When people say it’s over priced they look at its price to earnings which may be a big concept for some crayon eaters here. So it currently sits at a PE of 446 and a forward of 268. So impressive growth, but very very very over priced. Let’s use your same logic for some other stocks. We got - AMDs PE is 123 and forward is 59… more growth and cheaper so better buy right? IRENs PE is 147 and forward is 81. Great buy too? OKTA - PE is 88 and forward is…. 25?!?! OMG clearly OKTA is the ultimate growth buy! Wellllll…. These things are never the only thing to look at obviously. Nonetheless, no matter how you look at it PLTR is so overvalued it is comical and criminal at the same time.
You need volatility to expand as the asset goes up, otherwise you’re just long direction with nothing to show for the swings. For a lot of tech names right now (TSLA, INTC, OKTA), spot and vol are positively correlated. You also have chinese stocks right now but for more structural reasons and the type of products that are extremely popular over there. So if you think something like KWEB (tech chinese companies etf) is good value, it aligns nicely with what you are trying to do. Good luck.

OKTA has a good beat; but they are still being prudent with their guidance. Analyst questions and their responses will decide its fate tomorrow with hedge actions. MDB is the opposite. They do magical guidance/accounting magic to make it look like they outperformed the EPS every quarter. And looks like its working, so congrats to the holder : ) ❤️

Puts calls don't matter you still gonna crash and burn if you don't do it at the right strike, and the right expiry, but also pass when they overpriced, like they were on OKTA today. Overpriced garbage options it would have to move like 10% plus on earnings to make serious bank. Which idk maybe it will ... idk shit about fuk so...... Just start tapping into your vibes man.

I will be taking a put-heavy straddle position against OKTA tomorrow. I believe that they are in a similar position to Workday, where they have been valued for their growth potential, which is limited. I believe they will beat forecasts once again but end the day solidly in the negative, as investors will be questioning their future growth. If the stock does drop, I expect it to continue to drop for a few days before rebounding. This presents a great opportunity to make money on puts on the way down and then calls or shares on the way up. Once again I'm not a financial advisor so don't listen to me, unless you're looking for advice on the best value meal discounts at your local fast food establishment.

TGEN (just popped AH), LLY after they tanked on the "bad oral news" (CEO is buying shares here), NKTR, GGLL, AAPU. I'm going to be dipping into some minor plays instead of the overall market for a little until we move from current market position. HIMS puts look enticing. Also looking at the SaaS stock leaders that have been wayyyy to beaten down this year from people just assuming AI is going to end market dominance for these companies overnight. Probably gonna buy some BRZE, OKTA, and GTLB. I have like 20 biotechs to glance through right now.

You had it until OKTA. They are the premier provider for identity services in the world. They literally have the best product stack in this space with a Q1 26’ revenue jump of 10% and beat EPS by nearly 6%. They are killing it right now.

Why does OKTA's impressive performance in its financial report lead to a sharp drop in stock price due to cautious outlook, and do other stocks with similar financial reports and outlooks also experience such stock price drops?
The money I earned elsewhere was completely lost on OKTA because of focusing on a single stock and leveraging options. All the profits were wiped out, and I feel unwilling to accept it.

My holding cost is 105.76, and I also have a call option with a strike price of 100 expiring on July 18, with an option cost of 6.3. Personally I wouldn’t bet against them. This is THE name in cyber security and with recent slips by their competitors, I think they capitalize. That said; cyber-adjacent companies in general have seen disappointing next-day results even after strong-ish earnings; see: PANW, OKTA, SentinelOne….And you know what; I may have just talked myself into some short-term near the money CRWD puts. The valuation is certainly astronomical, but I see a Beat and Raise coming - especially after their Microsoft partnership announced last night. Best of luck.
Since you brought Ms. Cathie into it let's assume you want to short some of her real non-profit-forever masterpieces like UPST, TDOC or AI. How about you think CRM CRWD or ZS just HAVE to come down someday every one of them sports $50 in pillow soft share price downside, right!? Like the more obscure stuff under $50 a share instead? GTLB CFLT, FSLY OKTA TOST sure I've grazed at all of them. Quite successfully in at least four cases. Every stock I trade is capable of losing 7% in a single session or 15% in a single expiry, or else they don't make the travelling squad. Naturally I've added to my hit list this year as they proved it one by one instead. *You're about to find out that they aren't cheap one year out and that everyone else has identified the same three dozen hopeless bad faith hypestocks that you have.* Probably from as far back as I did pre-COVID, Insider Enrichment Vehicles really don't change their stripes that much after all. Get used to $5 premiums at strikes that are $20 or more off the current valuation, even as close in as this October. One year out the biggest open put interest will be assuming a 30% share price hit by then on ALL the usual suspects mentioned here IMHO the real big money on stocks like these is in WAY ITM puts (when purchased) by people like Jane Street & Citadel; they have the same level of conviction you do and (my opinion) must look at as a Bond quality investment. For someone without such a huge bankroll you are probably better off staying inside of six weeks and hoping for one chance to make 60-200 percent along the way, mostly just because just these ones are 50% off on Pump Days. After that NOBODY lets you make bank in a Put that's still $2 OTM when you sell with a 2026 expiry *but with the right kind of turd stock they sure do when it's just two weeks down the road.* If your list is as good as mine then you get to make 600% or more sometimes instead; regardless you will lose gobs of $$ learning when to hold em no matter what.
I work in consulting now for over 10 years. OKTA isn’t going anywhere. Their competitor is Microsoft which sucks and their other competitor has been breached at least three times. Every major player uses OKTA or Microsoft. They’re essentially a co-monopoly. At 11% drop just but a leap if you’re into options. OKTA will not go anywhere. Ever.
