For those who got clickbaited, no QTUM hasn't solved the trilemma. This is shills selling you snake oil. 1,000 TPS is still pretty far from achieving real scalability, especially when so many chains can do at least 10x that, and several chains do 100 to 1,000 times that amount. While it's built to be decentralized, it's nowhere near as decentralized as Bitcoin. There's a heavy allocation to the team. A team that has no shortage of red flags. Notably Patrick Dai using fake aliases and was involved in previous ICO scams.

VET basically had a god tier environment with rebuilt supply chains and tracking resources being high priority and has done little aside from release a stablecoin if I remember correctly? LINK launched staking to glorious boredom as it still seems to be a charity token to fund Chainlink labs who actually do cool stuff. ONE is effectively dead after a large scale bridge hack unbacked most wrapped assets on it and leadership fumbled how to handle it even though there wasn't a good way to do so. XLM is quietly building out but not drawing any narrative hype even though I think they've got smart contracts and DeFi going. BNB is getting a good amount of associated fud with Binance but honestly as long as ETH is having issues and Binance runs it can do well by being artificially held up. I know next to nothing about QTUM. None of those are keeps or indicative of a good future. Maybes on BNB, LINK, XLM, and VET though all lean towards sell. No idea on QTUM. Dump your ONE for a viable asset, honestly sell it and throw it in the big 2.

I could understand why you won't go for NANO and QTUM, but AXS? What do you have against AXS, if this is a ripple effect of the 2020 hack then you are a bit too late because they have bounced back stronger, hopefully when I am confident of entering the market again I can exit some of my stablecoin yield farming position on Spool, but for now since the rewards are juicy I would be there considering it's even noncustodial so no scares of a hack.

The fun part is trying to predict what alts will come back next time. Some will break the cycle and return like ADA and XRP did but most won’t. What’s in the top 20 now could be very different next bull market. Regardless of how good the project is. Imagine the 2025 new investors not even knowing or giving a shit what SOL, LUNA or DOT is because there will another new set of alts taking the spotlight or those projects will be around still but the price action will be shit. A lot of new investors this bull cycle didn’t know or give a shit about QTUM, NEO or OMG and if you haven’t heard of those then… yeah.

I think that anyone who is holding anything other than BTC, ETH will be rekt... maybe SOL, maybe ADA survive, but I am not really certain on that. I mean, look at what happened to NEO, ICX, BCH, DASH, IOTA, ZCASH, ETC, QTUM... all shitcoins by today's standards. In today's market, if a coin is down 60-70% from ATH it means that the coin is not going to survive the crypto winter. It might pump in the future, but it won't keep up with the market. I don't plan on holding anything but cash when we blow off the top. I did it the last cycle, and it worked well for me, I'll do the same this time. I will DCA on my exits when I see the market getting overheated and will sit in cash for a couple of years before the bottom comes in.

The Mental Health Crisis Afflicting [Some] Crypto Investors If you yolo’d “your life’s savings” into Doge in May, that’s a problem with you, not crypto. The advice here is sometimes schizophrenic, but that’s what happens on a free/open forum. The classic advice, remains the same; * Only invest what you can afford to lose * Have a portfolio that consists of 50% of only both BTC and ETH, preferably 75% of your portfolio. * DCA invest into the market regardless of price action. This should be robotic/automatic * Have a long time horizon on BTC and ETH and watch everything else like a hawk. The SOL, AVAX, LUNA, and DOT of this cycle could the NEO, QTUM, NEM, and EOS of last cycle. I recommend a minimum 4 year HODL. If you did this 4 years ago, you’d still be up - way up. I know, because this is exactly what I do. Pretty vanilla during a raging bull market, but I’m not thinking bad thoughts during a bear market.

Post is by: DwaywelayTOP and the url/text [ ](https://goo.gl/GP6ppk)is: /r/CryptoCurrency/comments/sqmi0m/why_you_should_pay_attention_to_htmlcoin/ Hi everyone, It has been a while since I wrote about a project I've been eyeing on since 2014. It's called Htmlcoin. Even if they've had their share of ups and downs, there's no denying that they've made progress since 2014. They achieved their first important milestone in late 2017 when they practically forked the QTUM project. It's not uncommon for someone to respond by asking, "Why bother with HTMLcoin when you can have QTUM?" It's a question with some merit, but it's fundamentally faulty. I'd like to use this analogy to show why: This is the kind of thing that would make you think twice before wagering money on a car race. Even if all you have is this knowledge, going with the McLaren isn't a horrible idea. Who do you think would win if we had to place Lewis Hamilton in the family sedan and a neighborhood handyman in the McLaren? It's all about the people and what they're doing with the technology, not the technology itself! That HTMLcoin is superior to QTUM is a moot question since HTMLcoin does not compete directly with QTUM. There is no doubt in my mind that the Htmlcoin team has gone a long way and will continue to persevere. Visit their new website and whitepaper to learn more about them. [https://htmlcoin.com/](https://htmlcoin.com/) [https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/html-coin/](https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/html-coin/) *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. I wouldn’t buy and hold anything for YEARS other than BTC and ETH. Everything else ebbs and wanes like the tide. Unfortunately for a lot of the top projects of 2017/2018, the went back out with the tide and are lost at sea. Looking at you IOTA, NEM, NEO, QTUM, EOS, BCH, ICX, XVG, ZEC and NANO

