Can recommend looking at Nervgen Pharma (NGEN). They just diluted their shares to raise cash for their phase 3 study of their drug NVG-291. This drug can restore nerve damage in people with spinal cord injury (SCI). They are fast tracked for FDA and their results from their phase 2 trial are insane. They are selling at a 40% discount right now, and I don't think we will see a price this good again. Beware, this is a biotech company, they don't have revenue and their fate is decided on their drug becoming FDA approved. NFA
$NGEN/ NervGen Pharma Corp public offering at $2.50, stock is $2.03 at time of writing. Bull case: Money raised through offering is to fund advancement of its spinal cord injury drug, NVG-291, which if successful, can be the next $SAVA. Bear case: It’s a pharma company, and is Canadian which is also scary. There is just as much of a chance that NVG-291 fails and turns spines into strange looking goop.
you can get SGOV at 3.5% or PAAA at 4.7% or NVG at 7.5% and NVG is completely tax free, but riskier as it deploys leverage and risk of longer duration of their Munis, or blend them all 33% each when the unexpected emergency happens which usually does, this 3-4 months of cash will be a big help until you find another job or heal up from an injury etc. also sp500 fell 89% in 1929-1933, it fell 54% in 2000 and another 50% in 2008, so it ain't perfect if it really bothers you, start with a 2 month emergency fund then slowly build it up
Bought in last year at 3.66 avg, sold at 7.5 in December. Have been looking for the right time to do my re-entry. This company is creating one of the biggest innovations in modern medicine. Their drug NVG-291 can restore nerve function in spinal cord injury, even multiple years after the injury. People that couldn't move their arms can now lift a glass of water and take a sip. And that was after just 12 weeks. With many reports of continued improvements AFTER they stopped getting the drug. And not only can it do this, there is suggestive evidence that this drug repairs all damaged nerves in the body. We're talking restoring eyesight and hearing too, they did a study for the US military where they improved both hearing damage caused by long term low impact sonic damage, and extreme one instance damage. The reason I am waiting with buying back in is that their phase 3 study is not looking to be completed until sometime in 2027, and their cash runway is not long enough that they will be able to reach their phase 3 study without some funding, which could include dilution.
NervGen Pharma Corp is a small, under-the-radar biotech going after a massive unmet need—spinal cord repair. Its lead drug, NVG-291, is designed to actually heal nerve damage, not just treat symptoms, which gives it huge upside if it works. The stock is still cheap relative to that potential, so strong clinical results could move it fast. There’s also real buyout or partnership potential if bigger pharma sees progress. It’s definitely risky, but that’s where the 5–10x opportunity comes from.
The NVG mode in Battlefield 6 is fun Promotes camping though
I think we got mixed up then. I was piling on with you. Everyone has NVG, drones, and other fun toys now, not just the US. I do not think Iran will be quick or easy, especially if there is any type of ground engagement. Anyone who does is a fool.
Check out Nervgen stock. Super cheap. "The FDA confirmed in a September 2025 Type C meeting that multiple regulatory routes are available to support approval of NVG-291 as the first pharmacologic treatment for SCI" There is a small community here on Reddit that discusses the results from the clinical trial including some that have participated... Life changing peptide and stock.
Early data and FDA support make NVG-291 one of the most promising neurorepair plays right now

Buy low, sell high! **One voice from the current acute cohort human trial of Nervgen's breakthrough drug therapy for nerve regeneration.** *"The study tested NVG-291, the first drug to ever show efficacy in spinal cord injury, and I was privileged to be among the first 40 people worldwide to participate in this historic trial* u/nervgen\_pharma*. Since beginning this trial, I have regained full arm function and experienced a substantial return of hand function, along with meaningful improvements in motor and sensory control below my level of injury."* [https://www.instagram.com/p/DPKaj-lD7QO/?igsh=d2JlNzc4ZTd1eTdq](https://www.instagram.com/p/DPKaj-lD7QO/?igsh=d2JlNzc4ZTd1eTdq)
NGENF NervGen Pharma has a meeting with fda to approve NVG-291 to repair spinal cord injuries
>post mixes legitimate science (NVG-291’s potential in nerve regeneration) with speculative hype (comparing to Eli Lilly, lifetime millionaire claims). NervGen is a binary biotech lottery ticket: it could fail completely or produce life-changing returns, but current evidence is preliminary and not yet sufficient for strong confidence.
Great news! The phase 2 trial showed NVG-291 regained unprecedented levels of upper limb function in all participants who received this peptide.
$OPTX - makes optics for space, rockets, missiles, NVG's (night vision for DOD)...Just needs a bit of attention and this is going to the moon!
NervGen ($NGENF) seems like the safer play in this field. They already have FDA fast-track designation for their NVG-291 which is currently being evaluated in a double blind study for repairing spinal cord injuries. Anecdotal evidence says the drug is effective and NervGen is announcing topline results of the study in less than two weeks at the American Spinal Injury Association annual scientific conference. If the results were bad news, they would not be announcing results at this conference and would simply publish a newsletter IMO. In these types of clinical-stage pharma plays you have one Eli Lily for every hundred that no one remembers because they got delisted. It pays to be first.
