It's best to decide for yourself because everyone here has different investment plans. But to answer your post. Coins that I hold with hope for big returns and that I will completely remove from my portfolio in the event of failure are: CKB(this one is held long term), DGB, KAVA, IOTX, ZIL, CHR, RVN.

Personally I wouldn't look at anything that is not on top 50 list, or even top 20 list. I remember LTC being in top5. People were saying that if BTC is gold then LTC is silver. Look where LTC is now. During last Bull it has his somewhere around 400 USD. I doubt it will get there by next bull, if it ever will. Years ago I also bought DGB, whch was in top 50 for sure, maybe even in top 20. Used to be hyped as very fast coin, very good coin. And maybe it is good, but time goes by, new ideas come, old ideas drop down on the list. I remember buying ETH for 100 USD, back then it was just another coin, and look where it is now. You never know, crypto is tricky market, few will be pleased with profits, a lot will cry. I used to be HODL fan. Today I wouldn't HODL on anything else than BTC. I will try to sell all I have during this bull and I hope I will hit the right time. After crash I'll start buying again.

There hasn’t been a bull run where DGB didn’t rally.. with all the extra capital this cycle coming in we will see new ATH

It's probably got more to do with the plethora of crypto choices out there. Most people looking to get into the market gravitate to L2s - newer tech, web3, liquidity pools, etc. It's pretty difficult to get anyone interested in L1s especially projects like DGB whose only attraction at the moment is its low price. Trade history isn't great and the possibility of it going from 1c to 10c or even $1 seem pretty remote. In this fierce market there has to be significant adoption in some form before anyone's going to look at it twice. It's not easy to attract attention without intense fanfare. No-one's looking for a better blockchain. They're all hunting for the next big thing.

There’s not many places to go with SHA-256. BCH and DGB were what I mined in 2018 with my S9’s. Bitcoin.com was REALLY good back then. I think their pool closed. But using their PPLNS I was able to do 2x and sometimes 3x daily earnings compared to BTC at the time. Then there was Kano Pool. Mining there had me sweating a whole lot more but the luck on that pool was really good at the time. I even solved a block on that pool. Kano used to (may still) give .045 BTC to the block solver. Kano also wrote Awesomeminer, which was the absolute best management tool when you had a shit load of miners. He gave me a free license when I solved the block. I almost fainted the day I found out I solved a block. Difficulty at the time was 5T. My solve was 7.2T. Solving that block had me REALLY wanting to turn all the miners onto kano’s solo pool. But lighting doesn’t strike twice and electricity is fucking expensive. I was getting ~$4,800 power bills. I solved block 515140 with about 250 TH/s I checked Kano recently. They’re not doing very well over there unfortunately. They went two years without a block (2021 to 2023) and the pool luck is in the dumps these days.

I'm referring to exchanges mostly here, especially any with questionable behaviors or history. But to give a related example, one time I was super tired and not wearing my glasses and got a DGB and a DOGE address mixed up. Double checking the addresses in this case didn't matter because in my head I already thought I was dealing with the right coin. Had I followed my own safety practice and sent a small amount first, I wouldn't have made an epic mistake of sending the entire wallet balance of the wrong chain. You're not wrong, high fees are a problem for some coins, so use your own discretion i guess.

Yep. I still have some DGB from back in the day and have been holding it mainly because it appears to still have a pulse but the chances of such alts actually going anywhere seem quite remote. I also had XVG and some other McAfee shills back then— dusty old bags. I ditched any that were not showing any signs of development. ICP, VRA, HBAR still holding some but I’ve pretty much written them off and figured much like gambling I could get lucky if one takes off but most likely will be selling for a loss if I ever cash in any BTC to offset capital gains for tax relief. These days I’m BTC, and ETH is about as exotic as I get. Sure you can get lucky with some alts but you gotta get in and out at the right time and I just don’t have the cycles to constantly watch the news feeds to try and assess and don’t have a crystal ball.

Because these coins have shown at least 2 cycles or more that they follow the parabolic moves of the market when btc and eth skyrocket. I’m not in it for the super long term. I don’t believe in buy and HODL forever. I start dcaing after I think we have reached the bottom or are near it and then plan my exit strategy for when I think the next parabolic run will end - in this case EOY 2024.

You can use AtomicDEX [https://atomicdex.io/](https://atomicdex.io/) to trade tokens and coins cross-chain. It supports UTXO coins like BTC, LTC, DGB, RVN and a lot of EVM chains like ERC20, BEP20, PLG20, AVX20 and you can trade every listed coin or token against any other, no matter which chains they are running on.

r/CryptoCurrencySee Comment

It is like this since years and it will not change. You can switch to one of the copy&paste alternatives like PLG20, even though i guess those will be the same as ERC20 sooner or later. It's a general problem of all those chains, where every shit token uses the same chain, since they influence the txfees of all others by using up a large portion of the total gas. Seen shit contracts using up to 30% of the total gas on PLG20 too and of course the txfees went up for all others during those periods. The only real solution are separate chains. UTXO coins like LTC, DGB, RVN and so on all have their own chain and don't have this problems.

r/CryptoCurrencySee Comment

Fees are not from the DEX, but from the chains, and of course you can post bids and asks in an orderbook, you just need to use the right DEX, that work with orderbooks, not those single-chain AMM DEXs. Take a look at AtomicDEX, it works with orderbooks, is cross-chain and also supports real UTXO coins like LTC, DGB, RVN, not only tokens.

r/CryptoCurrencySee Comment

The fees don't come from the DEXs, but from the EVM tokens you trade. Especially ERC20 (ETH) tokens have extremely high txfees, but luckily there are plenty of alternatives, like PLG20 (MATIC). And, even better, there are also the UTXO coins like LTC, DGB, RVN and so on with very low txfees.

