Completely different situation than a standard volatility halt. MMTLP was scheduled to delist and issue replacement shares but there would have been delivery issues with trades that didn't settle before the cutoff date so under that premise they halted early. FINRA totally fucked up and created a worse mess than the one they said they were trying to prevent and that issue should have been addressed well ahead of time instead of hanging everyone out to dry but that has absolutely nothing to do with every exchange listing their halting conditions then halting when those conditions are met.

Jump back into MMAT, loaded all my capital I got from MMTLP into that at just under $1.00 cost average. The floor is $1 and only upside potential from here.
And yet, it was found that there was no settlement issue. Also, that post was 42 days ago and if you check FINRA it is still under a U3 halt. They have also said it’s on a chill order by DTCC. They have all lied, and not one person that got their shares trapped when it halted has gotten their NextBridge shares yet. Still showing a negative balance for MMTLP in everybody’s accounts. If it was just a settlement issue, I would think that issue would be settled almost 2 months later. But alas…

So about 6 months then. Hope it works out for you. Been in this position twice now (AMC and MMTLP). Paid off my car twice (first one died after paying it off and got a second i had to pay off) and just doing some DD to see if this will make me some money.
MMTLP was a series A preferred share that was set to spin into a private company which is developing the largest oil find in the continental US in 60 years. It was naked shorted over 3X the float and on the first day when shorts were to be forced closed 12/9 FINRA halted trading to prevent a squeeze, and now everyone is stuck with placeholders because there are only 165 million shares in the private company but somewhere around 500+ shares in everyone's accounts. It's the literal smoking gun that GME has been looking for. In other words a massive clusterfuck that exposes the rampant fraud that makes up the current US financial system
Damn I didn't think of that but FINRA do be getting protested and sued by several people/organizations for what happened. Thankfully pulled out of that fiasco at $12. Would be incredible if MMTLP had to do with it but wouldn't be surprised given what happened and is happening
Tbh don't blame you. I've only fucked around with MMTLP and BBBY as far as short squeezes go. I don't plan to much more. I didn't think of MULN as short squeeze potential, just a cheap stock with a cool preproduction car - a risky bet basically with the potential for huge upside since the stock is so cheap. If the FIVE ever gets sold, I'll be a mullenaire, but that's a long way off, if it ever happens.

You're right but take a look at MMTLP we've got stone cold proof of naked shorts in my Etrade account as I type this. But FINRA, and the SEC just wants to protect their hedge fund buddies so we're fucked either way, I can't squeeze and I can't get Nextbridge. You can really find some plays here man, i promise. ​ You're talking about squeezes I've seen in here, that were real, like APRN, RDBX, BBBY, BBAI, MMTLP, COSM etc. ​ Take a long hard look at every squeeze that has ever happened, and I would throw that thesis away. Even GME and AMC were just a large scale, that had insane pullback for bag holders. Now they are settled, decent stock plays. I dont think "Squeezes" are about conviction. And i don''t think they are destroyed by paperhands. I think squeezes matter because traders have 10% of the shares, and institutions have 90%. We don't have the volume to compete, and never would. We cant actually affect the price like you, or others think we can. We can try and prompt a gamma, or catalyst related squeeze. ​ I think as a trader, the best route, is a selfish one. We get low caps that have bottomed out, then we move the volume a bit and look for a chip in their armor. Sometimes we find it, but given enough time, a super computer with unlimited money will eventually move the price (we are mostly talking about naked shorts, dark pool trading, and FTDS) which is not a fair fight. Its impossible to fight back with those against us, thats why TA doesnt work on them either, because half the TA is behind the scenes. DD is worth 25%, volume is worth 25%, and the other 50% is Naked shares/Dark Pool, and FTDs. ​ We can only bring 50% of the fight, and they can bring 100%. Therefore, you're not looking for long squeeze plays like you think you are, you're looking for short squeeze plays. Squeezes that are short, not squeezes on short positions.