Introducing the stock that you’ve never heard of that will make me a millionaire. NervGen Pharma, $NGENF. Currently there are 0 cures to spinal cord injury derived paralysis, not a single one. 0 ways repair the central nervous system. This means Spinal Cord Injury, MS, ALS, and many more are untreatable, that is until now. NervGen Pharma is based off the revolutionary work of late Doctor Jerry Silver who found that after injury to the spinal cord/Central nervous system(CNS), scars form around the nerve endings. Previously nobody knew what prevented the CNS from repairing itself the way a cut on our skin or broken bones do. Dr. Silver theorized these scars were the reason behind the prevention of the body healing itself within the CNS. After testing this is animal models in preclinical trials on rodents, they found after spinal cord injury in rodents, rodents were able to regain a remarkable amount of function or their lost limbs after spinal cord injury. The trials were a great success. After that the company’s main drug, NVG-291, was tested to be safe in healthy individuals in phase 1a clinical trials and the only noticeable affect was a temporary small red rash at the site of injection(keep this in mind). The trials were a success and fully safe for a fact and approved by the fda to test for efficacy in phase 1b/2a trials. This is where we are currently however there’s more to know. The trial is set up with 40 total participants split into 2 groups of 20. (1)Those who have been injured for 20-90 days and (2)those who have been injured for 1-10 years. Within those groups of 20 there are 10 who will be given a placebo and 10 who will be given the drug, NVG-291. Those who receive the drug are given it daily for 4 months at the highest dose tested for safety in the phase 1a clinical trials. Data was set to be released only when both groups have completed the trial however one group has already completed their and the data for that group is set to be released early June. HOWEVER, the juicy part is that there have been rumors from the participants in the trial that received the drug that it has worked. Mainly one story is that a patient went from walking 30 feet in just over 15 minutes before the drug to 45 seconds after receiving the drug. This is groundbreaking. That is because not only is this significant recovery from spinal cord injury very rare, but ALSO after one year since injury it is thought that any recovery after is next to impossible. These leaks were from the group that has been injured for over a year so this progress is INSANE. ON TOP OF THAT, the one who leaked explained that they didn’t know if they received the drug or placebo because the study is blinded however they did notice that same red rash when they were given their shots. The same red rash from when the drug was given is earlier trials that the placebo probably didnt give. The placebo wouldn’t have this effect at all. I myself tracked down and verified this information through the patients donation page and routine updates from the family of the patient themselves on caringbridge. On top of that the company could charge insane amounts for this drug based on the lifetime cost of living with a spinal cord injury. This stock is also microscopic, with a market cap of under 200 million. Companies with similar or somewhat worse results have seen a valuation of 2.6Billion(Look at history of Longbridge Pharmaceuticals). Even more, the stock isn’t even listed on all major brokerages like Robinhood and when this stock hits those exchanges and news is realeased to this public this stock in my opinion will do something we may never get the chance to see in our lifetime as well. Everything I have researched points to putting at least SOMETHING in this stock and I really do think this is the opportunity of a lifetime for those that seize it. https://www.caringbridge.org/site/9296f6ac-fd25-3f9e-ae12-a84a95010608read this
**Tl;dr: my father mentioned it to me after someone mentioned it to him.** My father has myasthenia gravis, which is an autoimmune disorder where antibodies destroy the communication between his nerves and muscles. A friend of my father's mentioned NervGen to him as a company that could potentially help with the condition one day, as the technology essentially helps to promote nervous system repair. If you're curious as to how: [here](https://nervgen.com/technology/). I'm sure the fact it is a Vancouver company and we are based in British Columbia / Vancouver ourselves also helped put it in our paths. As far as we know they haven't mentioned myasthenia gravis specifically, but they are currently developing the drug for spinal cord injuries and stroke. (NVG-291, which has received FDA Fast Track designation for individuals with spinal cord injury.) Meanwhile NVG-300 is in the works to hopefully have a positive effect on those with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, alzheimers, or multiple sclerosis. Here is the [pipeline ](https://nervgen.com/pipeline/)on their website. Anyways, from my father, to me. The two of us are probably too concentrated in, but there's obviously something compelling about the company on a personal level. The Phase 1 results for NVG-291 release in a couple of weeks, and we've both been stressing and kind of hopeful. They have applied for permission to give the placebo-receivers the drug as well, and will be releasing their data at the American Spinal Injury Association Annual Scientific Meeting, June 2nd-4th. Additionally, insiders aren't selling at all. To me it seems like they're getting decent results, so I'm definitely tentatively optimistic. Particularly for something like a spinal injury, depending on the severity, even gaining the ability to move a single finger is an *extraordinary improvement* to your quality of life. Bladder control has also been one of the most desired improvements from the drug trial participants, and something that 'small' will be extremely valuable to their quality of life. (And in their trials on mice, better bladder control was achieved.) (If anyone is wanting a video about it, I think "NVG-291 Explained by a Nuerologist" by Dr Brandon Beaber on YouTube is pretty good for an overview. The mice at the beginning are some compelling mice.) Sorry if this was really long, I'm just happy to be yapping about it now that the stock no longer fails to meet the size requirements of Rule 7. (Reuploaded this comment since it was initially removed by the automod for linking to the YouTube video.)

The mechanism has been confirmed, NVG-291 helps to ‘inactivate‘ so called chondroitin sulfate proteoglycans (CSPGs) that are located in scar tissue that forms in case of neuronal damage. With NVG-291 nerve cells regenerate and reconnect, locomotion and bladder control improves. Therefore you can call it a cure, it is not just an effect that you achieve by e.g. increasing activity of existing nerve cells. Does it work in humans? I don‘t know and I would caution to read too much into anecdotal stories that claim that people are doing much better. But I do hope it works and even if it would help ‘only‘ 20% of patients, that would be huge.
