaching the cycle of pre euphoria, so maybe this winter (Dec Jan Feb) will be the same cycle of spac dubs and we should cut our gains and hibernate into preDA under the security of NAV

Looking at WE price action for comparison, I think it'll do well You should confirm what the NAV of TMTS is, I wouldn't be surprised if it's actually higher than $10 and the current trading price.
What are those of you not interested in playing the Trump pump looking at? I've got an eye on MOTN/DocGo which been on an uptrend since announcing earnings 9 days ago, warrants have gone from 1.4 to 2.3 and commons hugging NAV more closely. They raised their 2021 revenue outlook from $170M to $260M and 2021 Adjusted EBITDA guidance from $6M to $10M. Has a $1.1B valuation. KVSB/Nextdoor and TMTS/NextNav have been floating above NAV and are approaching their merger dates. It seems like recently that has been a positive signal. Also keeping an eye on SWBK/Bird since a lot of the VC darling companies that have been SPACing recently have done pretty well. Apollo recently agreed to upsize it's credit facility with Bird from $40M to $150M. Basically Apollo promises to make up to $150M in loans available to Bird and credit facilities are often used as sources of backup funding when a company is raising money. Not sure if bullish or bearish. Lastly, glad to see XPDI/Core Scientific finally waking up.

Keep in mind this table is using the $10 issue price and lets be honest, many couldn't buy at these prices especially during the spac go go days. No individual was able to get 10 ipo stock on any of these. Chamaths performance is especially misleading as the returns are much different if you use the price on closing post DA. Real life performance for many on chamath spacs is actually negative. The sponsors to keep an eye on going forward are the khosla series KVSA KVSB etc and these could all have been bought for 10 by individuals, goldman's spac will do well long term as well, and very long term , if the lowest rated sponsor on this table turns out to have picked the best companies, he just over paid short term Joby Hipo

Like Peter Lynch says, keep your eyes open for what looks like it is catching on. Here are a couple of my picks that I am noticing catching on these days: Dutch Bros (BROS) - caffeine supercharged drink drive thru only stores on West Coast that are doing super well with lines if cars all the time. Nextdoor (KVSB) - all my neighbors are on this hyperlocal Facebook type of app. Cathie Wood and former Sun Microsystems founder are investors.
Always wait until after merger. They have a way of plummeting after. I got caught in the SPAC crash and am just now digging myself back out. And that was only playing the most legit of them. Of which there are only a few. The vast majority are garbage. Nextdoor is definitely not something I’d put my money into until they actually hit the market. KVSB will turn into nextdoor ticker after merger is what that article is saying. So you can just buy the SPAC if you want nextdoor. Don’t do it man. There’s nothing about nextdoor that screams money.

I think you’re right. I’m reading it will be but I’m also reading to buy KVSB “…the company is set to complete SPAC merger with Khosla Ventures Acquisition Co. II (KVSB) as announced on July 6th, 2021”. It goes on to say to own Nextdoor stock you can buy KVSB. It’s a bit confusing to me since I’m a bit new to all this.
I thought it was going under its own ticker? KIND KVSB is a good place to park money, woods and others are dumping loads of cash in there.
On this thread I saw an advertisement by NextDoor to advertise on their site. If they are getting serious about monetization KVSB could be a hidden sneaky gem, that site has been vastly undermonetized up until now considering its user base
