SNAX is not an OTC stock yet, but it's the 4th month straight that they fail to meet the minimum closing bid of $1 for 30 consecutive trading days. Nasdaq should have already issued a deficiency notice to the company, which implies that they should delist and trade as an OTC by early next year, just like it happened to QNGY recently.

No i bought 5 call options expiring 02/23 with a strike price of $2.50 and the company did something and now options are no longer available. It is heavily manipulated. The call options for 2 years expiry are dirt cheap. Float is really small. And they are leading in Lidar technology. In the near future, government are gonna make it mandatory for all autonomous cars to have lidar technology for safety. Quanergy leads the way in state of the art lidar and at a lowest cost. You will probably hear more partnership with leading automobile company really soon. Tesla is rumoured to be in talks with QNGY. But don’t take my word. Do your own research as always and you might like what you see. Any good news will blow the shorts out of the water. Its like a ticking time bomb.

The 30 trading-day period average closing price of Quanergy's common stock was $0.85 per share as of June 16, and the company has six months to regain compliance, it said. Quanergy plans to "increase the value of its shares through implementation of its business strategy" and is also evaluating other options to regain compliance, the company said. Interesting. Now that you mention it, I recall that QNGY was similar too. But the lockup was one of the weakest ever with even sponsors unlocked so that was a fun put play. What is the pricing model for shorts for your broker, locate multiplier based or borrow fee based?

Did anyone do some DD on Quanergy (QNGY) and can explain why it dropped THIS low? I get that there are quite a few Lidar stocks out there but none have taken this hard of a beating.
A few other 2020/21 despacs are under a $1, not a record. Seems like being under a $1 and being a former spac is a match made in heaven lol. ENJY, QNGY, BRDS (surprised this one is this low tbh, expect it to bounce back at some point but no position)
I got in again, but it may turn out to be like SAI and a few others ones that simply have no buying pressure. The risk is quite high as this can plummet to QNGY levels (which is now under 1 dollar).

I think large spacs with $400M+ trusts are going to have a really tough time. Of course, there are very few sub $50M SPACs (like 4 or 5?). There are a few other factors in the valuation as well that matter to you as founder, such as vesting / earn-out shares. Of course my example was simplistic since there are almost always existing investors, not 100% founder owned. In many cases, these existing investors can sell Day 1 of merger. In a perfectly efficient market, the share price would adjust instantly to the businesses intrinsic value on Day 1. But we know that doesn't happen. There's usually plenty of liquidity for existing VCs to cash out in the 6-9 range even though it's a $3-4 stock within 2-3 months (SES, QNGY good recent examples). So valuation does matter for existing investors since they have more shares to sell. And then of course some sponsors actually do add value given their ability to guide the transaction to close, get sell-side research coverage for the target, media/pr, serve on board, provide industry expertise, etc. So a green energy target would probably take higher dilution from a sponsor like Decarbonization than a $50M no name spac even if they get 98% redemption in both cases. So yes I generally agree with your point, but I wouldn't use the word "always".
$STRN actually had a pretty good run shortly after November. I learned a lot from this time period. Trying to call a specific day/time wasn’t in my best interest, which is cool because I swing a lot. $MARK taught me a lot too. That was a bad look, but you can’t win them all. I was holding a huge bag in that one and tried to rally behind it; I don’t do that anymore. I mention opportunities I genuinely see are there. The attention shifts from day to day, and many of them are left dead in the water, but there’s certainly money to be made in the tickers I catch. Even if it’s only a point or two within 48 hours usually. As far as $QNGY goes, a great opportunity. It’s literally chef’s kiss. But also bombs were dropped last night and things are kinda WTF right now. It’s still going to run though lol.