Yesterday's Q1 Financial results and operational updates: https://finance.yahoo.com/news/nervgen-pharma-reports-q1-2025-113000518.html From Stock Titan: **Positive** * Completed last subject visit in chronic cohort of Phase 1b/2a trial for NVG-291, with data readout expected in early June 2025 * FDA approved expanded access protocol for NVG-291 * Pipeline candidate NVG-300 showed promising activity in preclinical models of stroke and SCI * Raised $1.3M through ATM and warrant exercises in Q1, plus additional $2.5M post-quarter **Negative** * Cash position decreased from $17.3M to $14.5M quarter-over-quarter * Net loss increased to $3.9M in Q1 2025 from $2.3M in Q1 2024 * G&A expenses increased 45% year-over-year to $2.9M * Discontinued preclinical validation of NVG-300 in ALS
yes hundreds of thousands and the cost of living with one is insane for insurance companies, telling you first hand. They’d be willing to pay anything that saves them money in long run. Also, they are working on treating other issues within the CNS, see NVG-300 but not as developed as this one
One could argue that NVG's aren't exactly a highly contested or $$$ market. Compared to something like Intel fab's(new) or TSMC/Samsung(non us).
Highly recommend the AGM global NVG-40 dual tube. You will be pleased!
You missed commerce. I buy a lot of expensive dude shit thanks to Reddit recommendations and discussions: NOD/NVG (because I can), high-end Goodyear welt boots, Japanese raw denim, and fucking Leica cameras and lens etc... None of those are counted as part of the "conversion" by Brands on Reddit as of yet. But we all know it's there. Reddit just needs to prove they are part of the purchase behavior to the consumer brands on expensive shit. It's such a myth that Reddit users are a bunch of basement dwellers with no spending power....
Lol bro we build ships here what are you talking about. I live close to two deep harbor shipyards and I also happen to know they make the NVG goggles close to one of them. That and the tech infrastructure is like one thing we don't outsource.
NGENF Nervgen Pharma Corp. The company's lead product candidate is NVG-291, which is in phase 2 clinical trial for the treatment of spinal cord injuries. Also may have implications in multiple sclerosis, stroke, Alzheimer's disease, and traumatic brain injury.
I wish NVG wasn’t so expensive
Graciously donated all our NVG’s to the taliban to use in the holy war against israel
Looks like a solid cigar butt play to me. SEM.LS is definitely undervalued and with their 70% stake in NVG.LS, there's definitely some hidden value there. Definitely worth a closer look for any value hunters out there.

Yeah, I think that the advent or NVG’s and their subsequent widespread adoption over the years by various militaries is comparable to what is happening with AR right now. Sooner or later, the tactical advantage will be undeniable, and if you want to beat the enemy and make it out of a firefight, you’re going to want an AR headset for the best strategic advantage. We’re not quite there with the tech yet, but getting close
If spy red tomorrow: 1. More ammo 2. NVG’s
Rigg, No. I searched on both and no mention of lawsuit, but did find this: NAPSI)-More than 6 million people in the U.S. live with Alzheimer’s, and that number continues to increase each year. In 2021, Alzheimer’s and other dementias will cost the nation $355 billion. The Alzheimer’s Association predicts those costs will rise to $1.1 trillion by 2050. A Canadian-headquartered biotech startup, NervGen Pharma Corp. (TSX.V: NGEN) (OTCQX: NGENF) has just entered into a research agreement to study its NVG-291 drug in Alzheimer’s disease models in animals as it prepares for its Phase 1b clinical trial in Alzheimer’s patients slated to start in 2022. This development comes on the heels of pharmaceutical heavyweight Biogen being granted FDA approval to commercialize aducanumab – a drug that removes amyloid-beta plaques from the brain as a means of slowing the onset of Alzheimer’s disease in patients. This approval is in spite of the fact that aducanumab’s effectiveness has been questioned by many Alzheimer’s experts. The sceptics include Dr. George Perry, the editor-in-chief of the Journal of Alzheimer’s Disease, the University Chair in Neurobiology at the University of Texas, San Antonio and one of the most published and cited researchers in the Alzheimer’s field. He believes that NervGen’s potential for NVG-291 is a far more “exciting” and potentially effective treatment for Alzheimer’s than Biogen’s controversial new drug. “NervGen’s drug candidate leverages a unique and powerful multimodal mechanism of action that has been shown in preclinical studies to increase both autophagy and plasticity while also reducing microglia inflammatory expression, representing an exciting new approach to treating Alzheimer’s,” says Dr. Perry. It has the potential to be one of the most disruptive pharmaceutical drug therapies of the modern era, especially for treating Alzheimer’s disease. And that gives it considerable “blockbuster drug” potential – a tantalizing opportunity that is only now just becoming apparent. This is due to the fact that NVG- 291 is designed to heal nerve damage by unleashing the body’s natural ability to repair itself. Besides treating Alzheimer’s disease, this new therapy has also shown considerable promise in preclinical studies in the treatment of multiple sclerosis and spinal cord injury.
This is just out, assume part of the AZ conference presentation: A Placebo-Controlled Phase I Study of NVG-291 in Healthy Subjects, Targeting CNS Receptor Protein Tyrosine Phosphatase Sigma [https://nervgen.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/05/A-Placebo-Controlled-Phase-I-Study-of-NVG-291-in-Healthy-Subjects\_AAN\_General-Neurology-Clinical-Treatment-and-Practice\_FINAL\_April-4-2022.pdf](https://nervgen.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/05/A-Placebo-Controlled-Phase-I-Study-of-NVG-291-in-Healthy-Subjects_AAN_General-Neurology-Clinical-Treatment-and-Practice_FINAL_April-4-2022.pdf) Very concentrated info, only a few pages.
