Various coins Q3 2017, and various of them got sold, the main one I have left from back then is BTC, sold XMR and LTC along the way (the biggest other purchases I did back in those days) over the last 2 years. I then bought other coins during the 2018 bear that I kept and held up rather well (such as ETH, XTZ and ADA), while others I sold (IOTA, IOST, etc).
I did futures trading of IOST, not holding. I loss becuase Huobi unplug the server's network cable... lol

When I first got into crypto and was testing how to think good well I bought like $50 of every coin they had and watched price action for a while. Ended up working out pretty well in the end though I dropped 99% of them and just left myself with my favorites. ​ Sooo to answer your question - I mean, I bought it but no idea if anyone actually uses it. As far as I know mostly people use things like ETH, XLM, IOST, etc. I'm real bullish on IOST over the next 10 years\~ they have some really interesting tech on their side and are already used by a decent number of things. Still real small though so /shrug
If that happens, I mean if BTC will drop at 10K, then I'll buy more SOL, IOST, VET, KOLnet, TROY, BMI and maybe shib and feg as well. I just want to diversify and get several choices as long as the coins I'm picking are for long term.
Gems? Not that I know of. Though, IOST is a personal favorite. Gonna be a very very slow development though I assume. Maybe in 5 to 10 years it has a good chance.

What is the deal with these crap no-name coins like Waves and IOST like doubling every day?
BTC, ETH, ADA, XTZ and IOST. I also was amused at the last one but hey, buying a ton of small crap with clear visions during the 19/20 bear paid off and sold all of them to take profit.
I got into ZIL & VET early and used some profits in 2021 to add lowwwww cost IOST, DENT & VRA as long term 'punts with use cases'. Only time will tell.
Passive income like staking PINK, ICX, IOST would be a great help while the tokens are down and also accumulating these gems while i can to prepare the big comeback on bullrun.

Just rolled a couple shit coins into ONE, CELR, and BTC. Thought about CKB but I have a small pile and I’ll watch it. GRT and IOST just didn’t pan out. They may be fine (probably moon since I abandoned ship) but I’m aiming at more and I needed to make BTC a bigger part of port anyway

I feel like Matic has had its day for a while. I like ENJ, and also stellar, and EOS out of the bigger ones. Out of the lesser known ones, I fancy IOST, IOTX and HIVE.
IOTX has an established network with devices you can use already running. It's extremely undervalued compared to IOTA and even IOST. Folks misunderstand the super cheap upfront fee to connect a device (not to continue sending data). XLM doesn't match HBAR and ALGO on some metrics but it has its niche. Most of these I first learned about from a youtube channel I follow. But have done a lot of research on HBAR.

MITH, IOST and SC look promising
IOST *might* do well, given how actively they are developing only for the asian market (seems like they are trying to consolidate themselves as the asian SC chain). IOTA is a *maybe* due to the graph approach will either do crazy well... or die silently. ICX... does stuff, but I don't think they ever really recovered from the scandals, so while I am holding them for the staking, this has the highest chance of dying (of the three).
