Roses are red... Just like this crypto Friday. This week KSM (-9%), HT (-8%) and LEO (-6%) have lost more that others. On the contrary, ETC (+50%), BTG (+43%) and QTUM (+43%) are the gainers. BTC costs $23.7k, ETH costs $1.7k, and the global crypto market cap is $1.09T.

So, you had 35k coins in December worth 250k. It was worth around 7-8 dollars then. Sold 7.5k around. Now the remaining 27.5k are worth 55k. So, currently 2 dollars. GAS, QTUM, NEAR qualify these as per the exchange I use. Not sure since many don't get listed easily on my country's exchanges.
i heard they are going to create a NEO QTUM ONT reserve
I bounced QTUM last week had it for a few weeks it did ok but then started to tank like everything else does
Pancakeswap, QTUM, Chainlink and some Arbi doing ok so far
I've recently grabbed QTUM was up 2 weeks ago fell last week but was up 27 % yesterday also have Link trying to find some other coins that have very good potential
I put in 3.5 k in December, yo yo'd between XRP, a tad bit of Bitcoin, XLM, Hbar now I have mainly Link, some QTUM and a teeny bit of Arb and I'm down 1200 chasing what's doing well and swapping them in for say XRP that is dropping but now everything is dropping in price for example QTUM pumped up 26 % in just over a week now it's down 16 % the swings can be wild in a short space of time I want to make profit on what I have left my initial plan was for QTUM to hold until XRP started to take off again and switch back I'm a HODL only Made mistakes along the way I thought crypto would be easy to make good money in

> Would you call that a bad move? I certainly wouldn't, it was the best trade in my life It's mostly shitcoin fiction though. Every shitcoiner claims: 1. they picked the right coins 2. they dumped at the top 3. bought at the bottom It is very difficult to get all 3 of those right and you are constantly checking the charts, trying to figure out the trends and sentiment. And every cycle top you see people saying the cycle is not over yet...January 2018 was huge altseason wait until January 2022.......then no no no, buy the dip Alts are now cheap when they still have -50% to fall so you are accumlulating at prices shitcoins may never reach next cycle, etc. Also, I was being kind listing those coins which are actually the successful ones. The list of coins changes a lot over time, with top coins dumping to kingdom come. BCH, NEM, IOTA, DASH, NEO, EOS, QTUM, NANO, OMG, STRATIS, etc were top 20 in 2018. They are all down -95% or more in USD value.
The best thing to do is to have a diversified portfolio, and look at 5 small projects or meme coins of small capitalisation, where you invest a small amount for a possible good upside. I have seen great projects fall, and others that everyone knows in the end do not rise as much as you expected. But where money is really made is in what people don't know about and start to accumulate for real. Take a look at these in case they convince you: $SAMO, $ACH, $MLN, $ORBS, $QTUM
well to guard against under-performance by a single coin, smart crypt investors diversified their poorfolio and added some coins with use cases like STRAT, EOS and QTUM for smart contracts, ZCASH and DASH for privacy and a coin with enterprise adoption like XRP that would soon be adopted by banks /s
>STEEM, DOGE, NEM, MAID, FACTOM, STRAT, BITSHARES, QTUM Damn. Some good memories with these shitcoins.
Not even remotely close. Mining pains aren't even close to being felt yet, and people investing into meme weirdness has nothing to do with "long term valuable projects" existing. Everyone thinks their own personal project is long term and valuable. Useless projects have always been at the top 10 of the ladder ever since I've looked they just have different names - STEEM, DOGE, NEM, MAID, FACTOM, STRAT, BITSHARES, QTUM, Bitcoin Gold, EOS, TRON, ONT. The only difference is now people aren't pretending that they've found some new cure for cancer in a different blockchain and have gone full on "community" in memes. You're not going to flush memes or ""useful projects"" out of the ecosystem any time soon, and Crypto is going to do its thing regardless of whatever silly projects hop in and out of the top 100.
QTUM. No idea if it's related to quantum, thingies,in,any way though.
OMG! So many hyped shitcoins from this era that went nowhere. QTUM, ELF, WAVES, ARK, DENT (how does this still exist?), SNT, CVC, LOOM, ARDR… anything ranked 300+ that used to be top 50 is pretty much dead.
Lol QTUM is a shitcoin from 2017. Their main developer Jordan Earls left and they had nothing. I had a bunch and managed to break even
I'm looking forward to my third bull this year. Lots of my coins are diamondhanded from the last run. Here's hoping for XTZ, XLM, ALGO, VET, CKB, QTUM, and ZIL to rise from the dead.