After seeing the 65% score improvement for stroke last week in that NervGen Stroke study, I wondered what type of improvements that other AZ drugs were getting? Pretty dismal it seems. The Neuropharmacology publication noted that in the clinical study, 57 weeks of oral once daily ANAVEX®2-73 treatment showed patients improved cognition scores by +2.0 points on MMSE, a 9% mean improvement from baseline to 57 weeks, corresponding to a calculated ADAS-Cog score change of -3.4 (improvement). In these same patients ANAVEX®2-73 also improved ADCS-ADL, by +4.9 points, a 7% mean improvement from baseline to 57 weeks. Over one year for 7% improvement on ANAVEX, NVG-291 has got 65% or better on everything it has been tested on, Stroke, MS and spinal cord injury. If does half as good on AZ as the worst results on other things tested it would still be 5 times better than ANAVEX, just for perspective. Wish some way testing can be speeded up, but under FDA rules they are going as fast as possible. Cheers
Thanks Sized, I will take a closer look at it. On NVG-291 it also shows as much promise in tests for MS, Spinal Injury and Stroke as AZ. Does Cassava also work on other serious diseases?
It made a breakout today, even got over $2 for a while, the pivot was $1.90. New 3 month high both in price and in volume today, even with an hour left today. This news likely why: NervGen $NGENF will release NVG-291 Alzheimer's study design tomorrow at Alzheimer's Association International Conference This may be the breakthrough of recognition of NervGen for Alzheimer's treatment. No prior treatment has ever had so much evidence it will work. This is also the first drug that actually repairs the damage. Last week they showed 65% repair of damage from stroke in mice, that has never happened before, actual repair. A buzz may start from this tomorrow, we will see. Vancouver, British Columbia--(Newsfile Corp. - August 2, 2022) - NervGen Pharma Corp., (TSXV: NGEN) (OTCQX: NGENF), a clinical stage biotech company dedicated to developing a first-in-class neuroreparative drug to treat nervous system damage, will present the study design for its upcoming Phase 1b/2a Alzheimer's disease clinical trial at the 2022 Alzheimer's Association International Conference (AAIC) on August 3, 2022. NervGen's Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Daniel Mikol, will present a poster summarizing unblinded data from the single ascending dose (SAD) cohort of the study and interim blinded data from the multiple ascending dose (MAD) portion of the study, and for the first time will introduce the study design for the upcoming Phase 1b/2a trial of NervGen's lead drug candidate, NVG-291, in subjects with mild cognitive impairment or mild dementia due to Alzheimer's disease. Dr. Mikol stated, "I am very excited about sharing our trial design at AAIC. Importantly, it was developed with substantial input from our distinguished Alzheimer's Disease Clinical Advisory Board which is comprised of leading physicians and researchers in Alzheimer's disease." George Perry, PhD, Founding Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Alzheimer's Disease and Semmes Distinguished University Chair in Neurobiology at the University of Texas, San Antonio, and member of NervGen's Alzheimer's Disease Clinical Advisory Board, stated, "I believe NVG-291's novel mechanism of action and the demonstration of function improvement in several different animal models of nervous system damage is of significant interest to the Alzheimer's disease field. I'm excited about playing a part in testing this drug in patients so we can determine if the repair mechanisms such as increased plasticity, axonal regeneration and remyelination results in favorable effects in Alzheimer's disease patients." Paul Brennan, NervGen's President & CEO, stated, "NVG-291 has significant potential to repair the damage from this relentlessly progressive disease. Given the unique mechanism of NVG-291, we believe we have an opportunity to see changes in imaging biomarkers in this trial, which has been designed to give us the best opportunity to detect efficacy in Alzheimer's patients." This article explains both, I am teh author of it: [https://ceo.ca/@geodan/nervgen-regenerates-neurons-what-is-a-drug-that-reverses-paralysis-ms-stroke-and-alzheimers-worth](https://ceo.ca/@geodan/nervgen-regenerates-neurons-what-is-a-drug-that-reverses-paralysis-ms-stroke-and-alzheimers-worth) Even has videos of human neurons regrowing after not being able to. There was no stroke study till now. Skin regrows, muscles too. Neurons are an exception. The reason is glial scars. NVG-291 does not erase the scars, it allows the neurons to ignore them and once past the glial scar they act normal and keep growing. That is how it severed spinal cords regrow and end paralysis the spinal injury studies.
Now up 25% for the day. If people just know of NervGen and NVG-291 they will buy the stock, I did after 1 day of DD. Fantastic news :-)
So if Army wants to test on spinal or whatever, think they can. If that happens maybe beats FDA Phase 2 by many months. Found this which does say that: Enhanced Engagements for Products Relevant to the Department of Defense (DoD) Public Law 115-92, enacted December 12, 2017, authorized the Department of Defense (DoD) to request, and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to provide, assistance to expedite development and the FDA’s review of products to diagnose, treat, or prevent serious or life-threatening diseases or conditions facing American military personnel. On January 16, 2018, the FDA and DoD announced the launch of a joint program to prioritize the efficient development of safe and effective medical products intended for deployed American military personnel. Utilizing these expanded authorities, the FDA works closely with DoD’s Office of Health Affairs External Link Disclaimerto better understand the military’s medical needs for deployed personnel; give the highest level of attention to and expedite its review of priority DoD medical products in a manner similar to products under the breakthrough therapy designation; provide ongoing technical advice to DoD to aid in the rapid development and manufacturing of medical products for use by the military; and, take a closer look at products currently under development to determine opportunities to expedite their availability. On November 2, 2018, FDA and DoD signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) setting forth the framework for the ongoing partnership and the creation of a robust program that can better serve the health care needs of American military personnel. I think NVG-291 will get breathru classification anyway, but also think US Army can do their own testing or pay NervGen to test on Army personel outside of FDA.
