I’m a bit confused and could use some help understanding what just happened. I swapped about 0.02 ETH (around $70) for Polymath (POLY) on my Trust Wallet. But now, somehow, I have $500 worth of POLY in my wallet. I’m not sure how this happened. I noticed the word “Ethereum” next to POLY. I’m guessing that’s because POLY is built on the Ethereum blockchain, but I’m still unclear on how I ended up with so much more value than I swapped for.

Hey I'm completely new to this. Could anyone tell me: what's the lowest-risk, lowest-fee Crypto wallet available now? I've heard negative things about just about every Crypto wallet (e.g., I've been using Coinbase but keep hearing horror stories about Coinbase closing people's accounts). I don't know if any wallet has particularly low fees. I'd mostly be interested in storing major coins like BTC, ETH, POLY, etc. I don't need any special features -- literally just storage. I use the StrikeX wallet, although it’s a wallet it has integrated swap features for BTC ETH BSC SOL POLY ARB & BASE with more being added all the time. Most are already listed but if it is a very new token you may have to import the contract address.. it’s v1 of the wallet right now which works perfectly well, but v2 is expected in the coming weeks

Moving this to Daily Discussion vs posting a new thread. ​ I spend quite a bit of time researching altcoins to make up a part of my portfolio. While I'm mostly invested with BTC and ETH, I do like learning about altcoins in order to make the most out of the coming bullrun in the next two years. Paul Barron is great, Ben Cowen, James at InvestAnswers, Gareth Soloway, etc. usually provide the best, non-moon boy news. What has become exhausting is the projects themselves. I was once VERY excited about GALA. Their token migration, failure in attempting to break into music, releasing tokens for every game, etc. has really seemed like they're just throw stuff at the walls and seeing what sticks. The PBN did a GREAT podcast on just this and why they might not be as bullish on GALA as they once were. The constant keeping up of altcoins and the portfolio constantly changing as news comes out has seriously made me consider moving from a portfolio of: \-BTC \-ETH \-GALA \-XRP \-POLY (MATIC) \-RNDR And going to STRICTLY a portfolio of 75% BTC and 25% ETH. Admittedly, the goblins in my head take over when I try to balance FOMO on big returns with altcoins and the peace of mind with primarily investing in "blue chip" crypto.

When you refer to POLY are you talking about the migration Polygon MATIC is projecting to do? If so, you'd be looking for POL instead. POLY is a totally different token.

I do to. It’s becoming a household name with all its partnerships and has good tokenomics. ETH L1 is terrible in my opinion. I personally try to avoid it at all costs. I heard they were going to rebrand their ticker from MATIC to PLY or POLY. I really hope they don’t. It will confuse the shit out of people and there’s already a token named that out there with decent sized MC.

Sold all of my BNB available personally. I've got a bunch staked atm which I can't do much about, and there's a chance it'll bounce back in a few months (and probably will), but tbh I just cannot be arsed dealing with CZ and Binance any longer, and these days crypto is getting too stressful. So I'll likely sell of the remaining BNB once that stake ends too. Over my last 3 years of being in this crypto scene, I've wittled down my folio to to an equal 3-way split of CRO, ETH, and BTC. Honestly I'd just have the latter two at this point but I've already DCA'd CRO to my favour, and the card perks are still nice despite the reward slashes (also it doesn't hurt that CDC are one of the last crypto platforms not tits-deep in controversies or legal troubles rn) Let go of my DOGE, LTC, POLY, TRON, FTM and a few others over time, and BNB now too. If you're in this game for a risky yet logically safe investment plan, stick to the big 2 and only branch out to the coins you're willing to risk (like CRO in my case) a little for.

Most likely the alt layer 1s like avax, POLY, ADA, DOT fantom, ect… will do good. New layer 2s like arbitrum will probably perform well. UNI and CAKE will likely perform well too. the IDO/launchpad tokens like paid could see a big resurgence in a bull run. BTC is solid because there doesn't need to be a team. For the rest - look at the team and partnerships. Also research XMR, XLM, ALGO, POLY, ADA, SOL. Team - where's it's ecosystem leading it? Who are these individuals affiliated with? How far down do these executives roots go in terms of Tradfi? Does this ecosystem have Defi to grow my asset without myself putting additional money? I'd avoid meme coins if you're looking for long term and utility. Of the abovementioned I'm personally most bullish on Algo but I'm gaining yield continuously and have been for 3 years so I think of it as my dividends. Goodluck!

I went through this same process for the first time not long ago. I sent some random crypto from my cold storage to coinbase, used that to buy MATIC (but I bought on ETH instead of POLY). Sent that back to my cold storage, then sent part of it to Metamask before my stupid ass had realized I bought poly on the wrong chain, and the wallet I had sent it to had no eth in it to bridge. I don't really have an issue with bridges, or bridge times. What I do have an issue with is all the hoops you have to jump through to get to point A to point B.