I bought QTUM, DAG, VET 2 year back and I’m tryna just get my money back on those and Chuck it into ETH or BTC. Shit ass coins.
The OP is trying make QTUM the new Algo. Sick of buying centralized shitcoins? Buy Bitcoin
>no QTUM hasn't solved the trilemma. To be fair, they never said it did. Just that they think they have the perfect balance.
For those who got clickbaited, no QTUM hasn't solved the trilemma. This is shills selling you snake oil. 1,000 TPS is still pretty far from achieving real scalability, especially when so many chains can do at least 10x that, and several chains do 100 to 1,000 times that amount. While it's built to be decentralized, it's nowhere near as decentralized as Bitcoin. There's a heavy allocation to the team. A team that has no shortage of red flags. Notably Patrick Dai using fake aliases and was involved in previous ICO scams.
Haven't heard those names in a long time. I remember being bullish on NEO, FIL, and QTUM back 4 years ago.
Every cycle has its favorite shitcoins. I still have my old bags of ICX, QTUM, Tron, EOS etc from 2017.
QTUM in 2021 March or so. Bought at about the same price now as back then. Traded heaps of stuff but always kept that as my OG. Still don't have much idea what the project is about.
Now it's dead in the water lol. Same with QTUM.
I like truth and i hate poetry. But I also dislike going to market basket, when things fall between my car seat, investing in ONE, folding clothes, investing in IOTA, inflation, investing in QTUM, the wiggles, investing in XNO. So like yeah.
Dead coins are getting gains too. Look at QTUM, OMG, CKB, REN...
I think I had some in ICX, LISK, QTUM and various others! Bad times man, bad times..
What did they do to my boy QTUM?!
Usually, it is not a good sign when dead alts from the past (e.g. NEO, QTUM, WTC, IOST, WAN, QKC) are all pumping at once. I seem to recall this usually happens before a market dump.
VET basically had a god tier environment with rebuilt supply chains and tracking resources being high priority and has done little aside from release a stablecoin if I remember correctly? LINK launched staking to glorious boredom as it still seems to be a charity token to fund Chainlink labs who actually do cool stuff. ONE is effectively dead after a large scale bridge hack unbacked most wrapped assets on it and leadership fumbled how to handle it even though there wasn't a good way to do so. XLM is quietly building out but not drawing any narrative hype even though I think they've got smart contracts and DeFi going. BNB is getting a good amount of associated fud with Binance but honestly as long as ETH is having issues and Binance runs it can do well by being artificially held up. I know next to nothing about QTUM. None of those are keeps or indicative of a good future. Maybes on BNB, LINK, XLM, and VET though all lean towards sell. No idea on QTUM. Dump your ONE for a viable asset, honestly sell it and throw it in the big 2.
Haven’t paid attention to crypto for a while. My alts are BNB, LINK, QTUM, XLM, ONE, and VET. can someone tell me if I should keep these for the next bull run or are there better ones?
QTUM when it popped up to $80 after buying in at 17 right before they announced some quantum computing noise. I was staring at my phone in a Target and sold at like $60. I made a LOT from that. Bought myself LEGOs that night.
I have a wallet that I never touched thinking these coins were the future of the next cycle. Here’s a few that may trigger some nostalgia for the 2017 bull run vets: WaltonChain Raiblocks NEO Vechain EOS DragonChain LBRY credits ARK Siacoin Golem IOTA QTUM Here are the ones that actually made it: ADA WAVES XLM XMR (my favorite) And BITCONNEEECT
Its an honour to be featured amongst the likes of QTUM and TAVA. We’re in the big leagues now
This article features the following five cryptos for investors looking for cryptos to buy with more upside potential. Naturally, this comes with more volatility, but these assets should fit the “highly speculative” criteria: 1. Qtum (QTUM-USD) 2. r/Cryptocurrency Moons (MOON-USD) 3. ALTAVA (TAVA-USD) 4. XRP (XRP-USD) 5. Filecoin (FIL-USD)
QTUM, LTC, XMR, and not a moonshot but o/c BTC
I have some QTUM that I got from learn and trade, it went from 15$ to 2$ got some 0.8 of the coin. Not a stellar price preformance.
Qtum (QTUM) **r/Cryptocurrency Moons (MOON)** ALTAVA (TAVA) XRP (XRP) Filecoin (FIL)
MOONS baby! And wow, you don't see a ton of articles suggesting QTUM. I barely hear about QTUM these days.