I think in layman’s term what is used in the mouse model is NVG291-R. R for rodent (this term seems to be interchangeable with “ISP”). The formulation for humans is NVG-291. A lot of discussion on the boards about differences in formulation or not. My takeaway: they are different, only phase 2 data will answer the question of efficacy in humans.
Chondroitinase can’t be administered in humans do to it’s toxicity. (Article talks about using it in mice). What Dr. Silver is demonstrating is that a neutralization of CSPGs in the lesion removes inhibitors for regen/sprouting in the CNS. NVG-291 does this as well, through a different mechanism. It works in mice, it is safe in humans, now it needs to be tested for efficacy in humans.
Lumpy, just got ver complete answer from Paul at NervGen. See my post here 2 mins ago. It is dangerous and NervGen's patent covers NVG-291 and ISPs.
Paul at NervGen had this to say which is highly informative. With respect to your question about ISP I have the following comments: We call ISP NVG-291-R. ISP (or NVG-291-R) is designed to mimic the rodent version of the wedge domain of PTPsigma, whereas NVG-291 is designed to mimic the human version of the wedge domain. They are similar, but they are not the same. You cannot make any conclusions about how the rodent version will work in humans, either from a safety or efficacy perspective. All the safety studies (toxicology) that we do in preparation for our clinical trials in humans, and all the human dose escalation work is done with NVG-291. ISP has not gone through any of the appropriate safety testing to be administered in humans The scattered reports on Reddit of patients are extremely worrying on so many fronts, but the most important concern is that it is dangerous for patients to administer ISP. As stated above, ISP has not gone through the extensive battery of safety tests that is required by the FDA prior to testing in humans. Because it is a different molecule than NVG-291 it could have a different safety profile and different safety margins. Pharmaceutical grade ISP is not available commercially, so the material that was purchased and used by patients was not intended for use in humans. For a product that is injected this means that it might not be sterile, and it might not be pure which could lead to serious safety complications. We cannot derive any conclusions from the reports of individual patients that have tried ISP. This is why we do double blind, placebo controlled clinical trials conducted by experienced physicians, but to put a finer point on things: We don’t know that the reports of use of ISP are legitimate, Reddit or any other online message board is full of false claims, sometimes with the expressed purposed of trying to influence the price of stocks Even if the reports are real you cannot make any conclusions on the efficacy of a product from individual reports, particularly if they come from the patients themselves. We don’t know how the doses were formulated, how they were administered, for how long the doses were given, and we don’t know how much drug was used. These are all extremely important factors that could influence the ability to detect efficacy for any drug. We don’t know how efficacy was measured in these reports. Self-assessment of improvements can be difficult, particularly if the drug is not administered for long enough time or at the right dose. The facility that we use for our trial will use very sophisticated measurement techniques that aren’t available to patients. Again, this is why we do controlled clinical trials to test the efficacy of new compounds In our experiments, not all animals responded to treatment in the time frame that was used. And responses were different in different animals: some had improved coordination, others improved weight bearing, and others improved bladder control. We have no idea what type of improvement was being measured by these patients, and if the measurement was appropriate for their specific injury We know very little about the condition of the patients that self-tested (one self-reported as an ASIA A) and whether or not these patients are candidates for a response in the time frame that the drug was used We have no idea about accompanying therapies (Physio, e-stim, etc) that were or were not used in these patients, and whether or not these might confound the results. I will stress this again, there are absolutely no conclusions that can be drawn from a patient reported experience on a blog. We go through a very controlled clinical trial process that is overseen by the FDA to determine if a product is efficacious, any belief that this can be shortcut with indivdual experiences is flat-out incorrect Dr Silver understands the above points and would never give instructions to a patient to try intrathecal adminstration. He is equally as horrifeid as I am that patients are risking self adminstration of ISP in an uncontolled setting NervGen’s US Patent, which is approved, covers both ISP and NVG-291 until the late 30’s. We expect that this coverage will provide us with exclusivity from competion for that time period. Because this is a legal metter I won’t comment on our approach to companies that make ISP availbale for research use. Great to get this info.
I too have looked into what chickenwingsmac is talking about. First off, there are a lot of unknowns that go into people trying the ISP on their own. Did they have the correct formula? Store it properly? Use correct amount? This may be more difficult for people to do this, especially ones without medical/scientific knowledge. Secondly, he was Asia A and this is of course the most traumatic injury. It could be that Nvg-291 may not have an affect on such traumatic injuries but possibly only work in less severe injuries, perhaps Asia B, C or D. This is where clinical testing will be important. I also think it’s odd that Dr. Silver would even respond to such a message. It seems like to me that would violate some legal parameters that may be in place with Nervgen owning the rights to the technology or even encouraging a random individual to inject an unknown drug into their body before any kind of safety was proven? Just making some observations. Lastly, I believe there is a difference between the ISP and Nvg-291, not just licensing/copyright (Nervgen owns this anyway, right?). If I can find the source I’ll edit to include but I remember reading that the new compound includes a receptor for humans instead of a mouse receptor, this could be important. Anyways, I don’t think we should base the effectiveness of NVG-291 based on the experience of one person (I haven’t read anyone else’s account). Not trying to ignorantly dismiss the experience of an individual but also not writing off the company, the doctors, years of proven research, etc.
