"Average return" which im not looking for. I'm looking for heavy hitters stocks. VOO/SPY is negative for the year. ETFs is only advice for newer/safer investors imo. The post is about energy sector, going more in-depth I'm talking about stocks. (DIG - PXJ)(50% average) ETFs are doing really well, but stocks like (FET/EFXT)(50-100% YTD/YTD Half) are out preforming those ETFs. I did really well in tech last year, MU I got 50% returns. My main question I'm asking in this thread is, when does energy trend? Can energy be a bubble, what factors are leading energy to trend?

I don't agree with your oil bullishness at all, but: Consider the services ETFs... PXJ, XES, IEZ. These have had periods where they strongly outperform XLE and XOM. Also consider the tanker stocks: BOAT, TRMD, ASC, INSW, etc.
I bought some PXJ hoping it would spike when this news came out and it's super stagnant. Hoping it'll rally this year
I still recommend against this, especially with airlines (go look at the total potential return for the JETS ETF since the pandemic). That being said, you may like IEZ, PXJ, and PSCE. Mid/small cap oil plays that are completely in the gutter right now. I highly doubt Schlumberger and Haliburton are going anywhere and the potential return is 300%+ relating to the decline from the 2014 Texas boom.
PXJ is an oil and gas etf currently at around 4.00
What about PXJ etf oil and gas? Hovers around 3.50 currently.