Lol. Reddit baggies will never learn to look out for next batch of L1 instead of staying married with old generation ones who get diluted ad infinitum via staking and VCs. Let me guess, in 2019 when DOT dropped, you were holding QTUM because it had such great bear market development activity?
Can a say a bit bout QTUM? Thanks for the suggestions.
QTUM, set a high bar with a massive rally 17-18 to almost 100usd, Topped out around 30 this time. Still got hopes though!
QTUM was marketed as the Korean Ethereum I believe? 😂
Would love to see QTUM included in this list as well. Follows the halving schedule similar to Bitcoin.
Alright, convince me to buy QTUM
QTUM, one of the most promising projects early on that combines the security of Bitcoin with the programmability of Ethereum with PoS. Not enough people care about decentralization these days though.. (Yet)
I could understand why you won't go for NANO and QTUM, but AXS? What do you have against AXS, if this is a ripple effect of the 2020 hack then you are a bit too late because they have bounced back stronger, hopefully when I am confident of entering the market again I can exit some of my stablecoin yield farming position on Spool, but for now since the rewards are juicy I would be there considering it's even noncustodial so no scares of a hack.
Interesting list, but already know something about all of them except QTUM which I plan to look into! I could easily add a few projects there such as DAFI (rewarding system and inflation controlling features) URUS (Crypto Bloomberg) or Unique Network (Next generation of NFTs)
No, I won't explore QTUM, NANO and Axie Infinity in 2022. Instead, I would replace them with ATOM, MATIC and OCEAN. These are 3 of my favourite projects to have right now.
The truth of the matter is that at this moment, the weak hands are out already and most investors are looking into blockchain tokens like Ethereum and Polygon as well as those that are focused on building quantum-resistant blockchain solution like QTUM and QANX
What is this QTUM scam shitty coin?
The fun part is trying to predict what alts will come back next time. Some will break the cycle and return like ADA and XRP did but most won’t. What’s in the top 20 now could be very different next bull market. Regardless of how good the project is. Imagine the 2025 new investors not even knowing or giving a shit what SOL, LUNA or DOT is because there will another new set of alts taking the spotlight or those projects will be around still but the price action will be shit. A lot of new investors this bull cycle didn’t know or give a shit about QTUM, NEO or OMG and if you haven’t heard of those then… yeah.
Anyone ever try to send QTUM out of their Ledger and get an API HTTP 400 error?
I think that anyone who is holding anything other than BTC, ETH will be rekt... maybe SOL, maybe ADA survive, but I am not really certain on that. I mean, look at what happened to NEO, ICX, BCH, DASH, IOTA, ZCASH, ETC, QTUM... all shitcoins by today's standards. In today's market, if a coin is down 60-70% from ATH it means that the coin is not going to survive the crypto winter. It might pump in the future, but it won't keep up with the market. I don't plan on holding anything but cash when we blow off the top. I did it the last cycle, and it worked well for me, I'll do the same this time. I will DCA on my exits when I see the market getting overheated and will sit in cash for a couple of years before the bottom comes in.
Well, one of my best performers is QTUM! Happy I met this coin just before thiw current party!
QTUM seems to wake up. Any thoughts and feelings about it?
Sure but most that I've came across are large caps (top 100) like QNT & QTUM unlike QANX that looks better being a midcap (between 450 - 550th).
The Mental Health Crisis Afflicting [Some] Crypto Investors If you yolo’d “your life’s savings” into Doge in May, that’s a problem with you, not crypto. The advice here is sometimes schizophrenic, but that’s what happens on a free/open forum. The classic advice, remains the same; * Only invest what you can afford to lose * Have a portfolio that consists of 50% of only both BTC and ETH, preferably 75% of your portfolio. * DCA invest into the market regardless of price action. This should be robotic/automatic * Have a long time horizon on BTC and ETH and watch everything else like a hawk. The SOL, AVAX, LUNA, and DOT of this cycle could the NEO, QTUM, NEM, and EOS of last cycle. I recommend a minimum 4 year HODL. If you did this 4 years ago, you’d still be up - way up. I know, because this is exactly what I do. Pretty vanilla during a raging bull market, but I’m not thinking bad thoughts during a bear market.
Sell GRT and QTUM.