Thanks Chickenwings. NervGen is quite assesible. I suggest calling or having your friend call and ask the about it. Are there any animal or microscope tests that show that alternative works? If I will in his siuation, would do the same thing, in fact would duplicate or steal NVG-291 and try on myself. If it worked, would go public. no one would arrest me, and the company would be pleased not offended. You can private message me the specifics of what it was. I am interested. Again the odds are over 50% it works. If no animal or microscope proof the other thing works, I would not assume it is the same. Cheers
Not sure what the difference. Nervgen did state on a description somewhere during one of their conferences that NVG-291 was a “close homologue to Intracellular sigma peptide (ISP). Could honestly be the difference between advil and the store brand for all we know. However I have a pretty good feeling that both are essentially the same and the differences are for licensing and copyright purposes. I believe the ISP peptide has been around for some time and used for various studies already.
From a video that I saw on YouTube Dr. Silver did mention that the drug worked better in chronic patients versus acute because the nerves are still sprouting in the injured area of the spinal cord and has had time to be as close as possible for them to “reconnect” once the drug was applied. I’m hoping it works more efficiently in longer term spinal cord injured patients. My other hope is that that the tweaked version of ISP, created by Dr. Silver, which is now NVG-291 in clinical trials is better in humans. Will this tweaked version work more efficiently in humans? I don’t see a mention of this anywhere and why it was tweaked. Again I’m assuming for copyright and licensing reasons. My next hope atleast for some is that the poster stated that he was Asia A on the spinal cord injury scale which is considered the most traumatic level of injury meaning essentially no sensation or movement below the level of injury. Maybe this was the reason the drug was ineffective because the damage was too severe. The drug works by basically making the scar invisible to the nerves and allowing them to reconnect. It may be more effective the less traumatic the injury is and the longer the patient has been injured due to recovery time and nerve sprouting. Lastly all those that did try it, atleast from the reply to my post, tried the drug for spinal cord injury. The effect on diabetic nerve damage, ms, stroke etc has yet to be determined and I haven’t spoken to or know anyone that’s tried it for those issues.
Hey Darp, unfortunately I ran into one guy on Reddit that actually tried the ISP peptide which is essentially the same thing as NVG-291. I believe the peptide was tweaked and made into nvg-291 for licensing purposes. According to the response the client had no response to the peptide unfortunately. He also mentioned no serious side effects. He also mentioned that he knew 3 other people with spinal cord injuries that tried it and also saw no response. The full conversation is in my post. He was Asia A which is the worst case spinal cord injury and I believe tried the drug 11 months post injury. He response was disheartening honestly. I’m not sure if the tweaked version is actually more appropriate for human use or not. The poster also mentioned that he reached out to dr Jerry silver directly and told him that he used the peptide and that it didn’t work. Dr silver stated that he should try intrathecal. The poster did subcutaneous injections at 10mg which was higher than the highest comparable dose in the rat studies. The poster did also mention that one of the other people he knew that tried the ISP peptide did in fact try it Intrathecally and it in fact did nothing for him or her. I believe this person as he has pictures of himself in a wheelchair and was very specific about his methods and hi knowledge on the drug.
Eskimoo, Thanks for answering. You said " But odds are overwhelmingly it might not." and "Pretending anything else without even the faintest proof of efficacy in humans is disingenuous." So what are the odds Eskimo? You make it sound like 1-2% maybe 5% max. That is an important question, so important I looked into independently and asked the CEO of NervGen about it and put my findings into the article. https://ceo.ca/@geodan/nervgen-regenerates-neurons-what-is-a-drug-that-reverses-paralysis-ms-stroke-and-alzheimers-worth **2. Does it work for humans like it does for animals?** What is the translation between successful animal trials and human trials? That is a big question that the research community talks about a great deal with vagueness. One large study said it ranges from 0% to 100%. They never went further than that, making the study worthless except it had a chart in it where you can roughly answer the question they never did. Here it is: [https://cdn-ceo-ca.s3.amazonaws.com/1h75j64-StudyChart%20Animal%20to%20Human%20Medical%20Studies%20Translation.png](https://cdn-ceo-ca.s3.amazonaws.com/1h75j64-StudyChart%20Animal%20to%20Human%20Medical%20Studies%20Translation.png) "Each dot is a study. A 50 Translation means it works 50% as well in humans as it did in animal studies. What I see is that since 2000, about 10% of drugs worked only 0% to 25% as well in humans than in animals; about 75% of drugs tested did about 50% to 100% as well for humans as for animals; and 10% of drugs were 90% to 100% as effective in humans. This is encouraging. If it works at 50% or higher in humans, as it has in animals, it will be a blockbuster drug and quite likely win the Nobel Prize for Medicine." So the chances are 90% that a drug will work 25% to 100% as well on humans as on animals. That could for MS mean at the worst end 25% of MS damage goes away or that 25% of MS patients have 100% remission and 75% have none, or a combination that results in a 25% translation of animal benefits, that is all the data in the last 20 years. And 60 years of data is similar. If you had MS would you use a drug that cures you 25% or gives you a 25% chance to have a 100% recovery? I would. The data show NVG-291 has a 90% chance to do that. Better yet it has a 75% chance to be 50% or higher benefit for humans as it has been shown to have in animals. That is far far from what you implied in the comment I am replying to. Did you read my article before your first comment or your 2nd comment? It seems not or you would have seen that. **Also below that Paul Brennan said: "That is a good question; we believe there are a number of reasons why this