Also just a random throw. LXEH. Was $10 3 months ago. Got to $32 at its highest. It dropped under $2 today. I wouldn’t just blindly going into this one tho. I havnt been able to research it. Although I am gunna hold this one overnight for sure if it closes over $2.50. My average is 2.39. Again I did not research this one other than I Do not see any news And don’t see any news of agreements or something ending. Any advice?

LXEH is a great one - pretty close to a 52 week low and has a low float, plus since it's under a dollar, shorts are putting up $1 collateral per share and paying interest on that amount, making the effective borrow fee even higher. No strategy, I've been working on my Python skills and wanted to scrap and store some financial data as a little project. I decided to do this for top gainers/losers, but when I was exploring the options available there was a lot of variation. There must be something more than market cap, share price, and volume. Looking at today's list of top gainers for finviz and investing.com, LXEH appears on investing.com, but not on finviz. However, LXEH has market cap, share price, and volume similar to stocks listed on finviz's top gainers. \*shrug\*
Well, a bit of background: AMBI is an 85MM market cap Brazilian holding company, with subsidiaries in the health delivery / EMT business. MLEC is an 180MM market cap feed additive company. LXEH is a 2.4MM (!) market cap Chinese-based educational company. All three of these companies have huge beta swings in their pricing and are thinly traded. As others have pointed out, there's a lot of algo trading going on here and some documented losses. LXEH is my favorite example here though. Its 5 day chart (going back to the 3/17/23 trades shown) looks a whole lot like a classical "pink sheets pump and dump" to my eyes. on 3/17, the trader miraculously pinned the peak at around $3.00 a share. Since then the stock is trading at $0.80-$0.95. My opinion? I am very skeptical of day trading penny stocks and flipping positions several times per day. If it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck and floats like a duck, it's probably a pump-and-dump duck.