ETH was supposed to be "smart" contracts. But is really just a way to scare people from centralized exchanges which do have their risks and fees but are far less risky than this scenario. No one can access your Electrum wallet unless they steal your seed or private key. The fees on defi are twice as much at least in comparison to most exchanges and Binance even has many fees waved or removed now. It's almost like the Eth Blockchain was actually created this way for the purpose of scamming people. Most Eth tokens the last 2 years have completely tanked. And the Eth creator lied to everyone on national TV that Shib Inu would be the "Doge Killer". "Mark my words, in less than a years time Shib will kill Doge". Well that didn't happen. Millions of people got left with bags of worthless trash too expensive to transfer because the eth creator set it up that way. And a handful of people that were already whales made billions. The eth creator looks exactly like a real life young version of Mr Burns from the Simpsons. Uncanny resemblance. If he gave a shit about other people he wouldn't have a scenario where it is easy as that to get phished for everything. How anyone believes anything he says after Shib Inu is a mystery to me. One day he will do exactly what the Terra Luna creator did. And inject millions of Eth into the Blockchain. Because he can just make up 181 million Ethereum coins a year. And screw everything at the drop of a hat in a few hours time. BTC and it's forks as well as LTC Dash XMR DGB Zec etc all have a limited number. Which means that they can realistically work with supply and demand. There will only ever be 21 million BTC. And millions are lost making it more valuable. I mean if the ETH creator can burn Shib and redistribute the price because of it why can't every other coin?? But the aggregates don't do it that way. Which is definitely scandalous. Doge has 10000 new coins mined every 5 mins and somehow demand is able to match supply. Which is truly amazing really. I just hope I get to short Eth 100x on margin when it collapses and I'll take the money I make and give it to the family members of the people who committed suicide because of the scam. Feel free to disagree but the facts are there and the writing is on the wall in my opinion.

r/CryptoCurrencySee Comment

It greatly depends on the specific token and some other factors: \- who issued the wrapped tokens on the other chains? The deployer of the initial contract or some 3rd party dudes? If 3rd party, do you trust them? Keep in mind: the deployer of the wrapped tokens can mint an arbitrary amount of those at any time. If that happens, they become worthless. \- who accepts which chains? Binance supports ERC20 and some PLG20 (more chains are supported for certain stablecoins) Some examples when things go wrong: \- the bridge where you can convert ERC20 tokens to their PLG20 counterpart is hacked, all tokens deposited in the bridge are stolen => they can become worthless because the hacker dumps them on the market \- the bridge is hacked and the dudes who run the bridge stop it => you can't bridge back and your tokens are basically worthless too, since you can't do anything with them \- GALA-BEP20 case: GALA-BEP20 was "hacked", the hacker minted a ton of GALA-BEP20 and dumped them on the market => Binance stopped deposits for GALA-BEP20 and they became worthless while GALA-ERC20 was still "fine" So i would be very careful with any wrapped tokens. Thing is that all this wrapping of tokens to other chains is not needed to be able to trade them on a real DEX. With "real DEX" i mean a cross-chain-DEX, not those simple ones that only support a single chain. Take a look at AtomicDEX, there you can trade ERC20 tokens for PLG20 tokens, or PLG20 tokens for UTXO coins (BTC, LTC, DGB and so on). Every combination is possible as long as both chains are supported and the coins/tokens are listed.

r/CryptoCurrencySee Comment

A coin has a blockchain, like BTC, LTC, DGB, a token is just a contract on a foreign blockchain, like SHIB, BAT.

r/CryptoCurrencySee Comment

depends on the blockchain... ERC20 is expensive, yes, but there are a lot of other chains that are not... PLG20, AVX20 and many others... and there are the UTXO coins, like LTC, DGB, RVN, KMD and so on, those are not expensive either... so just choose wisely

r/CryptoCurrencySee Comment

It all depends how the max supply will be reached. If it's through mining and the annual inflation is not that high, it's totally fine. You can of course calculate how high the inflation is, because block time and block reward are known (including halving). But if it's a token (ERC20, BEP20, PLG20 and so on), a high max supply is a big red flag, because the deployer of the contract (the dude that has the private key) can mint an arbitrary amount of those at any time. This already happened couple of times... last time i remember and last time i lost money because of it was with GALA-BEP20, because they leaked the private key on github and a "hacker" minted a ton of those, so GALA-BEP20 is now completely worthless. I would say "stay away from all EVM tokens that have the mint function active", but unfortunately they all have it active, so you would have to stay away from all those tokens to be safe. You could do that, but then you are limited to a hand full of real coins like BTC, LTC, DGB, RVN, KMD and so on.