Post is by: DwaywelayTOP and the url/text [ ](https://goo.gl/GP6ppk)is: /r/CryptoCurrency/comments/sqmi0m/why_you_should_pay_attention_to_htmlcoin/ Hi everyone, It has been a while since I wrote about a project I've been eyeing on since 2014. It's called Htmlcoin. Even if they've had their share of ups and downs, there's no denying that they've made progress since 2014. They achieved their first important milestone in late 2017 when they practically forked the QTUM project. It's not uncommon for someone to respond by asking, "Why bother with HTMLcoin when you can have QTUM?" It's a question with some merit, but it's fundamentally faulty. I'd like to use this analogy to show why: This is the kind of thing that would make you think twice before wagering money on a car race. Even if all you have is this knowledge, going with the McLaren isn't a horrible idea. Who do you think would win if we had to place Lewis Hamilton in the family sedan and a neighborhood handyman in the McLaren? It's all about the people and what they're doing with the technology, not the technology itself! That HTMLcoin is superior to QTUM is a moot question since HTMLcoin does not compete directly with QTUM. There is no doubt in my mind that the Htmlcoin team has gone a long way and will continue to persevere. Visit their new website and whitepaper to learn more about them. [https://htmlcoin.com/](https://htmlcoin.com/) [https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/html-coin/](https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/html-coin/) *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. I only know what I know but there are plenty more. A few off the top of my head CRO, Hedera, Tezos, Microsoft Azure, Meta, Square, QTUM, ZCash, IOTA…
Ok! Going all in on QTUM now. Thanks for the tip
At least you didn't buy QTUM
I wouldn’t buy and hold anything for YEARS other than BTC and ETH. Everything else ebbs and wanes like the tide. Unfortunately for a lot of the top projects of 2017/2018, the went back out with the tide and are lost at sea. Looking at you IOTA, NEM, NEO, QTUM, EOS, BCH, ICX, XVG, ZEC and NANO
Neo has continued to evolve with N3 was just released and has a promising outlook of dapps being released this year along with arguably best in class developer tools and language support. N2 was too difficult to develop upon. I agree that most L1s will die as is natural in any startup world but there will always be room for a dozen viable solutions to be successful in parallel. Tron was always marketing hype over substance, never heard of KMD, LISK, QTUM, ICON and many others never really beared fruit
SAND or QTUM as the 4th part of my monthly DCA?
Article says QTUM, don't need to ready anymore 👀☠☠!
2023 is short but BTC XMR QTUM
Once you have an army of bag holders it's pretty hard to keep going up. VET, NANO, XVG, NEO, EOS, TRON, IOTA, ZIL, QTUM? A lot of people don't even know what half of these are, but they all have one thing in common.
The list seems a bit random. I can see AVAX and ALGO having a strong case to triple. IOTA is a toss up. They've run into some problems, but at the same time there's been a lot of development, and if it can finally deliver the goods it will more than triple. Axie infinity has a good case, but it may also be fueled by the current hype. And that usually means it can flash and then fizzle. XLM seems to be better suited to be a stablecoin than a 3x coin. QTUM has been trying to be relevant again for the last 3 years, but keeps getting overshadowed. Nano may attract a new wave of new investors, but it's going to be increasingly hard with increasingly strong competition, with many projects having instantaneous transactions at near $0 fees, but with smart contracts and a lot more bells and whistles.
AVAX, XLM and QTUM. Saved you a click.
Mana and Enjin are great (Enjins wallet app is kinda sketch for its integrated keyboard=red flag) but I don’t know why more folks pay attention to $QTUM. It’s a layer 1 dinosaur coin from 2016 that slides under the radar because marketing is Asia focused, but MAN DOES THIS THING PUMP!! It’s been around for so long that it follows $BTCs exact moves to almost a TEE, regardless of its volume. Give it a glance, when you get a chance.
Yes and now. The network can make a consensus about a backup after the attack and patch the software. But I'm into QTUM just for the case.
I’ve got to many shitty alts from the 2017/2018 run. I’m waiting (and hoping) for another leg to this bull run and a subsequent alt season to dump them if/when they pump. EOS, NEO, XVG, QTUM, DASH, BCH, IOTA, XLM, XEM and maybe even NANO and XRP. I’ll probably keep VET.
QTUM did this as well https://www.verdict.co.uk/blockchain-in-space-spacechain-qtum/
QTUM gaming and NFTs inbound.
tldr; The Taproot upgrade is the first major Bitcoin network upgrade in four years. The upgrade aims to introduce smart contract capabilities and offer greater transaction privacy on the Bitcoin network. Over 90% of the miners voted in favor of the upgrade. QTUM and Nimble Syscoin are among the other blockchains implementing the upgrade on their blockchains. *This summary is auto generated by a bot and not meant to replace reading the original article. As always, DYOR.*
Hence it’s “safer” - just a relative term. DASH, ZCASH, LISK, BCH, QTUM, NEO etc were once even on top 10 but now not as relevant. Though I think I did an analysis this morning and Bitcoin Cash is still 88% from the $3,700 ATH (2018) but 69% holders are still profit.