technology is more likely to succeed compared to others in the CNS field. These are as follows:** Most drugs in the CNS space are trying to stop or slow progression of disease. This is very hard when you don’t know the root cause of the disease such as in MS, Alzheimer’s, or ALS. It’s very different for us because we’re not trying to stop the disease, we’re trying to repair the damage that occurs as a result of the disease. And we believe we understand why the body’s own repair mechanisms are being inhibited (it’s the CSPGs that are there initially to constrain damage). It’s also very hard to develop drugs when you are trying to stop a very slow progressing disease, where the changes develop over 5-10 years. You have to study 1,000s of patients for 12-24 months for what might be only small changes. This is the case for most drugs that are in development in the CNS space. We’re quite different as we are trying to promote repair; if the magnitude of repair is even half of what we saw in animal models, we should see results much quicker, and it should take much fewer patients to demonstrate these results. The structure and function of CSPGs (the molecule in the scar that inhibits repair) and the PTPsigma receptor (the receptor that interacts with CSPGs and that is the target of our development program) are very similar in all mammals, suggesting conservation of function. More simply put, because the structures are similar between mice, rats, dogs, primates and humans, it’s likely they are doing the same things, and that experimental results studying CSPGs and PTPsigma can be translated from one species to another. The experiment that we use in spinal cord a is very good model for what actually happens in humans (a bruise or crush of the spinal cord), and thus a good predictor of effect. This can’t be said for most disease models (such as cancer, Alzheimer’s, inflammatory bowel syndrome, pain, etc.). Also in spinal cord, the magnitude of the effect that we see is substantial. A large effect size in animals typically gives greater confidence that the results translates to humans. With NVG-291, we have had results in 6 different disease models, and have seen improvements in all the major neurological functions (motor, sensory, autonomic, cognitive). Again when you see results in animal models that are so broad, they tend to translate to humans. We have seen positive results looking at the effect of disrupting the interaction of CSPGs and PTPsigma in primates using chondroitinase (a drug that digests CSPGs, which unfortunately can’t be used in humans). This is important as it demonstrated the relevance of the CSPG-PTPsigma mechanism in the species of animals that are closest to man. We know that our drug promotes the desired response in human neurons in in vitro experiments. In our Phase 1 studies, the pharmacokinetic characteristics were better than what we saw in the rat and mice studies. Specifically, the half life in humans was much longer in humans than measured in rodents. This bodes well for the Phase 2 studies." Eskimoo, think if you start fresh with an open mind and read the article you will agree that the chances of this working on humans at a level that will make it worthwhile to use are about 50% or higher. Now getting all the way thru Phase 3 from this point is less that 50%, but even before Phase 1 the chances are 10% it will get final approval. I agree with Paul on his points, there is just no way for a conventional MS or Alzheimer's to test in rats because effectively because the disease is so slow. But because NVG-291 repairs the damage and quickly the animal tests are far faster and more reliable indicator. Even better is that it has been tested on human neurons under the microscope and it worked the same as it did for animals. Curious did you watch the videos of spinal cord injured and MS induced rats regain the ability to walk? One more point, it was not just 17 MDs and PhDs (many both) it is a list of world recognized experts in their fields, whose reputations are very important to them. I am not a MD but am a scientist. I am also an inventor with 12 patents in diverse fields. All of my inventions that have been built have worked with 8 of them being profitable products being sold today. A natural strength I have is knowing if something will work or not work, before it is built. In seeing logical flaws before production. For NVG-291 I see no logical flaws and think it is 50% or better it will work in humans. Never meant to offend you. I am used to reviewing business ventures and inventions and in meetings tough questions have to be asked to avoid questions, with no offense meant, just trying to get to the truth. Cheers
New article in Europe on NerveGen **Alzheimer’s disease: is plasticity science’s big breakthrough?** [**https://www.healtheuropa.com/alzheimers-disease-is-plasticity-sciences-big-breakthrough/115915/**](https://www.healtheuropa.com/alzheimers-disease-is-plasticity-sciences-big-breakthrough/115915/) NervGen is developing a novel drug candidate that could revolutionise treatment for conditions associated with central nervous system damage, including Alzheimer’s disease. It promises to be a world’s first – a drug candidate that appears to be able to unlock the central nervous system’s (CNS) natural ability to repair itself. In stark contrast, existing drugs can only limit or contain the extent of the CNS damage that is the root cause of the world’s hardest to treat neurodegenerative diseases. For instance, existing drug therapies that target Alzheimer’s disease – the most pervasive of them all – have only succeeded in marginally decelerating its progression. This offers little comfort to the afflicted or to their loved ones. NVG-291 is a novel drug candidate that could be the biggest breakthrough in decades, according to several leading experts in Alzheimer’s disease. Medical science will likely find out whether NVG-291 is indeed a prospective wonder drug as early as next year. This is when Phase 2 clinical trials should be well underway. Indeed, this promising compound is already garnering news headlines. Yet it is not Big Pharma that is taking credit for NVG-291’s success in pre-clinical investigative research. Instead, a small North American life sciences start-up called NervGen Pharma is its unlikely developer. The company acquired the licensing rights to NVG-291 from its inventor several years ago with the mission of developing an entirely new class of truly disruptive drugs – ones that treat a wide spectrum of neurodegenerative diseases of the CNS. Prior to