An estimated nearly half a billion naked shorts that never covered and then the stick was halted until deletion with thousands of retail investors still stuck a month later with a new placeholder. I will recommend again today GNS with a few notes, this is up significantly in the past week use caution. It's Friday and a lot of day traders will not hold over the weekend and are in the money so they will realize profit. it has been pumped through every social media platform available meaning the fomo will be very high today. The issue of naked shorting and in particular the story behind the MMAT spinoff MMTLP rolling into next bridge hydrocarbon and the issue of many more shares then are available being shorted and now next bridge not being tradeable creates huge issues for anyone short. This could surprise to the upside today again but don't be afraid of profit. Also I read a Twitter post claiming the CEO of GNS is going to issue a special dividend to shareholders, this is conjecture at this point but that dividend will have attached to it a serial number that ties it to real stock. If you do not receive this then you have a artifical share. I've never encountered or heard of this in any stock so take that with a grain of salt considering the dumpster fire that it came from. If people want to get in on a similar play follow the MMAT/MMTLP story. Heavily shorted, special dividend, court case, media attention are all factors. Stock is under $1 with good long term prospects. Stock doubled in price last month before FINRA broke its own regulations and froze trading in MMTLP.

Dealing with this MMTLP fiasco has become crazy. Never did I think I would be holding a position in such a chaotic financial situation. With an outcome that could go for the glory or sink like a ship. All I know is this whole mess is extremely fraudulent. Being an early investor in Torchlight TRCH has been even more frustrating. Knowing that this magical preferred share stock which should have never been sold in the first place. Could of had the potential to pay a nice dividend has now been pretty much turned into nothing more than a receipt. I have learned a lot about what goes on in a whole new level. I have learned the most by research really. I always say invest in what you believe in and find a company in that area of interest and completely break them down. Find out how they work where they started and what their future plans are. Or you can just roll the dice and shoot for the stars after getting some good advice or leads. MMTLP’s situation is completely different to GME, BBBY, AMC. They are 3 different companies in 3 different scenarios. 1 has talks of a merger or a split off from a division ( BBBY and bu buy baby) 1 is doing a RS and cusip change( Amc GME has solid fundermentals and potentially going to do a NFT dividend. Dont get me wrong what they done with MMAT was dirty, you’ll day will come once sorted, but MEME season is starting up now…
While I agree what happened to MMTLP is fscked up, the situation is not entirely the same considering BBBY is not OTC.
GME, BBBY, REV, MULN, etc.... what do these all have in common? IMO, zero chance of a squeeze, and here's why. MMTLP, a preferred stock that was created when TRCH and MetaMaterials merged. It was never meant to be traded, but thru HF shenanigans, it was heavily shorted. Shorts were supposed to close when MMTLP went private. FINRA stopped trading 2 days early. Shorts never closed. One of the shorts is actually on the FINRA board. Talk about conflict of interest. MMTLP had everything going for it for an epic short squeeze, yet, the HF's found a way to neuter it. My point is, if a stock in that situation can be denied a squeeze, then any stock can be denied.
It's an OTCPK just like MMTLP, I'll take towels for that day instead Bob.

Everything that I've read about this mess excludes how much the formerly MMTLP shares are worth. It makes it difficult for people to decide whether the $235 fee is worth it in the end. I do not have any, but I'd pay it just to see what happens. My guess is that next bridge will somehow become a publicly traded company after some time goes by and it's value will more than cover the 235. I'm also assuming there is a whole bunch of legal strategery at work here, in an attempt at exposing naked shorters and other shady practices.

I'd advise warning about trusting dividend plays at the moment. Just look at what happened to MMTLP (MMAT divi) right before the assigned date it was to be closed for transfer into NB. Now if you were more reasonable you had a lot of time to sell on run ups but no where near where some of the posts said it would hit aka triple-quad digits.

I didn’t buy it but it’s not a problem since there are always new penny stocks. Like COSM, MMTLP, BBBY… all burned by the millionaire shorts who steal poor peoples money. Retail traders loose money because they are unaware of the manipulation and pump and dumps
I haven't bought OTC since 2021. But there's been quite a few runners lately GTII, MMTLP, etc. Hope DBMM is next!
If you’re tuned into the MMTLP situation, you’ll know that naked shorts can get away with anything. The institutions will simply bend the rules to save their asses. The precedent has been set. It won’t squeeze unless they allow it to.