r/CryptoCurrencySee Comment

Neo has continued to evolve with N3 was just released and has a promising outlook of dapps being released this year along with arguably best in class developer tools and language support. N2 was too difficult to develop upon. I agree that most L1s will die as is natural in any startup world but there will always be room for a dozen viable solutions to be successful in parallel. Tron was always marketing hype over substance, never heard of KMD, LISK, QTUM, ICON and many others never really beared fruit

Once you have an army of bag holders it's pretty hard to keep going up. VET, NANO, XVG, NEO, EOS, TRON, IOTA, ZIL, QTUM? A lot of people don't even know what half of these are, but they all have one thing in common.

r/CryptoCurrencySee Comment

The list seems a bit random. I can see AVAX and ALGO having a strong case to triple. IOTA is a toss up. They've run into some problems, but at the same time there's been a lot of development, and if it can finally deliver the goods it will more than triple. Axie infinity has a good case, but it may also be fueled by the current hype. And that usually means it can flash and then fizzle. XLM seems to be better suited to be a stablecoin than a 3x coin. QTUM has been trying to be relevant again for the last 3 years, but keeps getting overshadowed. Nano may attract a new wave of new investors, but it's going to be increasingly hard with increasingly strong competition, with many projects having instantaneous transactions at near $0 fees, but with smart contracts and a lot more bells and whistles.

r/CryptoCurrencySee Comment

AVAX, XLM and QTUM. Saved you a click.

Bitcoin and Ethereum. But that would be like combining a lion and a great white shark. It’d be an abomination. Besides, they already did that a few years ago. It’s called QTUM and no one cares about it.

I agree with Snowden. That why look at [mobius.money/](https://mobius.money/) AVAX,SOL, POLY, ETH, CELO for stablecoin farms. And games like Kart Racing league to have fun. POLY, Coming to BNB, SOL, QTUM. It's not zero sum.

r/CryptoCurrencySee Comment

Oh I forgot Kart Racing League is on MATIC and coming to BNB, SOL, and QTUM.

Is there any hope for QTUM anymore? Have hodled for a long time, time to cut the losses and invest in something else?

To me, it's a bandwagon of 90% ADA shitposters farming for MOONS. A lot of people obviously have faith in the future of ADA. XLM- $8.1 billion cap, **35%** of ATH ALGO- 11B, 53% GRT- 4B, 30% AAVE- 3B, 34% QTUM- 1.3B, 14% VET- 7B, 39% LTC- 11B, 35%

Still salty, my QTUM seed disappeared. Put them in a vault 3 years ago and it's simply gone.

I would like to point out that the title of this post is grossly misleading, and it shows that OP hasn't done their respective research. For years now many decentralized blockchain projects have been claiming they're the one's to be "the first blockchain to provide post-quantum security" (i.e. QANX, VRSC, QTUM, MCM, and QRL to name few)! On this fact alone, we know that post-quantum security isn't a new concept in the blockchain/decentralized community, and there's no way ALGO could the first to implement it. If this is a case (or debate) of whether or not the aforementioned projects are really post-quantum resistant and/or which one really was the first to successfully implement post-quantum security, then that achievement would have to go to QRL (Quantum Resistant Ledger)--hands down. In short, this really comes down to the signature scheme used by the blockchain to sign transactions and whether or not the blockchain was forked to provide such security. QRL uses XMSS, which is approved by the NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology) as a post-quantum secure digital signature scheme. And unlike other projects which claim they can simply fork to a more secure signature scheme, QRL was designed like this from it's genesis block. This is important because even if blockchains can fork over to "become post-quantum secure", it will only work for wallets created after the fork--leaving any wallet created prior subject to quantum attacks. A quantum computer running SHOR's algorithm would still be able to derive the wallets private keys using the public key, which is public information that is stored and easily viewable on the blockchain. If you don't believe me just go to their website ([TheQRL.org](https://www.theqrl.org/)) and view their [Academic Citations](https://www.theqrl.org/research/citations/).

This is why I follow QTUM on Twitter. They sponsor gaming prizes, so I don’t have too. 😅

EOS, QTUM, and WanChain sounds like the early 2018 cryptocurrency crash survivor bag list. None of those cryptocurrencies have a stadium named after them, have matt Damon moon commercials or Their logos on pro sports jerseys/uniforms.

Non-Bonding staking because it a crypto currency. ZenGo Wallet non bond staking XTZ. ALGO. QTUM. IOTA. Valora Wallet non bond staking stablecoins, AND DAO friendly cryptos, that means they got ducks in a row. Do your research. Good luck.
