If you want short term gains Defi coins are pumping right now so I’d go with a low cap pick such as AKRO.

I just bought right before the dip. FTM, VET, BTT, STPT, AKRO and ICP. Im currently down 20% on my portafolio… Im new to crypto, and I really don’t know what actions should I take. I’ve been holding and buying the dip on some coins, but it keeps dipping.. I don’t know how to exit the bear market.

This is BY FAR my craziest day in crypto. It's like I am dreaming but I am awake and all this shit is actually happening. First, some random AKRO and VITE pumps in the redness, then all one by one the football tokens in Binance pumping 2x and 3x like crazy in minutes, now CZH that powers all these tokens. I sold my trading capital when the dip began and have doubled it today jumping from pump to pump (using stop loss orders to protect it). It's crazy.

So, I made more money in an hour FOMOing early into AKRO (when it was down at .72 and started climbing) than the entire last week when I did my research and generally had good picks. Makes you question things :) I know that 9 out of 10 times you will lose money in such cases, but after a dip there is great opportunity for some quick profits.
AKRO low key 2x'd over past month why isn't anyone more hype about that coin?
I don't know coins that well, but my friend is into it, he made a large bet on AKRO, $20K @ .025, somewhere in that range. He said he is staking it at like 40% APY, which seems insane. AKRO tapped .086 yesterday so he should have somewhere like $100K value of AKRO. Is it a mentality just to be insanely greedy and refuse to sell with coins? or is it idiotic? If he sold, I'm guessing he would lose say 20% to taxes and fees? In a year, he hit a 5X on $20K... trying to understand this game he keeps telling me about.

I do not mind saying, if that's okay. I invested for starters in AVA (Travala com), NPXS (Pundi X), BTT (BitTorrent), TRX (TRON), AKRO (Akropolis, cause yeah I am Greek! Happy 200 years by the way man, long live Hellas!) and ADA (Cardano). I have them split though and I have some coins in all these. I was really in a rush with AVA, cause it was my first coin and I did not know I bought it , but it's okay I am optimistic about it cause it's a smart project, especially for the next 2 years. They are all normally long-term investments.

I really liked AKRO before since being in the Polkadot env but they got hacked not too long ago. They would probably have gone up a lot more before if it wasn't for that hack. :( Hopefully they can rebound but it hasn't been that long ago.
Some of my favs right now are ORN, AKRO, ANKR, PHA, KYL, RAMP, LTO, LIT. Some have pumped recently (ORN just did over 3x), but their market caps are still fairly low with tons of growth room)