I think QTUM needs to hit a new ATH before we can say “it’s back”, right?
Bitcoin and Ethereum. But that would be like combining a lion and a great white shark. It’d be an abomination. Besides, they already did that a few years ago. It’s called QTUM and no one cares about it.
I agree with Snowden. That why look at [mobius.money/](https://mobius.money/) AVAX,SOL, POLY, ETH, CELO for stablecoin farms. And games like Kart Racing league to have fun. POLY, Coming to BNB, SOL, QTUM. It's not zero sum.
Oh I forgot Kart Racing League is on MATIC and coming to BNB, SOL, and QTUM.
Is there any hope for QTUM anymore? Have hodled for a long time, time to cut the losses and invest in something else?
To me, it's a bandwagon of 90% ADA shitposters farming for MOONS. A lot of people obviously have faith in the future of ADA. XLM- $8.1 billion cap, **35%** of ATH ALGO- 11B, 53% GRT- 4B, 30% AAVE- 3B, 34% QTUM- 1.3B, 14% VET- 7B, 39% LTC- 11B, 35%
Still salty, my QTUM seed disappeared. Put them in a vault 3 years ago and it's simply gone.
I would like to point out that the title of this post is grossly misleading, and it shows that OP hasn't done their respective research. For years now many decentralized blockchain projects have been claiming they're the one's to be "the first blockchain to provide post-quantum security" (i.e. QANX, VRSC, QTUM, MCM, and QRL to name few)! On this fact alone, we know that post-quantum security isn't a new concept in the blockchain/decentralized community, and there's no way ALGO could the first to implement it. If this is a case (or debate) of whether or not the aforementioned projects are really post-quantum resistant and/or which one really was the first to successfully implement post-quantum security, then that achievement would have to go to QRL (Quantum Resistant Ledger)--hands down. In short, this really comes down to the signature scheme used by the blockchain to sign transactions and whether or not the blockchain was forked to provide such security. QRL uses XMSS, which is approved by the NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology) as a post-quantum secure digital signature scheme. And unlike other projects which claim they can simply fork to a more secure signature scheme, QRL was designed like this from it's genesis block. This is important because even if blockchains can fork over to "become post-quantum secure", it will only work for wallets created after the fork--leaving any wallet created prior subject to quantum attacks. A quantum computer running SHOR's algorithm would still be able to derive the wallets private keys using the public key, which is public information that is stored and easily viewable on the blockchain. If you don't believe me just go to their website ([TheQRL.org](https://www.theqrl.org/)) and view their [Academic Citations](https://www.theqrl.org/research/citations/).
This is why I follow QTUM on Twitter. They sponsor gaming prizes, so I don’t have too. 😅
EOS, QTUM, and WanChain sounds like the early 2018 cryptocurrency crash survivor bag list. None of those cryptocurrencies have a stadium named after them, have matt Damon moon commercials or Their logos on pro sports jerseys/uniforms.
Some dates to keep in mind: * November 30th - Cardano [ADA] PAB Update (The Plutus Application Backend is a way to help the developers of dApps test their applications before deploying them on a live production environment) * November 30th - Binance Coin [BNB] is having a hard fork (upgrade v1.1.5) * December 1st - Qtum [QTUM] is having it's first halving this december
Non-Bonding staking because it a crypto currency. ZenGo Wallet non bond staking XTZ. ALGO. QTUM. IOTA. Valora Wallet non bond staking stablecoins, AND DAO friendly cryptos, that means they got ducks in a row. Do your research. Good luck.
QTUM was supposed to be the future.
I forgot all about QTUM. (Backed by the CCP, so it's safe lol)
MOVR - ETH 2.0 that actually works and was close to a complete supply shock before the dip RMRK - this will be THE go to NFT of entire space with it's tech (NFT 2.0) and use cases,10m/10m out in circulation, deflationary, no shitty VC funds to dump on you. LRC - You already know QTUM - halvening soon AVAX - will finish in top 5 by the end of this bull
TRON, EOS, Walton Chain, ONT(I think is basically dead?) QTUM, ARK, LISK(rumor has it they are trying a comeback in Q1 2022) MAID. This sub was all about WaltonChain 4 years ago.
definitly QTUM. others would be STMX,REEF or CHZ just my 2 cents