NervGen’s involvement, this novel experimental compound was mostly known in medical research circles for producing dramatic improvements in animals with spinal cord injury (SCI) – another affliction that involves serious damage to the CNS. NervGen’s management saw an extraordinary opportunity to apply NVG-291’s efficacy in stimulating neuron growth in the CNS to the treatment of Alzheimer’s disease. It has proved to be a good gamble so far. With decades of scientific research underpinning NVG-291’s therapeutic mode of action, NVG-291 has been shown to literally rewire the brain or spinal cord in several animal models – allowing for remarkable restoration of physical functionality, as well as measurable cognitive improvement. Such tantalising outcomes paved the way for NervGen’s financing of Phase 1 clinical trials, which got under way in 2021 to establish NVG-291’s safety profile in healthy humans. Having experienced encouraging results in toxicity studies in animals (even in very high doses), the company is expecting comparable outcomes in human trials, due to be completed in the next few months. Phase 1 results should help to determine the optimal, safe dosages of NVG-291 which will be administered as a single injection to Phase 2 trial subjects every day for three months. These pivotal Phase 2 clinical trials are set to get underway for Alzheimer’s disease, as well as for spinal cord injury in a separate study, commencing in Q4 of this year. (just start of article)
Pristine, on Alz and MS yes, maybe once a year you need to do another repair. On spinal cord paralysis it is a onetime cure. All the failed Alz drugs were just trying to stop the damage, none even claimed to do the far superior repairing of the damage that NVG-291 is designed to do. On MS it has been proven that the animals regained walking ability with NVG-291, it was not proven that was not permanent. Human tests will be needed. This factor you mention means a lot more revenue for NervGen, if it was one time treatment much less. This is the way it is with most drugs, think about it. Almost all drugs require constant use, heart drugs, mind drugs, FloMax you name it. Cheers
Correct, the best news in years or ever for cancer, just sharing the good news. If NervGen's NVG-291 works about the same in humans as it has in animals the next 12 months would mean that most of the most feared diseases in world would have cures, that is Cancer, Alzheimer's, MS, Stroke and spinal injury paralysis. The only two of those in my family is cancer and stroke. So just using myself as an example the danger of a serious ugly disease would drop 80% based on family history if both these drugs prove out. Have never in my life seen more promise for quality-of-life improvement health wise than today. Cheers
Thanks LumpyTailor for post. I feel fortunate to have accidentally found NervGen. The video and medical study showing that animals with induced MS regain the ability in weeks to walk is so profound. And other tests show that NVG-291 does pass the brain/body barrier in humans, and that neurons do regenerate in human brain tissue under the microscope with NVG-291 applied. All of this implies great promise for brain related injuries and diseases. I think it is the biggest potential for human benefit of any drug since antibiotics. Cheers
NervGen seems super promising. I have been following their progress the last 8 months or so. The leadership is top notch and have incredible communication skills. I have reached out many times to the CEO about various things and he is quick to respond with an insightful answer. Also, as DarpResearch mentioned, the science really does make sense. The science behind this drug is 40 years in the making and is backed by numerous peer reviewed articles. I love how the company tries to be as open, honest and upfront about their drug as they can. I actually have an SCI so I’m really more hopeful about its treatment efficacy for my body rather than my bank account. In the SCI world there is a lot of smoke and mirrors, treatments that promise to deliver but never pan out to anything and rarely make it to human clinicals. So it’s rare that I even believe in a new treatment to work but NervGen just seems different. The science just makes sense. The more I investigate, learn and try to scrutinize the company and it’s drug, NVG-291, the more I like it and the more hopeful I become. I would urge anyone to do their own DD on this company, you’ll see that it’s something special.
\-Olympics over today. \-Russia was supposed to end drills today but they are extending now. \-Ukraine entering new moon phase Mar 2. Meaning Russia will have night time advantage with FLIR/NVG \-Russia building bridges from Belarus to Ukraine \-Forced Russian evacuations continue in the East \-1000% increase in shelling and ceasefire violations in the East \-Russia has begun marking their vehicles with insignia used to prevent friendly fire Have a good Sunday bulls :D
Mar 2 begins new moon phase in Ukraine so Russian troops will have a huge nighttime advantage due to their supply of NVG and FLIR optics. I think we see skirmishes and more false flags till then. Just my personal opinion
Uhhhhh... going into a new moon cycle right now means Russia is going to move during cover of darkness since Ukrainians don't got shit for NVG
My balance is close to 2 mil. I am up 205k for the year. Unrealized gains. But I live off the dividends on NVG, NMZ, NHCO, and NZF. All nuveen bonds. Tax free.
If I hit a 10 Bagger, I want a pair of military grade NVG's. Have the MW2 toy replica ones, but fuck man a real pair just go have would be sick. 🤣
Max out you 401k and IRAs. You can avoid federal taxes with municipal bond funds moving foward. State income tax my apply on earnings. Example NVG with 6% div. You have enough to be very diversified. I Bonds, large, small, and mid cap ETFs, and personally I'd look into rental property for passive income. For liquidity, money market account with your bank, or a high yield saving with online bank.
Long story short I used to have a lot of various flashlights. Over time they have been given away, used up etc…. Well a hurricane came to town and guess who didn’t have any worthwhile flashlights left? A few IR lights however those are useless unless you want to walk around with NVG’s. Just went to Home Depot and spent $10 on a flashlight and it tore me up but yet I am perfectly fine throwing 1k on FD’s that ultimately go to zero 🤔. Something is wrong here
*slowly puts on Hawaiian shirt and flips down NVG's*
NVG make some pretty good content 👌
