I remember seeing something about the dates being the 10th, record on 11th then I was confused when I suddenly saw the date change. My plan was to buy $MEDS for the dividend (didnt sell fast enough lost $ on that one), use the principle + dividends to buy FF, then when FF pays use that money to buy CLRO for the dividend. The pay dates lined up exactly. But when I saw the scheduling dates change I panic bought CLRO higher then I should have and ended up selling it for a loss. Unrelated note, Meds would have worked out for me if I followed my original plan and sold pre market, but I thought it looked like it still had strength and I put my sell order in too late. Anyway, yes the dates suddenly changed and looked confusing and if they never changed why was this alternative put out there? Was it a mistake or were they trying to get people to buy and hold shares earlier then they needed to? It's really wierd.
MEDS did $8 dividend recently, the share price was near that level before the announcement
Well, it's certainly at a better buy price than when I bought it a few weeks ago. I was down over 60% on it when I sold Thursday, it was my worst move so far this year. Luckily I bought it with some of the profits from selling MEDS, so it didn't sting so bad.
It could, but their financials look solid. The guy I saw mention this company said he played the MEDS special dividend a few weeks back. I checked and the stock doubled within a week or two and then had a small correction after the dividend payout
It may! My last special dividend play was MEDS a few weeks ago, the stock more than doubled before the ex date and I sold it early, rather than wait for the dividend. If I hold this until the dividend, I'm selling immediately.
Waiting for my MEDS dividend, I bought into the stock at $10 with the $8 divy per share, it might be my best play of 2024 if I can sell before everyone else
